Sorting Ceremony
The Great Hall was bigger than Lily had pictured. As she had walked in with the other first years, she had instantly noticed the candles floating above her like stars and the hum of voices, heard in every direction. She was fiddling with her sleeve the entire time as student by student went up to get sorted.
When her name was finally called, "Young, Lily!" her heart skipped. She tilted her chin up, trying to look braver than she felt. Her feet carried her toward the stool, that looked much too tall. She sat, hands held tightly in her lap, and the Sorting Hat slipped down over her head.
"Well now... Curious mind, loyal heart... You value fairness, but my, you have ambition burning to get out beneath that calm surface. A determination not to fail... And a willingness to bend the rules to reach what you believe is right."
Lily's pulse was beating faster as the Sorting Hat kept going.
"Ah," the voice whispered, chuckling. "Yes, I see it clearly now. Better be..."
Lily held her breath.
"SLYTHERIN!"
Lily realesed her breath.
Applause broke out through the Hall, louder than anyone ever chear for her before. She slid off the stool, cheeks turning pink, and caught sight of the green and silver banners. Her chest swelled with relief, maybe this was exactly where she was meant to be.

Sorting Ceremony
The Great Hall was enormous.
Andrea observed every single detail; the floating candles, the enchanted ceiling, the house banners, everything! It was almost just like how she imagined it, except the actual thing was way more captivating.
Along with the other first years, Andrea had made her way to the front of the hall. While the headmaster introduced himself and the sorting ceremony, Andrea had to keep her excitement behind a strained smile, almost like she was keeping in a giggle.
She observed the older students, seeing how they were happily chatting with people from their own houses. Andrea's mother was in Ravenclaw, her father in Slytherin. She hoped she would be sorted in either of the two, even though her parents wouldn't mind if she wasn't.
As the other first years were called, she couldn't help but notice how welcomed they were after getting sorted. Maybe this wouldn't be too bad. Andrea had slowly relaxed.
"Woodsburn, Andrea!"
Oh no. The nervousness that slipped away had found itself back into her mind. She stepped forward, each step feeling heavier than the last. She quietly sat down, completely ignoring the Sorting Hat's rambling.
"Better be..." The Sorting Hat started, snapping Andrea out of her thoughts. "RAVENCLAW!"
Andrea sighed a breath she didn't even know she was holding. She smiled tentatively, walking down towards the table of her respective house, filled with the welcoming smiles of her peers.

Demelza Rookwood was hastily pushed aside by another first year, but this time, she didn't care. Her worries were cast aside, (quite literally), by the enchanting scene that greeted her!
The ceiling looked like the night sky, the stars twinkling of a future that lay before her, the candles burnt bright above, but the craziest of all, were the ghosts, which suddenly swarmed towards them.
'Bloody hell!', a child yelped, as a ghost seemed to pass through him. He giggled uncontrollably, a very pompous man (in his past life).
'Hello first years! I am the Fat Friar!', he twinkled, swaying in the air, 'I am the house ghost of Hufflepuff! I hope to see some of you in my house, and finally bring glory to us!'
He sounded a bit pained.
Another girl from the side shrieked, pointing towards a gaunt ghost dressed in long robes, specks of silver blood on his torso. 'The Bloody Baron...', said the Fat Friar sinisterly, 'In his past life, he had-'
'STUDENTS!', shrieked the headmaster, Solomon Lear, clapping. His claps were heard throughout the hall, despite not being done with much strength.
He broke into a moving speech, his head nodding and then finally pointing towards a very grimy, old pointed hat on a stool.
Demelza remembered her mother's words.
'My love, the hat will seek your soul, which I know speaks of courage, honesty and bravery. You must not get sorted in Slytherin, it brings bad luck. No child of mine shall belong to Slytherin! I hope you will be a proud Gryffindor, just like me...'
She gulped at the thought of ever being in Slytherin. What her mother would say, would she be neglected, always out of reach of her mother's love?
