The milky white pages of his copy of The Standard Book of Spells contrasted with the old oak of the table that he sat at. By now the black inked words had turned into muddle blotches from staring and looking at the book. Today's class subject had been mainly focused on the Levitation Charm, Wingardium Leviosa. The spell had looked easy enough when the teacher had demonstrated the charm.

Percival couldn't believe his eyes as she lifted the feather easily. Though his dreams to perform the spell perfectly were dashed when he realized he couldn't even lift the feather an inch. Now Percival was in the Library trying to figure out the spell before his next class. His Uncle always expressed his love for Charms, and Percival wanted to prove that he could cast Charms just as easily as his Uncle. The young Slytherin's face burned as he brought his notes closer to him.
The three rules of Charms magic is:
-Concentration
-Wand
- Incantation

With a small sigh Percival put his notes down, and turned to a crumpled piece of paper. Holding out his wand, Percival prepared to say the spell. "Wingardium LevioSA." he said moving his wand in an 'S' shape before pointing it at the object.

Nothing happened and Percival grumbled to himself. Grabbing his textbook, Percival read over the material trying to decipher the reasoning behind his failure.

Opeila had fallen asleep in the library. About three hours ago. The little insomniac had been doing some homework, when her head sank down on the table and her quill fell to the floor. She had needed those hours. Opeila needed sleep, anyone could tell by a look at her face. So he had slept with her head resting on her half finished essay.

When she woke up, she was confused. Where were she? What happened? Has she- oh crap, she wasn't done with her essay. Sighing she put the paper into her bag. She wanted to go back to her dorm and sleep some more. There was barely a time where she felt the urge to sleep that strongly.

Opeila got up from her chair and picked up her bag, yawning. She was making her way to the exit of the library when she heard a rather frustrated sounding voice. Pronouncing a spell very wrong.

Opeila changed her mind and went back, looked for the source of the voice. Soon she found the Slytherin boy that seemingly tried to cast the Levitation charm. "Hey um... You want some help?", she said and looked at the boy. "Watch your pronounciation. Win-GAR-dium Le-vi-O-sa. Your wand movenent looks alright."
She put her bag down again and sat on a table close by.

Percival studied the crumpled up piece of paper. He wondered if he just stared at it hard enough he could make the paper float. Though that was impossible even in the realm of magic. He sighed quietly putting his wand down in front of him. The Slytherin brought his hand to his hair brushing a couple of strands out of his face. Well this isn't ideal. he thought with a small frown.

The boy was pulled out of his thoughts when a girl came up to him. He quickly turned to look at her, and the first thing he noticed was how tired the girl looked. Percival awkwardly smiled as the girl offered her help. "Um yeah I think I do need help." he said with a small chuckle. Once the girl finished speaking, Percival could not help but feel a little stupid. How could I get the pronunciation so wrong? he thought a little flabbergasted at himself.

Percival decided to put the girl's advice to use. Picking up his wand up, he pointed at the piece of paper. "WiGARdium LeviOsa" He said turning his wand in the correct movement. Percival could not help a small gasp escaping as the paper levitated into the air a few feet before. Even though the paper fell to the table once again, Percival's spirits remained raised.

The Slytherin turned to look at the girl who had sat down. "Thank for the help. I would have been stuck in here forever if you hadn't helped." he said placing his wand back onto the table. "My name's Percival." he introduced himself with a grin.

The twelve year old smiled when the unknown boy tried it again and- surprise- the feather in front of him finally did what he wanted it to do.
"There we go.", Opeila said, "Maybe you should look at those paragraphs a little more closely in the future." She pointed at a paragraph that explained the etymology and the pronounciation of the levitation charm.

"Charms are barely more than learning the incantation and wand movement of a spell. And of course concentration.
If one of those is missing, they are not exactly forgiving. But I am sure you would have figured this one out without me as well."

The boy thanked her and introduced himself as Percival. The twelve year old yawned, covering her mouth with the back of her hand.
"Oh... I'm sorry, I didn't sleep a lot the last nights... Nice to meet you, Percival. I am Opeila."

Percival... She knew another Percival, the seemingly rather aggressive boy she had met in the abandoned toilets.
This one she couldn't really remember...

