The Early Spring Tea Party pv members

Two weeks before the ball Bree would have never expected herself to be going to a tea party. Her first real tea party to be honest. When she was younger, she would always play pretend tea parties and beg her parents to throw one. Which never happened and she ended up losing hope that maybe one day she would somehow attend a tea party. Although she thought shed be much much happier when attending one.

When she heard about it, something deep down inside of her stirred. Without thinking, she wrote everything she heard about it down. For once since this new year started she felt...excited for something. Marking the date, she mentally prepared herself. Picking out a dress that suited her taste, she laid everything out. Her excitement lasted until the actual day came. Getting up earlier than normal in the morning, her thoughts were filled with doubt. Poisoning her run aside from the regular, she regretfully cut it short. Making her way back to her dorm, she laid for hours questioning if she should go or not. What convinced her to go was in fact her dress. The guilt that she would feel having Hazel go through all the trouble of making it and then not wearing it drove her to get up and put it on. Although Hazel did make the dress a few months back, she would still feel the guilt of not wearing it today.

The dress was black. The top part had one strap going across her right shoulder. The bottom flowed out naturally and stopped at the ground, only a few inches above it. It had little designs etched across the whole thing. After putting the dress on, she slipped on her black heels. Once finished she combed her hair and pinned the front with a hairband and flowers. May be a bit fancy but hey, shes always dressed like this, in formal and fancy clothes. A thing she picked up from her mother.

Heading over to where it is being held, she freezes. For a moment she watched the people chatting and laughing. Among the people she spots few she knows. One of them being Poppy, who walked in on her in the ballroom. After a moment or two, she continues on her way. Walking pass boards that set up, she would've missed the Hufflepuff standing there if it weren't for her curiosity. Turning, she spots Zephyr writing something on it.

"Hey!" She says softly, tapping his shoulder. Smiling shyly at him, she prayed that she didn't frighten him, causing him to mess up his writing.

Early Spring Tea Party

"A tea party today?" Laasya said to herself as soon as she overheard some kids talking about it. It was scheduled for the afternoon and it was hosted by a third-year Ravenclaw named Cassie Jiang exactly two weeks before the spring ball. It was a beautiful spring day, the flowers were in great bloom and the weather was really nice. And who wouldn't want to go to a nice tea party when the weather was great rather than stay inside doing absolutely nothing? So Laasya after changing into a green shirt and white skirt, which would be more appropriate for a tea party and making sure Pearl was fast asleep and not causing mischief, even though it was unlikely she would as she really, no absolutely loved to sleep, she left her dorm, feeling excited to what she would see at the location of the tea party. For a second she had forgotten where it was held but then she managed to remember from the conversation that she heard earlier that it was located somewhere in the grounds. She walked over there while humming to a tune she could not name. As soon as she reached, she noticed the scene in front of her. On the ground was a large red and white picnic blanket. There was a tall board which had the words 'Early Spring Tea Party' on it. There was also a board which was made for leaving notes. "How thoughtful!" Laasya thought to herself. "Cassie and the prep team must have worked hard on this in order to give us a pleasant experience for the occasion of spring!" On the left side of the picnic blanket was a long table filled with various delicacies. Feeling hungry, she walked over there first, promising that she would explore the rest of the tea party after she had gotten some treats. In Chinese teapots which had a different yet elagant design were so many types of tea; Earl Grey, Chamomile, Hibiscus, Matcha, Jasmine, Rose Chrysanthemum, Mint, Green and Milk. There were also plenty of multi-tiered dessert stands, the first one containing many types of macrons, the second containing various cakes, the third one having tiny sandwiches as well as an area having cookies and scones accompanied by seven types of jam. There were a few other people at the party, whether it was at the food table, the Photo Booth or at the note board. Laasya decided to pour herself a bit of hibiscus tea. She wasn't a tea expert but she tried hibiscus tea once and she loved it a lot. She decided to go talk to some people afterwards as it felt odd to be the only person not talking with anybody.

"Hey, Laasya!" Rosie said, seeing the girl walk over to the table. She knew her from over the summer, when they'd met in line getting some ice cream. She'd also seen her around the school throughout the year.

"How are you? I can't believe how amazing this is, it's beautiful and so fun!" she said, taking a moment to take everything in again.

As she was looking around, she saw a very familiar face over by the Leave-a-Note Board. It was Windy!!! Well, Zephyr, but she hadn't called him that in a while.

"Give me a sec..." she said to Laasya after about a minute or two, before walking over to where Zephyr was, writing a note.