Impossible, she murmured, not one ounce of her could ever belong to Slytherin, never, ever. The older students began talking about the first years, the four great tables seated with hundreds of children.
'That black haired girl, you know, the one with white glasses', a girl spoke, catching Demelza's ears, 'She looks like a Gryffindor student, or maybe a Ravenclaw.'
That would be nice...
The names were called.
'Gayle, Robert.'
He was sorted to Hufflepuff. Hah!
'Esteban, Mark.'
Oh, a Slytherin. The Slytherin were cursed, her mother always used to say, always ended up in the Dark Arts, always turning evil, killing people, just like her grandfather-
'Rookwood, Demelza.'
Oh. My. God.
Her heart thumped like crazy, her legs turned jelly.
Every eye in the Great Hall was fixed on her.
And she hated every second of it.
The attention, the chaos.
With determination, she marched to the platform.
Not Slytherin, she reminded herself.
She sat on the stool, copying her predecessor, and then the teacher placed the hat on her head, covering her eyes.
Everything was dark, she felt lost, despite being seated right there on the stool. A deep, earthy voice spoke in her head. Funny, it was always she who spoke to herself like that.
'Ahh', he observed, 'You have a heart of courage, of bravery, of strength. Of great deeds you would wish to perform, and the glory, the fame you seek.'
Demelza smiled to herself, which he surprisingly caught.
'Yes... its true, you should be pleased with yourself, but...', he trailed off.
She stopped smiling. 'Not Slytherin', she begged to herself, hoping that the hat would hear her.
'My dear, you are destined for great fortune! Students of Slytherin never fail to reach their goal, and you... you would do so well there.'
Oh dear.
'SLYTHERIN!', the Sorting Hat screamed, snapping her out of her thoughts.
All the students of Slytherin stood up to cheer for her, their claps louder than her thoughts.
What would she tell her mum?
She felt that she had betrayed her mother. But it had to wait.
Demelza walked slowly towards the table, her knees wobbly and her heart hammering, smiling.

The Great Hall was… loud.
People where whispering, talking, crying, laughing
Piper stood in line with the other first-years, she was feeling nervous and scared. She kept her hands tucked into her sleeves
She was fine.
…okay, maybe not completely.
Names kept getting called. One by one, they put the hat on them and then boom house decided
Some of them looked like they were about to pass out.
Some looked way too confident.thinking they will go to the house they wanted
“Piper.”
She blinked.
Oh. Great. That was her.
She walked up, trying to look normal like this wasn’t a huge deal.
She sat down.
The hat dropped over her eyes, and everything went dark.
“…huh.”
Piper froze.
“Okay,” the voice said, sounding almost amused. “You’re interesting.”
Her brain immediately went:
That’s not reassuring.
The hat gave a quiet little laugh.
“Relax.”
She will ask for a second
“You act like you’ve got everything handled,” it went on. “Like nothing really gets to you.”
Piper didn’t answer, but yeah… she knew that was kind of true.
“But you don’t like standing back either. If something’s happening, you’re in it. Whether you should be or not.”
…okay, also true.
There was a small pause.
“You’re clever. You pick things up fast. You know how to talk your way out of trouble when you need to
Piper thought yes that is definitely me
“You don’t care about being in control. Not really. You just—act. You see something, you go for it.”
Yes I do thank you for just describing me she thought in her head oh she thought in her head
Another pause.
“And when it matters… you don’t walk away.”
Yes I don't walk away I fight she thought in her head
“Not afraid of a little risk either.”
Nope I am not afraid of a little weeks what do you think I am a p**** cat
Piper almost smiled.
She waited, heart beating a little faster now.
People were waiting for the announcement of her house
“GRYFFINDOR!”
The hat was lifted off
Piper blinked, then let out a breath.
Gryffindor.
Huh.
A small smile pulled on her face
She stood up
Still a little nervous.