"I didn't know that there were two Percivals in our house.", she said, "The other one I have met already." More or less. She couldn't say that she liked the other boy a lot.

Percival rubbed the back of his neck to hide his embarrassment as the girl told him to pay more attention to the incantations in the future. "Yeah that probably would save me a lot of time." he said with a small chuckle.

"Charms is definitely not forgiving. I'm pretty certain the whole subject exists just to spite me." he chuckled. While the boy did make it sound like a joke, there was some truth to his statement.

"Don't worry about it. Did you stay up late for a class?" he asked thinking of his own all-nighters. The Slytherin paused for a second before nodding as the girl introduced herself. Opeila was a fairly interesting name, and he did not know anyone with a similar name. Though that did not seem to be the case with his own name. "It's nice to meet you too Opeila." he said giving the other student a grin.

Percival gave the other girl a small smile as she brought up the other Percival. "Yeah, I know. I heard about him, but I've never personally met him." he said with a small shrug. In truth, Percival knew nothing other than the fact that he shared a name with this kid.

The boy looked back towards Opeila. "So are you in the Library to do homework as well?" he asked. Percival hadn't seen the girl working on anything when he had come to the Library. Though it was possible he had just missed her in the sea of students. Now that Percival thought about it, the Library had definitely grew less busy. Him and Opeila made up only a couple of students left in the Library.

Opeila felt a little bad, the boy seemed embarassed about her helping him. Percival said that the whole subject only seemed to exist to spite him. He chuckled, but he seemed truly frustrated about the difficulties he had with the subject. The twelve year old shook her head. "No, no, no, don't even start like that. The subject is not the enemy. The enemy is in here." She tapped against the side of her head. "Once you have found it's weak point, you have won."

On second thoughts, it was probably easy to say those things when you had no problem with the subject. Possibly her problem with Transfiguration was similar, maybe the barrier was just in her head. Disliking a subject could not be cured by only a few words like this, could it?

Percival said he had never met his namesake. "Well..." She yawned again, covering her mouth with her hand. "... Haven't missed a lot there, to me he seemed like a jerk."

He asked her if she was in the library to do homework. Well, yes that had been her plan, right? And then sleep-deprivation paid off... She nodded at his question. "Yeah, I am. I guess I'll have to finish it tomorrow though... I fell asleep earlier.", she said.

Percival didn't really know why he thought joking about his failure would go over well with the other. He honestly had hoped that it would have relieved some of the tension he experienced with the subject. Though he could see it plainly on Opeila's face that she did not buy his joke.

A genuine smile crossed Percival's features as Opeila gave him a small pep talk. He knew that she was right, and that he should not beat himself up over a troubled subject. Though Percival decided that he would most likely never enjoy the subject. Charms was a subject that required a lot of patience and concentration. Percival was neither of those things, and he honestly did not believe he would ever be like that.

Percival let out a small laugh as Opeila called the other Percival a jerk. "Oh I'm guessing that you haven't had the best interactions with this other Percival." he said with a small snicker.

"I hope I'm not giving you the same impression as him." he said as he raised his eyebrow slightly.

Percival nodded as she confirmed his thoughts. "I honestly wish I could take a nap to. Though I need to finish my homework before tomorrow." he stated with a small sigh. "I'm almost done though which is good." he added quickly.

Opeila grinned, when Percival said that she didn't have the best interactions with his namesake. "...One could say so, I guess. He and someone else seemed ready to beat someone up for information and I uh... was ready to curse them if they tried. That's the only sort of interaction I've ever had with him. So it's only first impressions." She shrugged. The other Percival had annoyed her a lot less than that prefect girl on that day. She had behaved in a way that caused Opeila to make some sassy comments and then leave, which was absolutely unlike her. She normally knew how to behave around authorities, but the redhead had gone far over the top.

The Percival in front of her now said that he hoped that he didn't give her the same impression. Opeila shook her head. "Not at all, don't worry!", she said chuckling.

He said that he wished he could sleep as well but he had to finish his homework before tomorrow. Opeila nodded . "I won't distract you any longer then, I should get to bed." She looked at her watch. "It's half an hour until curfew so... Watch out, don't take too much time."
The brunette smiled at him before getting off the table and grabbing her bag. "Good night."
With that she would turn around and leave the library.
Leaving the library unless stopped.
