Calm Waters PV Pericles Dralt Closed

It was a relatively nice weekend, he hadn't received any owls from his family and his siblings hadn't approached him yet which was amazing. Percy figured the second his family found out about him getting Gryffindor they would flip out but they hadn't said a word, maybe they were attempting to give him the silent treatment? Either way Percy wasn't going to let his worries about his family take over the weekend because this meant no homework and freedom from classes.

The sun was shining and the sky had fluffy white clouds dotting it while the breeze was light and cool. This was rare on a Scottish morning and a Scottish anything, Britain was not known for their clear sunny weather so Percy was going to take advantage of this. He took off his robes and lay them next to him to where he was now only wearing sweat pants and a green T-Shirt with a serpent on it. Clearly a hand-me-down from Ervin and although he didn't like Ervin, Ervin had nice clothes still. As Percy lied backwards on the soft green grass he gazed up into the sky with squinted eyes. That was definitely a downside, the sun was no longer blocked by gray clouds and instead free to blind random kids.

Like many a Hogwarts student, Pericles had opted to take advantage of the brilliant weather. On the norm, he would perceive this as an excellent opportunity to read outside, to take up some sunny perch which was in the sun yet out of the crowds. Instead, he was jogging. Jogging was not his strongsuit. The lad had an average strength and stamina for one his age, but his power lay in logic. There were no spells to make one an excellent runner, or at least, none he knew off the top of his head. No, the only way in which he could physically better himself was by physically exercising. To some, a simple task. To Pericles, something strange, taxing, but (hopefully) worth the energy expenditure.

Though he didn't act like an athlete, he was certainly dressed to fit the part. The Ravenclaw's bold blue tanktop proudly bore the Hogwarts crest, black shorts marked with a bronze band per his house colors, leather hiking boots beating the dirt path. Peri lacked his glasses and typical leather bookbag for a change. Yet his bookish inclinations soon became apparent enough: once he was further from the busy grounds, closer now to the Great Lake gleaming in the sunlight, the lad doubled over. Gangly limbs ceased their rhythmic swinging, arms dangled and knees buckled. Planting his hands against them, he hunched and heaved heavy breaths, wracked with exhaustion. The Care of Magical Creatures professor had made exercise look easy enough. Was it normal for one's mouth to be so dry?

Pericles dragged the back of a wrist across his brow, peering blearily towards the somewhat hazy figure of a student lying in the grass nearby, the glance looking like a glare given his hard squint. He was beginning to believe the [assumed] Slytherin had the right idea: it was a good day to lie down and take a nap instead of all this running rubbish.