But also?
Kinda excited.

Great Hall
✶ ˖ ࣪ ⊹ love as soft and warm as spring
--The nerves rattled through Madeline's stomach from the moment they stepped off the train. Sharp and restless, like the endless amount of energy she carried with her most of the time had taken manifest right up under her ribs. Of course, she'd heard all about the majesty of the castle over the years. It was part of the bedtime stories told by her parents in the comfort of her home, the anecdotes from Kit when he came home for the holidays, and of course a topic in parting at the parties over the summer about what she was most looking forward to in 'this next exciting chapter of her life'... and yet, Maddie didn't feel like she could fully appreciate it nor take it all in - as if she were still outside of Hogwarts entirely, watching through the scope of someone who had viewed it with awe in her imagination for so many years rather than someone whose feet were right outside the gates.
Was this how this was supposed to feel? Why didn't she feel at home yet?
As the group of first years stepped into the hall, she smoothed the material over her gown for what must have been the fifth time in the same amount of minutes. She'd had a growing feeling in her gut over the past few days (was it days? Weeks perhaps?) that she wouldn't be joining the ranks of most of the Montfords that came before her and, honestly, she didn't quite know how to feel about it.Littler Madeline had taken such pride in being different, wearing her bubbliness like a shroud of glory. Yet, as the first years continued to shuffle forward, many of their heads turned to the scene on the ceiling, Madeline found herself mostly scared that for the first time ever it felt like everyone else would know it too when the material of the hat would land on her head and shout 'ah the black sheep of the family!' for the rest of Hogwarts to hear.
Little could ease her mind as the long table draped in green came into view and she tried not to catch either of her sibling's gazes as names continued to be called forward. She simply didn't feel like she could hold any form of composure if she did. It would only take one look for Kit to know. Madeline had never had Kit's composure. The cool, calm and collected older brother. A parent's dream. Nor did she have Flossie's determined gaze. Everything Maddie did had a way of showing - be it in her hands that gripped a little too tightly in an argument, the furrow of her brow, or the words that would always betray her no matter how much she tried to keep any form of Montford dignity.
And then...
--"Montford, Madeline."
It was time. With a swallowed gulp and her fingernails digging into her palms, the small girl stepped forward, using the last amount of courage she had to guide her towards the hat.
The world seemed to slip away from her from the moment the hat came down on her head.
--"Oh? What have we here... the youngest Montford has made her way to Hogwarts."
--"... Yes." Says she, voice no louder than a whisper. Such a far cry from the usual barks and squeaks of her lilted tongue. Like the lion's roar had died in her throat.
--"And such a loud heart for someone trying so hard to be smaller. You're not quite like the others who came before you in these halls, are you? But... you've known that for a while."
Oh. So this was what it was like to be seen. Her eyes finally find Kit's in the crowds; everything she is not.
--"It's never scared you, hmm? Oh what courage for such a little one. Yes... you like the idea of valor. Glory. Something bright and certain. Gryffindor would take you there. Such boldness! There's fire enough in you for that. But..."
Uh. Was it possible to not get sorted at all?
--"Why do you want to be brave, Madeline?"
She thinks. Of Flossie and Kit. Her family. Errnie, her owl... the trees climbed and the adventures undertook. The ability to make others smile and laugh and join them together. To stand up for others. The family glue as she'd heard an aunt once describe her. How she wants to follow in her healer parent's path... but not for the progression, but to make a difference. --"To help others and make the world a better place."
--"Yes... yes that's right. You would stay, wouldn't you? Long after the others are gone just so no-one was left alone. Such a curious thing, to put others before yourself even when it might cost you. Yes, you do not chase bravery. You use it. Not to be seen or celebrated... no... but to make sure nobody is overlooked. Better be... "
--"HUFFLEPUFF !"
--The weight of the hat lifted from her head with cheers rising from the table dressed in yellow. So this was how it felt to be revealed as different from the pack.
