The more she listened to this young man, the more Eira felt as though she was catching the boy’s stupidity.
Just hearing the words coming out of the young Gryffindor’s mouth made her feel less intelligent.
She rolled her eyes yet again when she heard what he was saying. Pff… what a load of rubbish.
- So… as well as being a real chatterbox, being ill-mannered and on top of that annoying everyone, you’re arrogant. What on earth have I done to deserve this ? I think I’ll pass on doing you that ‘favour’ as you put it; I’m not your slave or your lackey, so you’ll have to ask someone else.
She retorted, giving him a sarcastic smile. Indeed, the young man’s words were particularly annoying to the Slytherin.
The girl was exasperated by the stream of nonsense pouring from her neighbour’s mouth. So now he couldn’t remember her first name because it was… too long ? But he really was strange. Unfortunately, she couldn’t say anything; she had the impression it didn’t bother him.
However, she said all the same:
- Ha, that’s going to be tricky. Your name is the first thing you have. You’re supposed to have memorised it since birth, so at what point did you decide you’d be called by a nickname ? And for your information, I’ll never be happy by your side, Maximillian.
She smiled gently, then listened to the lesson at the same time; now that the hour had passed, there were only a few minutes left, and she was already starting to pack away her things when she heard the young man talking about lunch.
- Are you hungry ? You’re not studying, you’re not listening to a word, and yet you’re still hungry ? What a strange person… Anyway, I’ve got plans for lunch, and they’ve got nothing to do with you. I wish the person who has to put up with you for the next hour the best of luck – you’ve got the power… to brainwash people.
As the teacher gave the go-ahead to leave, she jumped to her feet, and whilst gathering her things, she moved closer to the young man so that she was level with his ear.
She could already smell his scent and feel his hair brushing against her face, yet she was careful not to touch him and retorted:
- I hope one day you’ll manage to listen to a lesson without disturbing everyone around you. Right then, bye, Mr Freckles.
Then she made her way towards the door, greeting the teacher as she passed, before disappearing into the castle’s corridors.

That's the end of the RP for me ! It was brilliant; I can't wait for the next instalment and to see how their relationship develops – it looks promising !

Interacting with: @Eira BlaenorDialogue: #770B08Date: 22nd of September, 2025Date:————————— LunchWords: 320────────────────────────It suddenly struck him that the girl might actually mean what she was saying, and not just doing a bit. Did she really find him annoying and arrogant? He had just assumed they were quipping. His confidence wavered a bit. This was suddenly new territory.
«Hey, I never said any of that! I said a favor» He joked, though he struggled for the right tone. His parents always told him that as long as he was polite and kind, everyone would want to offer help.
When she repeated his name, he scrunched up his face. «No, that’s not right…» He said it as much to himself as he said it to her. In the midst of his thoughts he missed what she said about it being a pain to sit next to him. «Max… Mawelll… Maximillian… Maximize, Maximum…» He said about all the variations he could think of, and none of them sounded right. He shrugged as he gave up. «If you had a name as long as mine, you wouldn’t remember either!» He commented with a sigh.
He slowly began to pack up too, eager to get outfit the stuffy classroom. «Oh, I’m always hungry!» That was almost true at least. The rest of her commentary drew a chuckle from him. She couldn’t have meant what she said previously after all. Because now she was outright funny! «I wish them luck too» He shared, trying to hide a smile behind his hand.
He was then left behind after once again being called «Mr Freckles» It was a bit strange for a nickname perhaps, but he found he actually liked it. He barely managed to raise his hand in a wave before she was gone. Racing to pack up the rest of his things, he shot to his feet. He didn’t bother acknowledging the teacher on the way out as he had way more important matters to see to: Lunch.
