Flame Afterglow was not having a good day. First when she had woken up this morning, someone had stolen her copy of “Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief” which even though she had read every book and spin off series there was, several times over, she was reading it again.

Then, when Flame had gotten to Breakfast someone had spilt orange juice down the front of her WHITE t-shirt. Now, Flame was leaving charms class where she had gotten yet another E instead of an O. Flame knew that she couldn’t go to her next class cause something else would probably happen. So Flame told her friend that she had a headache and then checked in with the school nurse and got a class pass. Technically it was so she could go lay down but a pass was a pass.

Flame couldn’t go to her common room or the library because she would get in trouble, so she decided to go to the corridors to scout out a good spot. When she got to the corridors they were empty so Flame looked around for a moment. Then she remembered the abandoned toilets and decided to go there.

Pushed her way inside. To her suprise, there was someone already in there. There was a girl Flame recognized from around the Gryffindor common room standing over the sink. Flame noticed blood dripping from her face and instantly ran over.

The blood was coming from to long scars along her face that looked as if they had been reopened. “Oh my god, are you okay?!” Flame asked the girl. “My name is Flame. I am A half-blood and am trained in first aid. Or muggle first aid.” Flame could tell this girl was in extreme pain. “Is there anything I can do to help?” she asked the girl.

When my scars were exposed, I think it was even more painful than my transformations during the full moons. The pain was excruciating, and blood was gushing out. When the door opened, I knew immediately that the nightmare continued. A young girl entered, and I recognized her instantly by her scent; it was Flame Afterglow. She was a very kind and enthusiastic Gryffindor. She approached me, panicked, and offered her help, saying she had been trained in first aid. I didn't even have time to open my mouth before the door opened again. This time, I didn't recognize the scent or even the sound of footsteps. A young boy arrived, also offering his help. He said he had been trained to treat wounds, but that I had to tell him my true nature. I wanted to answer him, but one of my scars extended down to my mouth, and the mere movement of opening it caused me excruciating pain. I closed my eyes for a moment, then opened them again, determined to speak. I turned to them and declared, breathless and trying not to cry from the pain.

"I... I'm Ténébra Lowfa, and I've been a werewolf since I was two weeks old. I don't know if you'll be able to help me, but it's very kind of you to have offered!"

The cold November air had cracked my skin, causing my scars to reopen.

Flame heard the door open as another person walked inside. He was their age and Flame thought he was a Ravenclaw. He asked what happened and if they needed help and then explained that he knew medical stuff and asked a bunch of questions. The girl Who had her head over the sink tried to respond to them but the cut on her face opened wider.

The girl closed her eyes in pain and then looked up. She introduced herself as Ténébra Lowfa, and explained that she had been a werewolf since she was two. She then said that she didn’t know if they could help but it was kind of them to offer. After Flame heard her say that she became determined to help this girl in whatever way she could.

Flame turned to the boy. “My name is Flame Afterglow. We need to help her.” Flame kept her introduction simple so that they could help Ténébra faster. Flame then turned to Ténébra. “Do you have any supplies in you or absolutely anything that could help? You don’t have to speak or nod just point.” Flame told her, starting to empty Her pockets into the counters.

Flame had a lot in her pockets. Duct tape, some cottonballs, a bottle of hand sanitizer, 3 bandaids, some hair dye, rope and a bottle of pain meds. All of the stuff on the table she had used for a prank she had pulled earlier today, and had put the leftovers in her pockets. Everything except for the pain meds which she used for the scar in her hand. Flame turned back to Ténébra and the boy.

Questions raced through my mind, and before I could even answer them, another one would appear. I sighed deeply. Why couldn't I be alone whenever I wanted?! I hadn't asked for anything! I did this every full moon, it's just that this time it was much more intense, and I knew why! The October nights were still mild, so when the November chill set in, my skin started to crack, causing these wounds to heal poorly. Now I had to explain. I sank down to sit and concentrate. I answered them with a big smile.

"Calm down! It's not a disaster yet. I'll explain, but please stop asking so many questions. Normally, the bleeding isn't this severe. Today there's a cause, and it's going to last all winter. My skin is quite sensitive to the cold, and as a result, my wounds haven't healed properly. Medication and bandages won't help. The pain won't go away with medication, and bandages will be soaked with blood in just a few minutes. I think we need bandages and dittany powder. Do you think we can find that?"

I hoped they wouldn't get angry. It's true that with my often expressionless face, people could think I was far too serious or cold. This time I tried to smile and show that I wasn't mean.