She had thought this would be the moment everyone would see her for what she was and somehow, it still was. Just not in the way she feared.
She was different, yes. But as the blonde girl began to make her way toward the Hufflepuff table, a smile started to quirk at her lips.
She wasn’t the wrong kind of Montford.
Just a different one, about to make their way in the world.

To say Elara was overwhelmed.. would've been.. quite an understatement.
As she entered the Great Hall, she let out a breath she didn't realize that she'd been holding for a while. The ceiling above her wasn’t really a ceiling,, but a big night sky scattered with stars, with loads of candles floating in the air, glowing softly. It felt too good to be real, and she felt like she had been instantly teleported into one of the books she's read when she was back at home.
For a brief moment, though, she just.. stood there, taking it all in.
She certainly wasn't used to this; this was way out of her comfort zone.
Then, a wave of anxiety washed over her.
What if she'd embarrass herself?
What if she was sorted somewhere she didn’t belong?
What if she disappointed her family?
Or...
What if she didn’t fit in anywhere at all..?
Amidst all those thoughts, she slowly clutched her fingers together on her lap as she desperately tried to calm herself down.
Soon, students began lining up, and Elara meekly took her place among them. One by one, the names were called, each followed by cheers from the different tables in the hall. Some students walked confidently while a few others stumbled nervously. Elara was certain that she’d stumble once she was called.
Elara stayed still, observing.
Noticing,
Listening...
"Blackthorne-Vale, Elara."
Her name made her stand straight immediately.
You’ve got this- Let’s just get this over with.
There was a soft shift in the room, some random whispers, and a few slightly judgmental and curious glances.
Her last name carried weight, and she certainly felt it.
But she stepped forward anyway.
Her movements were calm, and controlled, even if her heart clearly wasn't.
When she reached the three-legged stool, she sat down slowly, smoothing her uniform absentmindedly. Just as the headmaster placed the Sorting Hat on her head, her heartbeat quickened.
A voice spoke,
..almost immediately.
"Ah.. a careful one."
Elara blinked slightly, her nails digging into her palms, slightly confused.
“Kind. Observant. You notice more than most, huh?”
Although she didn't respond, the answer was quite obvious.
Yes.
Safe to say she did.
"There's gentleness in you... that’s more than enough for.. Hufflepuff."
Elara blinked.
She was sure of not being put in Gryffindor or Slytherin, so it had to be one of the other two. But still, as for someone who didn't know much about the houses, that didn’t feel… wrong.
But..
It didn't feel fully right either.
For a moment, there was silence.
Then, sort of softer than it was before..
"Curious. Thoughtful. Always thinking… Ah, yes. I see it~”
The voice grew more decisive, and rather... confident.
"A mind that seeks, that questions... that watches."
Then, a little pause.
And then--
"RAVENCLAW!"
The hat was lifted from her head.
Elara blinked as the Great Hall came back into view, the sound of applause rising from one of the tables in the room. It wasn't as overwhe, lming as she thought- in fact, it was pretty welcoming.
She stood, smoothing her sleeves again, purely out of habit, followed by a soft sigh of relief, as she walked toward the Ravenclaw table, with her heart drumming wildly against her chest as if she'd run a marathon.
Oh boy, was she glad that she got through, without embarrassing herself.
A few students smiled and waved at her as she sat down, some of them giving her a small “welcome.”
As shy as ever, Elara nodded softly with a shy smile in return, eager to know what awaits her at Hogwarts.

Paul stood in a row of first years. T was way far away in the alphabet, if you asked him for his opinion. He didn't have high hopes, so he wouldn't imagine T replaced A or B. But it deserved a better position than after S. S was vile... words like snake or slay started with it. Well, reflecting on the letters around T, U wasn't ideal either, although, his future dream job (youtuber) was pronounced with a U at the beginning, which made it slightly less irritating.
