Sage smiled softly "hello" she said to Aura. "I'm Sage, Sage Miller, pleasure to meet you" she said and took a bite of food. "I like this book too! I want to study animals and be a Zoologist like Newt" she smiled widely. She hadn't met someone who liked the book that she was reading all the time. The girl seemed friendly and let her sit next to her. "Hogwarts is pretty amazing huh?" She said and laughed softly. She noticed how chatty Aura was, but it was nice to have someone talking to her.
"I don't know what my parents told them, I'm Muggle-born so my family thinks I'm such an odd ball and doesn't count me as family anymore. But that's ok, because I've got Hogwarts" she said and shrugged, taking a bite of food again and went back to reading, waiting for the girl to respond to what she said unless she was too busy in her book, which Sage understood better than most people. After a few minutes she'd grab another bite of food before sneaking a few glances at Aura and then looking back at her book and reading the words on the page as she smiled softly, she was thinking that maybe she had a new reading buddy.

Aura was sympathetic to Sage. “That’s horrible. I mean what your family has done. My parents were both only children, and both all of my grandparents were dead by the time I was 7. You know, I’ve never told anyone this but...” her voice trailed off. “Never mind. My dad passed away due to brain cancer when I was quite little, so it’s always been you know, just Mum and I. She’s a very loving mum, but a little overprotective.” Aura tried to pretend she was too into her book to talk, but in reality, she wondered if this girl had just found herself a new reading buddy. Aura felt like she belonged here more than anywhere else. She loved it here. And there was something about this girl. Something...different. She wasn’t the stereotypical nerd, but seemed more sensitive, thoughtful. Aura always associated quotes with people and Sage’s would be “The enemy of knowledge isn’t ignorance, but rather the illusion of knowledge.” Sage seemed to live like that. Aura was content. She couldn’t believe all that had happened in just her first day! She couldn’t wait to owl her mum tonight! Sage was just the type of person she had hoped to meet!
I tend to go on and on. Ooh, nice hair! You know, when I was younger, I had a hairstyle not unlike that. I am beautiful, don’t you think? Ooh, what a beautiful blue morpho! Don’t you love color! It fills our world with love!

Katherine's eyes widened and she smiled happily as she took the scone from the plate of table when she heard that he wouldn't mind her bringing it along. "Oh joyous day I didn't have to leave ye behind...", She mumbled as she took another bite from the delicious scone, just happy to have something delicious to wash down the horrid memory of the bloody sour green cone. She gave a delightful hum as she began to chew the bite she took and just watched Vincent take the sight in around them. She could understand the look of wonder and awe that appeared on his face. After all she bet the wonder was still twinkling in her eyes after she began to take in this whole wizard thing in. Even though her parents were both wizards they never really told her about their world. So this was all new to her, well except all the rushed reading she did before coming here. Other then second hand knowledge Katherine didn't know much. She began to smile a bit more as she saw his reaction. 'Ay I hope we both learn more', she thought as she looked around a bit more too.
“This is fabulous, don’t you think?”
She nodded along before she swallowed the piece of scone and said,"Ay Vincent...It's better then all the the books I've ever read about it....". She smiled and looked back over to him to see his eyes twinkling and asking if she was ready. "Laddie I was born ready ye ken? Now let's go explore!" She smiled and patted his back firmly with the other hand that did not hold her precious scone. "This castle amn't gonna explore itself." She started to grin along with him before she took another bite of the scone and just sighed happily "So delicious..."

Sage looked at her "that's awful, I can't imagine how tough it must be" she said and decided she was full and not to eat anymore. She smiled softly at Aura "I'm glad you're here too though, you seem like you'll have fun here just as much as I am" she gave the girl a warning smile before looking back down at her book. While reading a few strands of hair fell from behind her ear and she pushed them back, looking around before looking down at the book again.Responding to @Aura Lee
Aura seemed gentle and kind, maybe a little too energetic. But her energy is exactly what Sage needs, she needed someone who might always see the positive in things, one who is actually excited to be her friend. She smiled at the thought of them becoming maybe even best friends, laughing and reading whenever they could, help each other study for hard tests. Now Sage was determined to become friends with Aura, but judging by the girl, she wouldn't have to do much. It seemed like it was her first day and so Sage wanted to make it special somehow "would you like me to show you around?" Sage asked her, hoping the girl would say yes so Sage could take her to the lake if she hadn't already. She didn't know why but she felt like the two of them would enjoy the lake together.

