Hallway Collision
Noah blinked at her for a second then let out a short laugh
“Ah cat out of it bag huh?” he said, putting his hands on his lap clearly still catching his breath he really needed to work out more or this school really needed elevators, he shook his head,
“I won’t lie to you really, not like I am even a good lier trust me a lot of people tell me I couldn't lie to save myself but yeah I’m late like you we were supposed to be there at 12 pm but you came at 8 pm late. he gestured between them, “im trying not to b late but…it’s not going well.”
A small grin slipped in.
“But crashing into people is now part of the strategy, apparently. You wouldnt know how many people I bump into on a daily”
He glanced down the hallway again, then back at her, eyes a little more focused now.
“You sure you’re good though? I didn’t just end your whole Hogwarts career on day one?”
There was a beat, then he added, a bit lighter:
“Because imagine ‘how did it end?Oh, some random guy just ran into me.’ That would be so bad.”
He rubbed the back of his neck, then pointed down the corridor.
“I’ve got, like… two seconds before I’m officially late, so....”
He started backing up a little, already turning.
“Sorry again, yeah? I owe you one. Next time I’ll try not to use you as a stopping point.”
Then, with a quick half-wave and that same easy grin
He took off again down the corridor.
“See you when I see you!” he called back over his shoulder.

Hallway Collision
Alexander was actually… suprisingly excited.
Which, for him, was like really really rare.
He walked quickly down the corridor, clutching his book a little tighter than usual, his mind completely focused on one thing.
Defence Against the Dark Arts.
They were finally going to start learning about basic defensive spells and magical threats nothing too advanced, but still… it was something. Something real. Something interesting.
His thoughts were already ahead of him. Maybe later he could borrow some books from the library and read a head of the class yeah that would be fun!. He wondered what kind of spells would they start with? Shield charms? Maybe basic counter-curses hmm.
He turned the corner.
And
BAM.
He walked straight into someone.
Hard.
Alexander stumbled back immediately, nearly losing his balance, his book slipping slightly in his grip as his entire train of thought shattered into nothing.
“Ow! Oh”
His voice came out small, startled, as he blinked rapidly, trying to process what just happened. Our what hit him. ¨ What i hit?¨
Then he looked up.
And froze.
It was that that boy from the library what was his name?Noah!
But Of course it was Noah.
Alex’s shoulders tensed instantly, his posture curling in as embarrassment hit him all at once.
“I—I’m so sorry” he said quickly, words rushing out before he could stop them. “I wasn’t looking and I”
He cut himself off, glancing down at his book, then back at Noah.
“…are you okay?” he added, quieter this time.
A small pause. Awkward
Then, almost like his brain rebooted
“Oh are you late.”
Not a question.
An observation.
A very obvious one really Alexander was also going to be late because of this. Mostly his fault he took so long in the bathroom wearing his contacts.
His gaze flicked down the hallway Noah had been running through, then back at him.
Alexander hesitated.
Then
“uhm…you should go,” he said softly, stepping slightly to the side to clear the path. “Before you crash into someone else…again.”
He didn’t mean for that last part to sound like a joke.
But it kind of did.

Hallway Collision
Noah had just recovered from one collision.
Keyword: just.
He was still half-running, half-sliding, turning another corner like he had learned absolutely nothing
And then like the world have it out for him
BAM.
Again.
Noah stumbled back harder this time, nearly tripping over his own feet.
“Okay, nah, this is actually getting ridiculous—”
He stopped mid-sentence.
Blink.
“…Wait.”
His eyes focused properly.
“Oh—yo—”
A grin broke across his face almost instantly.
“Library guy!”
He pointed at him like he’d just solved a mystery.
“Alexander, right?”
For a second, Noah looked way more excited than someone who had just body-checked the same person twice in one day should be.
“Yeah—yeah, I remember you.”
Then his brain caught up.
He straightened slightly, running a hand through his hair again.
“Also sorry. I swear I don’t normally go around collecting people like this"
He glanced down at Alexander’s book, then back at him.
“You good?”
There was a quick beat just enough for that easy concern to land before Noah’s eyes flicked down the corridor again.
Reality hit.
“Oh crap I am so late.”
He pointed behind him like the classroom was actively chasing him.
“Like… dangerously late. Like ‘professor already disappointed in me and I haven’t even entered yet’ late.”
Then his attention snapped back to Alexander, grin slipping back in despite everything.m
“But hey good to see you’re alive after earlier,” he added quickly. “That’s always a plus.”
Alexander told him to go.
Noah nodded immediately.
“Yeah yeah, you’re right. Before I take someone else out.”
He started backing away, then paused for half a second, like he didn’t want to just leave it there.
“Uh see you around, yeah?* Do finger guns*” he said, a bit quicker now.
Then, with a small, almost sheepish smirk—
“I’ll try not to hit you next time.”
And just like that
He turned and bolted down the corridor again, footsteps echoing as he disappeared around the next corner.