There he was, thinking about what the letters of the alphabet made him feel like. Sadness. He was bored, he decided, for there wasn't anything he could do, now that he had thoroughly inspected the marvellous ceiling. Or was there? Well, there were ghosts... a lot of them. There was a headless guy who Paul wanted to talk to, what else about than how he nearly lost his head. Because there was never a wrong time for that sort of talk.
But he wasn't the only ghost there was. The Great Hall was full of them. There was a lady who looked like a princess, there were several men and a band of knights on horses even! Exactly the cross-examination material.
The absence of ghosts in his surroundings gave way to the fact that his eyes soon focused on the tables. 'Cause that was the main point, right? On the train, he was told that the students were divided into four houses. One was for the smart, another was for the kind, another was for the ambitious and the last one was for the brave. Paul had no idea where he'd end up, but, as far as the colours were considered, he leaned towards the blue. Blue always calmed him down. His bedroom at home was decorated with blue posters, some of the furniture was partly blue too. Blue was good.
"Turner, Paul." Said the Sorting Hat, and Paul headed towards it.
"That was quick." Hummed the boy quietly, surprised, sitting down onto the stool.
One conversation later, he was sorted into Gryffindor. The first thing that occurred to him was, that he forgot which colour was Gryffindor. He didn't know where to go thus. But the red table started clapping, so Paul jumped up and ran to sit there, opposite Piper who was sorted not long before him.
"Uhm... hi." Did he wave at the girl with different colour of eyes. "That was quite a talk you and the guy must have had." Uttered the boy observantly, jerking his head towards the stool and the Hat. "So weird, right? That he can hear our thoughts. All the secrets, all the things one feels bad about, he gets to know. So intrusive."

Sorting Ceremony
After the amazing train ride from Kings Cross back into my beloved Scotland, and into the famed grounds and Castle of Hogwarts, my excitement does not seem to know a limit. After the first years crossed over the lake with its amazing view, they gathered outside the Grand Hall, waiting to enter and for the year beginning Sorting Ceremony, Many of the other first years seemed nervous about what house they would be sorted into, and some seemed almost scared - but this seemed to be due to some misunderstanding about what the ceremony was; one student seemed to have the understanding that there would be some sort of physical test each student had to perform in front of the whole school - I think their siblings may have been teasing them just to make them nervous. I was not nervous, but excited. I knew exactly where I would be sorted - Ravenclaw - just like both of my parents. With my love for books and learning, how could I not be?
We entered into the hall, and the sight I found was just astonishing. Such a large room I had never seen. The ceiling was enchanted, and the candles hovering above to give light to the room. It was all I could do to keep my jaw from dropping as I looked around astonished at the grandeur of everything. I knew this was an amazing place, but this beat all of my expectations. As I looked around, enthralled with the new sight and the greatness of the room, I heard the headmaster begin to speak.
The song was a bit mesmerizing. To watch and listen to a hat that had been enchanted over a thousand years prior continue to do its thing. Oh, the things that this hat has seen and heard. What kind of things can be learned from such an artifact? I started to wonder if I would be able to study the hat in the future. As I sat there thinking I heard the Headmaster begin calling out names, beginning in alphabetical order.
Finally, after a few minutes of hearing other First Year student's names being called and having the Sorting Hat shout out their houses, I heard my name called clearly
Excited, I jumped down from the seat, and raced over to the table full of other Ravenclaw students, ready to begin my new adventure at Hogwarts!

Then, from seemingly nowhere another raspy voice quipped,Welcome first year students. I am Solomon Lear, Headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. As it is our tradition here we are going to engage in our first ceremony known as the sorting ceremony. The sorting hat has been a part of our school's tradition since the time of Godric Gryffindor, one of this institution's founding wizards. This hat is very much sentient.
