Fell outta the sky like a ded bird

@Dale Kurt
Young and old trees overhang the stream, half shading the luxurious flowers blooming on the grounds. Soft blues, mud browns and the many different yellows of sunlight are the main colors, as soft as the sounds of leaves in the breeze. A bird cut like a laser through the scene, straight and fast, a slice of light and motion so striking that you almost felt it. It had gone in a spilled second, but a trace of the image lingers, its power out of proportion to its size.
The breeze ran over the lavender hair, creating a gorgeous dance under the sunlight. The hair went along with the breeze, lightly tapped on the girl's pale skin as if asking her to join the dance.
If only it was the girl who would apology to a tiny little paper if she unintentionally stepped on it, was still her.
If only the little youngster Luna and the second-year Luna were the same.
She would take a step back, then start dancing under the sunlight with the breeze being her partner. She would jump as high as she could, and sing along with the bird. She would turn round and round and smile with the delightful flowers.
But she couldn't.
Because that girl and she were not the same people anymore.
The Slytherin prefect lightly tapped her hands on her cheek, realizing that she was losing in thoughts. No the time for daydreaming. Focus, girl, focus.
The girl’s hands suddenly froze realizing how immature her action was. Without hesitation, the skinny hands went back to where they were supposed to be, holding a pouch. As a second-year, she could not allow herself to do those types of immature reactions. She needed to act more mature.
Twelve years old, old enough.
Luckily, it was just seven o'clock in the morning. On every normal Sunday, no one went out of to the ground this early. They would lie still on their beds, such lazy people.
The sound of birds chirping was as clear as they were whispering right into her ears. The sound of the water from the Great Lake was so light and soft, but so clearly at the same time. There was just her, and this grand ground with nobody else.
Taking another step forward so that the leaves of the grand tree could keep her away from the daylight, the girl softly coughed, not forgetting to cover her mouth with her left hand. It was not bright, nor hot. Standing under the sunlight just gave her that strange uncomfortable feeling.
With the left hand just hanging out, Luna lightly tapped on the pouch she was wearing using her other hand. Within a second, the tiny pouch slowly opened letting her see her elegant wand, a mysterious piece of paper with a tiny little handkerchief next to it. She took out the handkerchief, cleaning her left hand as she always did, after interacting with Haynes. Ugh, disgusting.
At the moment when the girl was about to close the small pouch, the mysterious piece of paper caught her eyes. It had been a great partner, for doing patrolling. The marauder map just quietly lied there, but she felt like it was whispering into her ears.
That she should open it.
So, why would she not do it?
Mumbling the magical words, the map of Hogwarts and people’s names started showing up. Some footsteps still moved around in their dorms. But that was not what the Slytherin perfect’s concern.
Who was this Dale Kurt, and why was he right near her when she was the only one on the ground?
Just because I said you were bad does not mean that I am mean. It shows that I am honest.