"WINDY!!!" she said, giving him only a bit of a warning before hugging him tight.

"Oh, sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt!" she said, letting go and seeing a girl saying 'hey' to him and tapping on his shoulder. If there was...something...going on there, she didn't want to be the one to interrupt! She walked over to the board she was going to write on, giving the two of them a chance to chat if they wanted.

She thought of what message she wanted to put, taking a minute or two before dipping a quill into some ink and starting to write. In some calligraphy-which took her a while-she began to write 'If the flowers make it through the winter to bloom, then, I promise, so can you!' on the board, just trying to leave an encouraging message.

More guests seemed to be slowly arriving, some Harumi was already familiar with on varying levels. A few of them were already at the long table picking teas and desserts, others seemed to be at the notes board. They all seemed to be chatting to one another. Harumi would have greated them but she was enjoying her time at the polaroid photo corner, that she didn't bother observing or overthinking at the moment. Besides, there'll be plenty of time to talk to everyone and possibly, hopefully, make new friends.

----Back at the moment, the Gryffindor seemed to not have been paying attention so Harumi accidentally caught her off guard, usually Harumi would have felt embarrassed or apologetic about that, but today for some reason she felt calm, perhaps it's all the teas' calming aromas, or the approaching spring, either way, she was planning to enjoy her day no matter what.

---- Harumi listened to her talk about the photos she took. "oh, yeah there's alot of flowers indeed, they look really pretty" She agreed. "I admire your talent, you seem really enthusiastic about photography, I really respect that!" She praised to make the girl feel more confident indirectly after she apologised for no real reason in Harumi's opinion.

----Seeing the girl get excited after Harumi asked for a photo, she unconsciously smiled. Harumi looked at the props offered, she decided she wanted the photo to be lighthearted and even slightly funny, so that when she looks back at it in the far future, she will smile. After looking at the different props contemplating which she likes the most, she picked a flower hat and wore it, as well as a pink teacup that she held carefully. She can't have herself break such a delicate and beautiful teacup! "How do I look? Is there anything you suggest?" She giggled, genuinely excited for seeing the photo after it's taken.

----She went ahead and stood infront of the white background then looked at Persephone."you're the expert, how should I pose? I would like the photo to be funny and lighthearted!" She wondered excitedly.

Ava was a bit late to the preparation, but she hurriedly made her way there. The seer offered to join in to prepare for it, too. The Tea Party had two of her favourite things mixed, a picnic and tea.

She joined the others on the ground, noticing a large picnic blanket. She looked around to see boards and photo booths. She was also greeted with a blue handmade gift bag upon entering. Ava first made her way to the long table where there were many types of tea and desserts. It was hard for Ava to choose only one. If she could, she would have taken all of them. She took a cup of Chamomile tea with a plate of cookies. She also saw a few students talking around the treat table.

The Ravenclaw noticed a Gryffindor getting Hibiscus Tea. The girl was standing alone, while the others were in a conversation. Ava didn't want to intrude on anyone's conversation, so she made her way to the Gryffindor girl.

"Hey!" Ava greeted her, "Are you enjoying the party?" The Ravenclaw also helped in preparing for the party and wanted to know if the others were actually enjoying themselves or not.

Within a few minutes, students from all houses are coming to join the party. Cassie is delighted to see how successful this activity seems to be. She greets everyone who comes to the party with a warm smile. Time to enjoy myself in the party too! She thinks as she walks to the leave-a-note board. A few students are already there, including some familiar faces. 'Hi Zephyr, hi Rosalyn, and hi umm...' she is not quite familiar with the girls who seems to come from Slytherin and Gryffindor, though she manages to hear Rosalyn's greetings to Zephyr, therefore knowing her name.

'Welcome to the party.' she says with a warm smile, 'it's such a nice day isn't it!' She picks up two sticky notes, writes 'welcome to the party' and sticks them to the top of both notice boards. 'You are writing a note?' Cassie asks Zephyr, curious about what he is going to write. She quickly writes another note. 'To Zephy: Thanks for helping me with club issues! --CJ' and sticks it on the boys' board. There is no need to keep it anonymous, since the recipient of the notice is right here.

She smiles to the girls too, they are quite pretty and seem friendly. 'Hi, I am Cassie Jiang. Fancy seeing you at the party!' she says.

