Interview with Idiots Finished

At Percival’s explanation of his nickname, Hanako simply chuckled and shook his head but said nothing. If he keeps giving them reactions like this, there was no way Lei and Hanako would ever stop calling him ‘Parshal’.

Although he makes it his life mission to always act cool and apathetic, he couldn’t stop the genuine smile on his face when Percival guessed him and Lei’s history together. Noticing his smile a bit too late, he tried to change it to some-what of a sarcastic one. “ Well, no other kid in our neighborhood could handle his snob of a personality ~“ He snickered, missing out the fact that it was definitely Lei that put up with Hanako.

With a kid that constantly plays hard to get and a kid that couldn’t give two craps, it was bound to be a long-lasting companionship.


Hanako listened to Percival’s answer, and couldn’t help but feel relieved. It was precisely what he hoped the blond kid would say. “ You’d be surprised at how easy it is to switch.“

“ All you need to do is find a room that has an extra bed or two. “ He finished with an innocent smile. It took an eternity, but Hanako finally guessed not everyone got to see his request for a new roommate. Previous petty annoyance towards the Slytherin diminished with every conversation they exchange.

“ Say Rainwood, during our short time together, do you think you’d mind sharing a room with two pairs of innocent slytherins~? I’ll cut to the chase to make it easier for you. We’re one of the people with extra beds. And although we planned to interview anyone interested in switching rooms, I can say personally we would be glad to have a roommate like you~”

He was less concerned about getting rejected by Percival. It felt nice to speak the truth once in a while and he will not hesitate to make Percival’s life in Hogwarts more tedious than occasionally losing his wand if he got rejected.

He was tired of waiting for someone to see his request and isn’t it too much of a coincidence to have some random dude show up complaining about a crappy roommate just after Lei asked him about it? Although it was hard to read that from him when he smiles so innocently like that.

He liked Rainwood. He managed to give hints that he was honest, confident and not entirely friendly, which was what Hanako loved to see in an ally.

Percival barely caught the genuine smile that graced the other's lips for a few moments before it turned to a colder smile. Even though the smile lasted a few moments, Percival's spirits seemed to lift anyways.

The boy hadn't really connected with the other students he had met at Hogwarts. Yet, Percival felt almost at ease with this kid.

"Oh I bet." he joked taking a glance at the posh kid next to Hanako. The other seemed to have a personality that could probably get on the nerves of others.

Percival was elated to hear that he could switch easily as long as there was an extra bed. Though there still came the problem of it being quite a ways into the school year. He wondered if he should ask around a little to see if anyone had any open beds. Percival bet if he put on his best Pureblood manners he could probably get someone to cave into his request.

The boy could not help but let his eyes widen in surprise as Hanako got straight to the point. It honestly surprised him to find that a kid he knew for literally less than thirty minutes would offer him a bed.

Even though he was surprised, Percival could not help but get a good feeling about Hanako. Sure the other kid could get on his nerves, but the other seemed to offer something that Percival would never be able to find again.

Maybe it was the thought of hanging out with a supposed troublemaker. Though Percival wasn't very sure.

With a grin, Percival held his hand out to the other. "I think I might just take you up on that offer.
