If there was one thing Lennox was sure of, it was the fact that she never thought she would actually join, or much less plan, a study group. To her, studying had always been something you did on your own, away from any possible distractions. If you needed help, you simply went to a professor or consulted the countless resources in the library. To her, all a study group meant was that you could get distracted, or given the wrong information, or have someone completely try to pass your work off as their own.
That being said, here she was, walking into the library, on her way to her first study group. Lennox had met the pair she was about to see in class, having sat near them in the beginning of the year. They had seemed nice enough, and sometimes, the trio chatted before class, but it had all been simply niceties, before-class discussions. She hadn't planned on meeting them outside of class until she had begun to worry about her Astronomy grade and realized she was too nervous of a person to go see her professor for help, and books weren't exactly cutting it. She had to reach out for help.
The group seemed like they all had, at the very least, room to improve, if they weren't worried about their own grades. But I could be reading them wrong, they could have just agreed out of pity, Lennox thought, cursing the stupid voice inside her head that always seemed to try and bring her down. She made a mental note to see if there was a potion or charm to get rid of self-doubt, or if that was something she'd have to do all on her own.
The young Ravenclaw finally turned into the library, noticing that it seemed to be full of other people studying as well, whether it be in groups, pairs, or simply students who chose to sit alone and work at their own pace. She found it quite difficult to find a table for the group, as the Library seemed to hold more people than she initially thought. After perusing the shelves, and tables scattered in small formations about the room, a table finally appeared to be uninhabited. She quickly walked over to it, taking ownership of it before anyone else could. If having to rely on others' help was scary to her, she knew that having to do so sitting on the floor would truly send her over the edge.
The brunette sat down, pulling her materials out to see if she could pinpoint the areas of the assignment she truly was having issues with before Bex and Percival got there. However, her mind was spinning, as she worried that though they may have been friendly in class, that the two may not actually enjoy her outside of class. She looked down at her outfit, as they had agreed to meet after classes had ended and before they needed to be ready for Astronomy; so they could study comfortably, without their uniforms weighing them down. Lennox had chosen her favorite pair of denim jeans, and a white and mustard yellow striped sweater. She hoped that she didn't look too stupid, but knew that deep down, she would be the only one of the three that actually cared about how she looked.
Sighing, the girl looked back up, watching to see if she could pick the others out of the groups of students that were coming and going, eager to start the work and maybe finally begin to feel confident with the class.

An Unlikely (Study) Trio
Percival had made his way to the library slightly early. It was hard not coming early when he felt jittery. The Slytherin had never done a study group before. Mostly because Percival was never too big on studying or doing homework. Though he knew that his Uncle was hoping for him to pass his classes. So it was not hard for him to accept the girl's proposition. What was her name again? Oh right Lennox. he thought with a small nod.
It did not take long for Percival to enter the rather large Library. He was pretty surprised at how packed the library was. Usually, the library was fairly empty, except for a few stragglers. Though it seemed the ending year had put everyone into panic mode. It took a second for Percival to find an empty table though it did not seem to matter as he saw Lennox.
Sure, Percival was a little worried about this study group. They were all in different houses, and it was not uncommon for people to hate on Slytherin students. He shook his head slightly trying to get that idea out of his head. The two seemed nice enough, even though they did not often talk, and he wasn't too worried about not getting along with the other over house status.
He had brought his bag which was still slung around his shoulder. Taking it off his shoulder he placed it in his lap. There, Percival pulled out his book and wand placing them next to him. Percival took the bag placing it under the chair he sat in.
"Hey glad you found a table. It's pretty packed." he joked taking a look around quickly. Percival swiped some loose hair behind his ear as he debated on what to say. "I've never done a study group before." he said honestly.

Bex quickened her stride as she walked to the library, if she didn't hurry then she would be late for the study session. She had been surprised when the Ravenclaw girl, Lennox, had invited her to join a study group with a Slytherin boy, Percival. Bex had to write down both of their names, as they had not spoke to each other that often, but they had been friendly when they did chat.
Bex walked into the library and ran her hand through her hair, and looked down at her outfit. She was wearing a Muggle band t-shirt and jeans with rips in it, which was her usual outfit outside of class. She had intended to change into something that didn't scream "Muggle-born" before the group, though, but had ran out of time. She didn't know the boy that well, but she had heard that most Slytherins still didn't believe Muggle-borns should be allowed in the school. She didn't know if it was true or not, as she had not witnessed any incidents yet. She didn't believe the boy would be rude to her because of her blood, but she still had wanted to be cautious.
She scanned the library, which was extremely crowded, and Bex wondered how she would find the other two students she was supposed to meet. She walked around the library for a few minutes, making her a bit late, before she found the other two. She took a deep breath to steady herself before approaching them, the butterflies in her stomach fluttering rentlessly.
What's good, guys? Bex cringed at her greeting to the study group, her usual brain to mouth filter disappeared when she was running late. Nothing she could do about it now, though, as it was out there in the world. Sorry I'm a bit late, I got sidetracked reading and lost track of the time. Bex's parents had taught her to compliment someone after they invited you to anything, so Bex looked at Lennox's outfit. I like your sweater, or is it a jumper? What's the difference? Three years in England and I still don't know.