The blooming flowers filled the air with a sweet scent, as the breeze gently swayed her hair. The afternoon sun shone on all the students assembled on the grounds. Upon entrance, Marcella was greeted by the beautiful sight of a large picnic blanket on the ground. Printed with stripes and little flowers, the light red blanket gives you a sense of spring and warmth. She may not be much of a Spring girl, but the season held a very special place in her heart. In front of her was a tall board with the words 'Early Spring Tea Party' in a lovely font, which seemed to be the Polaroid Photo Corner. Props that could be used for the photos were placed. Marcella approached the Polaroid Photo Corner first. Though she had helped arrange the occasion, Marcella couldn't help but be in awe.

As Marcella approached, she noticed Harumi, her study partner, whom she had met in the library many, many months ago. And beside her was a girl whom she had seen a few times in the hallways and in other events. It seemed they were in the middle of a photoshoot. Harumi looked very pretty indeed, and the other girl, whom Marcella had never been properly introduced, seemed to be very interested in photography. "Hello," she said as she approached the two. "You've taken some very pretty pictures." She said as she got a peek at the girl's photos.

At the Polaroid Photo Corner, offering photos

Harumi listened to Poppy talking about how she learned photo taking, her hair taking a beautiful pinkish hue, Harumi was mesmerised at that, she didn't know the girl was able to do that, was she a metamorphmagus? Anyway the girl didn't continue talking about learning photo taking and seemed lost in thought for a moment instead, Harumi didn't want to intrude so she didn't ask questions, although she was tempted to say how beautiful the girl's hair became, but decided against it.

----The Gryffindor girl was about to tell her how to pose for the photo when she was interrupted by a hello from someone. Harumi turned to see who was talking only to see it's Marcella, her studying partner, both of them shared a love for potions so naturally they became friends.

----"Oh, hello, Mars!" Harumi returned the greeting happily. After the Ravenclaw complimented Poppy, the latter's hair became more pinkish, Harumi unconsciously smiled, because Poppy doesn't seem to notice, the urge to point it out was eating on her but she kept stopping herself, until she couldn't anymore and was about to tell her it looked beautiful.

----But before Harumi could say anything about the girl's hair after losing against her own self, Poppy suggested she and Marcella take photos together, Harumi's eyes immediately lit up. "Yeah go ahead and join the photo, Mars! You'll look beautiful!" Harumi said, totally open to a photo with more than one person. In fact, if she's given the chance, she might bring everyone for one big group photo, she didn't know if they all will fit into it, but it was worth a a try in her opinion. However she wasn't extroverted enough to go ahead and collect everyone her for photos, so it was gonna remain a thought in her brain's sea of countless unvoiced thoughts and opinions.

----Poppy seemed to be second guessing herself about the suggestion but Harumi smiled at her that it's alright, Harumi adores the idea very much after all.

Laasya was standing around the table and drinking her tea, enjoying the weather which was very nice and sunny, perfect for an outdoor event when she heard a familiar voice behind her. "Hey, Laasya!" She turned around and saw Rosalyn standing there. She had met her during the summer at Diagon Alley while they were waiting very long for some ice cream. Honestly, she did not know how they waited for so long, in a line with 15 people just to eat ice cream. They had struck up a really good conversation which made waiting easier. She had also seen her around the castle plenty of times. "Rosie! How are you!" Laasya exclaimed. "I know right! It's brilliant here! Everyone worked so hard, might visit the Photo Booth later." She turned around and noticed that she had run off to the leave a note board, and was talking to Zephyr and another girl. Laasya shrugged as she sipped her tea. Change of plan, I'll go to the leave a note board first after finishing my tea. She thought to herself. Laasya then noticed another girl at the table talking to her. The girl was in Ravenclaw and asked if she was enjoying the party. "Yes I am, thank you very much! What's your name? And are you on the prep team? If so it's very pretty here. I'm Laasya, Laasya Manjunath." She replied. She finished sipping her tea and then ran off to the leave a note board. "I'll be back! See you later!" She called out to the girl as she went. She was still hungry of course, she hadn't eaten much earlier in her excitement for the tea party and there was plenty of food to eat. But she could come later, she really wanted to go over there. She approached it. There were lots of notes, quills and ink bottles to use. It was a very nice idea. She noticed Zephyr, Rosalyn and two other girls over there. She waved over to them, then grabbed a bottle of ink, a note and a quill and began to write. She wrote carefully the message- If you believe in yourself anything is possible. It wasn't meant for anyone in general, it was just a nice message to bring some motivation. She stuck it on the board carefully and neatly. So far, she was having an excellent time at the tea party.
