Olivia had hurried up the stairs to the Owlery. In her bag, a parchment, a quill, and an inkwell were bouncing. She had an urgent letter to her father, a real emergency. She needed him to send one of her oversized knitted sweaters that she had left at home because one of the ones she had brought to Hogwarts now had a huge tear in it after Olivia slipped outside and fell straight into a thorn bush.

She pushed the door open with her shoulder while fiddling with the buckle on her bag. Her fingers were stiff and frozen because she had once again neglected to bring gloves. Once inside the Owlery, she sat down and pulled out a parchment, a quill, an inkwell, and a book that she used as a mat.

She unscrewed the cap on the inkwell, dipped the quill in the ink, and began to write.

“Hi,” she began, feeling steady. “I need you to send me one of the knitted sweaters that are in the dresser, second drawer from the bottom. It doesn’t matter which one, as long as it’s not the brown one. One of the ones I have here at Hogwarts had a little accident.” She paused, thinking her fingers would turn to ice cubes if she didn’t finish writing quickly. “From Olivia,” she finished, quickly screwing the cap back on the ink bottle and putting it and the quill together with the book in her bag.

She swung the bag over her shoulder and stood up with the parchment in her hand. She walked over to one of the school’s owls, who immediately extended a leg. Olivia started to tie the letter but it wasn’t going very well because her fingers were so frozen. “Blasted Beauxbâtons,” she muttered to herself and finally got the letter tied.

Olivia straightened up, and then the owl took off. Oliva turned to leave when a thought struck her and she turned towards the owl that was already outlined as just a dot in the sky. "But I didn't say where-" she said to herself before shrugging, hoisting her bag higher on her shoulder and walking out of the Owlery.

It was a normal breakfast where an owl dropped a letter on his table. Odd, he didn't have any friends yet in this blasted school and his parents only owled on Sundays. The third year ran his hand through his hair. Who the hell would have sent him something? He glanced around him to see if anyone was watching just in case it was some sort of joke. Nobody. He shrugged and opened up the letter anyways. It would give him an excuse to not talk to anyone. not that he did either way. He scanned the letter. His eyebrows creasing in confusion. Sweater in the bottom drawer? He scanned the bottom of the letter. Olivia.

Whoever this person was, it certainly wasn't meant for him. But maybe he could have some fun with this. Glancing up at the owl, who was still waiting, he muttered, "One sec geez" Her grabbed a quill and scribbled down. "Hi Olivia" A smirk slowly forming on his face. "I can't seem to find the knitted sweater. Any other idea where it could be? Also what's the accident?" He paused wondering if he should sign it, then realised he could just smudge the ink, so he then wrote, "From Akmfjkgm" Looking back on the smudged ink it was illegible. who it was from could have been from anyone. Just below the 'signature', Axel wrote a small note, "So sorry, I sneezed"

Glancing back over the letter he tied it back up and gave to back to the owl. "To Olivia I guess. Whoever she is?" He told the delivery bird, and off it flew. Leaving Axel to his peace. Thank goodness.

Finally! It was a gray day when the owl landed with her letter. Although it didn't have a package with it. Olivia opened the letter and read slowly. Why shouldn't her sweaters be in the dresser and why was her father so curious about the accident? She shrugged her shoulders and immediately began scribbling down an answer.

"Well, I'm pretty sure the sweaters should be in the dresser, try the third drawer from the top if they weren't in the first. And the accident, if you must know, I slipped and tripped into a thorn bush."

That's when she noticed. The letter wasn't her father's handwriting. She quickly scribbled this down under her first lines:

“Okay, who are you? And how did you get my letter? Reply as soon as possible or I’ll send stink bombs. Olivia.”

She sealed the letter and sent it off with the owl. “Peck whoever’s hand it is until he or she answers properly,” I told the owl before it flew away. Olivia then hurriedly ate her toasted sandwich before hurrying off to her first lesson.

Olivia wasn’t usually that aggressive, but she figured that if this person, against all odds, might have kidnapped her father or somehow broken into their house, she needed to take it tough. She hoped whoever it was would respond as soon as possible.

The next day Axel waited for the owl to come back with a small smirk. Would ya look at that she wrote back He thought as he saw the same owl come flying towards him. Unfortunately for the owl as he tried to peck his hand, Axel gave the poor owl a death glare and it stopped. Taking his time, he opened the letter. It was much shorter than last time. The first few lines the silly girl had fallen for it but it was clear that she realised half-way through writing it. The pathetic threat of stink bombs made the french boy chuckle to himself. Stink bombs? Realll mature, how old was this Olivia girl anyways?

He grabbed a paper and stuck some parchment over the top, giving a clue that he was french with the back of the letter having a french newspaper stuck-on to it. He then crumpled up the letter giving it the look that he'd forgotten all about it. He then grabbed a pen and wrote scruffily. Why should I rush? You made the mistake girl .He then leaned over and grabbed some toast and buttered it, some butter landed on the paper but Axel didn't really care so he wiped it off with a finger, leaving a small grease mark on the parchment.