The Ravenclaw smiled, nodding a greeting when Percival sat, feeling a bit better now that he, too, had admitted he hadn't done a study group before. It made the whole ordeal less intimidating, despite the worry she had deep down about having a Gryffindor and Slytherin together, knowing that the two Houses had their moments historically, but had figured they were better than whatever that rift seemed to be. Lennox's family was historically Slytherins, so that didn't phase her, and as far as Gryffindors went, Lennox had no reason to have had an issue with them.
"I've never done a study group, either, if I'm honest. I'm just starting to get worried about the class, I'm not really pleased with where I'm at," She admitted, coming back from her train of thought into the present moment. At this moment, Bex had arrived, and Lennox turned her attention to the other girl, who had gone on a nervous ramble. She felt for her, as she knew that she, herself, could do the same at times.
"Don't worry about it, I think we just got here a bit early. I wanted to make sure we could actually get a table," Lennox said, trying to ease the nerves that were quite present in the group, all of them seeming unsure as to what expect. "Thanks! I think the two terms can be used interchangeably, there truly isn't much of a difference," Despite living in Britain her entire life, Lennox was equally as hopeless when it came to trying to identify the difference between a jumper and sweater.
"Percival and I were just talking about how we had never done a study group before, have you at all?" The young girl mentioned Percival with a warm smile towards him, noticing that there was already some awkwardness between Bex and the young Slytherin. Not on Lennox's watch, no way. There was a time and a place for house rivalries, but as far as she was concerned, this was not one of them. Granted, she could be reading the room wrong, but she wasn't going to even acknowledge the House differences unless it came up. She could have gone to her housemates and made a group, but the young girl found that at times, it was more competition within the House than productivity.
Once again losing her focus, Lennox wanted to get back on track, at least for some time. "Thank you both for coming. It means loads. I was thinking maybe the best way to start off would be to see what we're all struggling within the class, then work from there?" She tried to sound as assertive as she could, without seeming bossy. The young girl supposed since she had proposed the group, she would be the one to have to guide it. "I know I'm struggling with grasping the whole Zodiacs and their relationships to the planets. What about you, Percival?" Lennox tried to give the boy a moment to speak, knowing that it could be seen as the girls looking over him due to his House status, which was the last thing Lennox wanted anyone to think. Frankly, she probably would be more apt to get along with him for no other reason than familiarity with the personalities that can appear within that house. Not to say she wasn't going to get along with Bex, though. This should be interesting, she thought, hoping, at the very least, some work could be done.

Percival nodded as Lennox agreeing with the girl. "Yeah same. I don't want my grades to drop." he said with a small shrug.
Percival had not really known how the other's word act when he arrived today. Though judging from Bex's awkward actions. It was fairly clear she did not feel comfortable around him. The Slytherin ignored her awkward nod, instead, he brought his bag into his lap. "I hope I brought my quill." he said most of his words were mumbled by him looking down. It did not take long for him to locate his quill and ink, and he sat them down on his side of the table. Though he wished it had taken him longer to locate the quill. Since he now had nothing to distract him from the situation.
As Lennox spoke, Percival felt a sense of relief as the girl took charge of the situation. His gaze flicked back towards Bex wondering if she actually had done a study group before. Though he was taken back towards Lennox as she continued to speak.
"Yeah of course. I've been kinda needing a study group." he said with a small smile. Percival thought for a moment before answering, "Well the elements also mess me up.".
"I've also been struggling in Charms recently." he said rubbing the back of his neck.

Bex listened to Lennox talk and tried to ignore the internal dialouge going on in her head; she was desperately trying to igonre the voice in her head criticizing everything she had done wrong in the two minutes she had been here. Lennox asked Percival a question, which he answered admitting he was struggling a bit. Bex felt very relieved that both of them were having a bit of trouble; she had thought she wasn't quite understanding the work due to her Muggle upbringing.
She waited for Percival to finish talking before speaking to the group. Well to answer your first question, I haven't done any sort of study group before, but my parent's did hire a tutor for me when they weren't happy with my grammar. The biggest thing I'm struggling with in Astronomy is the Zodic signs relationships too; I'm not sure if the Professor mentioned the answer in the lecture, or if we're supposed to find it in our textbook. Did either of you catch the answer in the lecture?