Where had this voice come from? I started looking around and I did not know. So I kept watching. I knew, if I kept paying attention then I would find out exactly what I needed to know. The Headmaster continued,Sentient, I am intelligent
As he said that he looked over at the large, frayed hat sitting on the stool, and I realized. The hat was the one that had spoken. I knew that the hat sorted the student's, but I hadn't realized that it was intelligent so as to speak more than just to sort the students... oooh the excitement just keeps growing. This is going to be such a good year. the Headmaster was speaking while I was looking at the Sorting Hat,Ah yes, the intelligent
Then the Headmaster pulled out a scroll from which to call the new First Year students. But before he started calling out names, the hat began to sing a song,Sorting Hat will be placed upon your head. It won't hurt one bit. The Sorting Hat will look into your heart and mind and determine the best place for you: Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw, and Hufflepuff. As most of you must know, each of those houses possesses their own characteristic, their own values and their own Head of House. The house that will be chosen for you shall represent qualities that are truly present within each of you. Your future house shall be like a second family. You will also be able to gather points and once we reach the end of the year, the house with the most house points shall win the House Championship Cup. What you need to know is the Sorting Hat is never wrong, once you are sorted your House will not change for the duration of your time in Hogwarts.
A thousand years or more ago
When I was newly sewn,
There lived four wizards of
Whose names are still well known:
Bold Gryffindor, from wild moor,
Fair Ravenclaw, from glen,
Sweet Hufflepuff, from valley broad,
Shrewd Slytherin, from fen.
For were their such friends anywhere
As Slytherin and Gryffindor.
Unless it was the second pair
Of Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw.
United by a common goal,
They had the selfsame yearning
To make the world's best magic school
And pass along their learning.
Now each of these four founders
Formed their own house, for each
Did value different virtues
In the ones, they had to teach.
While still alive they did divide
Their favorites from the throng,
Yet how to pick the worthy ones
When were they dead and gone?
Twas Gryffindor who found the way,
He whipped me off his head
The founders put some brains in me
So I could choose instead!
Now slip me snug about your ears,
I've never yet been wrong,
I'll have a look inside your mind
And tell where you belong!
You might belong in Gryffindor,
Where dwell the brave at heart,
Their daring, nerve, and chivalry
Set Gryffindors apart;
You might belong in Hufflepuff,
Where they are just and loyal,
Those patient Hufflepuffs are true
And unafraid of toil;
Or yet in wise old Ravenclaw,
If you've got a ready mind,
Where those of wit and learning,
Will always find their kind;
Or perhaps in Slytherin
You'll make your real friends,
Those cunning folks use any means
To achieve their ends.

♡♡♡♡♡♡Riley gasped as she entered the Great Hall. It was breathtaking. Two giant creaky doors opened revealing a grand meeting hall. Tables filled with students and staff, a low murmur emitting from them. It was beauty beyond words. The ceiling seemed to never end, as it was enchanted to appear open to the sky. There were candles floating just below it, some of the only light in the dim room. The other sources of light including detailed candles hanging from the walls and open fireplaces decorating the sides of the room. At the end of the hall was the staff table, full of interesting characters Riley would soon meet. At the center of the table was a large chair, and atop it was the Headmaster, Solomon Lear. Directly on front of him was a stubby stool. And atop that, was a grubby, tattered hat. The first year students gathered in a glob in front of the hat. The soft murmur subsided as the Headmaster began his speech. "Welcome first year students. This hat is very much sentient." To Riley’s, surprise the hat began speaking. “ Sentient, I am intelligent” Spoke the hat. Riley heard a few gasps emit from the crowd of first years. The headmaster let out a bit of a cough, as if to clear the sound so he could speak again. "Ah yes, the intelligent" The headmaster flicked his eyes to the hat before continuing. We seem to have come to the good part, hearing about the houses of Hogwarts… "Sorting Hat will be placed upon your head. It won't hurt one bit. The Sorting Hat will look into your heart and mind and determine the best place for you: Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw, and Hufflepuff. As most of you must know, each of those houses possesses their own characteristic, their own values and their own Head of House." Riley became anxious, wondering what the sorting hat would think of her mind. Will it hear my secrets? My fears? My personal thoughts!? Merlin’s beard, I’ve got to stop overthinking everything. Riley thought to herself. The Headmaster gestured towards the teachers Riley assumed were the heads of house. The house that will be chosen for you shall represent qualities that are truly present within each of you. Your future house shall be like a second family. You will also be able to gather points and once we reach the end of the year, the house with the most house points shall win the House Championship Cup. What you need to know is the Sorting Hat is never wrong, once you are sorted your House will not change for the duration of your time in Hogwarts." He then reached into his robes and pulled out a large piece of parchment.almost at once, the sorting hat began to belt out a loud tune.

Once the hat was finished, an applause erupted from the crowd. Riley began clapping too. I mean, it was impressive. Then the sorting began. The Deputy Headmaster started to rattle off names, and the sorting hat began shouting the houses of students. Riley stood anxiously, yet excitedly. Then she finally heard her name called. ”BLUESCAR, RILEY” She froze for a moment, before walking up to the stubby stool. It wobbled a bit as she sat down. Then, she felt someone place the tattered hat on her head. At once, it began to speak. ”Hmm… Very interesting… What a strange mind for a young lady. Like a flowing river.” Riley smiled nervously. ”Very wise… but, you have a small section… yes, yes, very interesting. You’re ambitious, I’ll give you that.” Riley wondered. Wise? Ravenclaw obviously. But ambitious? Perhaps she would follow in the path of her family. ”Yes, you want to prove yourself… to everyone here… yes, you do are a hard worker. Ooh, yes and an overachiever.” The sorting hat went silent for a moment, before yelling. “Better be, RAVENCLAW!” A table full of students with blue detailed robes began to cheer and clap. Riley was usher to that table as her robe began to change, revealing a blue crest, the Ravenclaw signal. Riley beamed. She was lucky that she got sorted into the house with her favorite color, that was for sure.

Sorting Ceremony

THOUGHTS:Thoughts SPEECH: Speech
EVENING
Everyone arrived at Hogwarts.
The professors and the headmasters decided to give us a tour of Hogwarts. I wanted to stay away from the crowd and stay under the radar. So I just kept quiet the tour continued. My thoughts was tinkering in my head while I was walking with everyone as the professors and the headmasters was answering questions that the students was asking about the different painting that was displayed around the stairs. As the paints were moving and talking amongst each other and I looked at them. They noticed and smiled at me. I smiled back and waved.
Okay that's cool
I heard a conversation amongst a student and a professor.
They were talking about the Sorting Ceremony.
So wait you mean to tell me that I have to go up in front of everyone just so that the Sorting Hat to sort me into my given house.
THAT'S BLOODY TROUBLESOME.
VERY TROUBLESOME.
LIKE WHY?
I sighed at the thought while it made my head explode with thoughts. My heart started to increase its beating. After the professors and the teachers finished the tour, they instructed us to go to the Great Hall for the Sorting Ceremony.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I sat down and waited for the professors to say my name.
"BEE WINTERS."
I felt my whole body freeze in that one moment. The way I was called up the center of the Great Hall. Everyone was looking at me like I grow two heads.
I.
WAS.
BLOODY.
SCARED.
I sat there for a moment and then I finally got up and walked.
Slowly.
Very slowly at that.
My body was so scared while I was walked up to the Great Hall as the professors and the headmasters was waiting for me patiently while one of the headmasters was holding the Sorting Hat as they had a chair prop in the center.
I sat.
As the weight of my head changed suddenly because one of the headmasters placed the sorting hat upon my head.
I closed my eyes while trying to contain the feelings from exploding from my body and make sense.
Then suddenly.
"RAVENCLAW."
I heard the hat roar out those words. I opened my eyes and I saw other students that was also placed into Ravenclaw clapped for me.