Vincent vaguely registered Kathy agreeing to his proposal to explore the castle some more in the back of his mind as he, still in awe, took in the overwhelming atmosphere some more, savoring the moment. Then he turned his attention back to Kathy. Hogwarts’ Great Hall, in all its beauty and awesomeness, would have to wait. Vincent had no doubt he’d be here many more times in the near future anyway. “You know what, after seeing all this I wouldn’t at all be surprised if this castle actually would explore itself.” he said in reply to her remark, smirking at the thought. “Anyway, shall we go?” he added. Not really sure what direction they should take he decided to follow the other Ravenclaw apprentices as it seemed they too had the same goal. “It would have been nice if they had used some sign posts or at least some signage so we would know where to go to.” He grumbled under his breath as he started moving.
After a short walk they arrived at a spiral staircase built from huge, perfectly aligned sandstone blocks. Its steps were irregularly worn, especially in the middle, indicating they had seen their fair share of shoes and boots over the years. He turned to Kathy and gestured gracefully towards the stairs. “After you, miss.” he said as they started climbing to whatever height these stairs would lead them. And some height it turned out to be! When Kathy and Vincent finally finished the seemingly endless spirals of stairs required to reach the entrance to the Ravenclaw Tower common room their path ended with a closed door at the end of an impressively large landing.
While trying to catch his breath after the long ascent Vincent meticulously scrutinized it hoping to find a way to open it. It was a huge wooden door that stood about eight feet high and was devoid of any type of door fittings, safe an eagle shaped bronze knocker. Vincent tried to open the impressive door by giving it a firm push, but, not exactly surprising, it wouldn’t budge. Instead the door had a surprise for them in store, as the knocker started to speak, causing Vincent to jump two feet up in scare at this unexpected, sudden voice.
“Those that desire to enter, must first feed my curiosity.”
It said in a warm, but somewhat bored voice.
“Answer me this: What mineral causes one to age?”
As it awaited an answer – and probably the right one at that – it fell silent. Vincent looked at Kathy as he racked his brain for the right answer. So far he failed to come up with it. “Any ideas?” he asked her with a puzzled look on his face.

Andrea had a terrible train ride. There was the gloomy boy the overly perky judgmental girl and.... well actually Brooklyn wasn’t terrible. Too bad she was put in hufflepuff with that judge pest. She grumbled to herself. Of all the houses RAVENCLAW? It might seem perfect for a nerd like her but it wasn’t. It meant being around naturally intelligent people. The non fakers. The genuinely successful. The ones who didn’t have panic attacks every time they read too much. It fed into her inferiority complex far too much for her liking. Oh well. What could you do? She decided to make acquaintances. Nudging the person to her left she whispered “Could you please pass the dinner rolls?” Simple. Easy. It’s surprisingly a very good way to determine ones personality. Whether they grumbled and went along. Glared and said to get it yourself. Smiled politely and passed it while avoiding eye contact. Or the most telling, grinned and said “Sure!” in a perky tone and asked follow up questions. Something so simple could tell a lot about the way a person treated others. As she waited for the other to hear her she tapped the table with her want creating a beat.

Aura was lost in thought, when a voice shook her back to reality.
She had never been good at that, and all the drawing books skipped steps. She loved books regardless. Books had bee3n her childhood, her life, her very essence, but Hogwarts was new and fresh. Books were old, comforting, home. Hogwarts was her home now. She needed to get to know it, and books couldn’t introduce the two, Sage could. Aura finally said
Aura was lost in thought, when a voice shook her back to reality.
Sage asked. Aura took a minute to think and then replied."would you like me to show you around?"
She smiled to herself, thinking of the first time she had been introduced to the World Wide Web. Her mother made a point to raise Aura on books, and only when Aura turned six did she get a computer. They were giving them out at her mum’s university, so Aura got one of the older models. The first thing she looked up was “How to draw a horse.””Sure, I mean, I have learned quite a bit about Hogwarts from maps in books I had read, but books can teach you everything, can they?”
“Well, where do you want to start?”

The Ravenclaw Table 2019 -2020
Isadora approached the giant table that housed the sea of her fellow ravenclaws. Everyone seemed already animated and talking to one another as she got closer. Once she found an empty seat she sat herself down and was silent for a moment.
She wasn't used to socializing in big crowds and it seemed a little overwhelming at the moment. But at the same time, if she wanted to branch out more she would have to learn to speak up in order to make friends.
As she built up the courage to speak to someone, anyone, she used the quiet time to fill up her plate with all the delicious looking foods set out. There were so many plates of meats, vegetables, fruits that Isadora could not decide one just one, so she decided to take one small sample piece of everything. It was just enough to fill up her plate and she would get to try a bit of everything on the table.
With that done, she paused and looked around. Students were talking amongst themselves about classes, the amazing food, and where they would be staying.
'Where will we be staying?' Isadora thought distractedly to herself. Her father didn't explain his experience in great detail. Even if he had, he was a Slytherin, so he wouldn't be able to tell her what her dorm will look like anyways. Her birth mother was also a Slytherin, plus they didn't talk much, so either way, at this point Isadora was on her own to wonder about it. With that last curious thought, Isadora looked up to the next person she saw across from her.
"Hello, I'm Isadora, what's your name?" She asked with a bright smile and fake confidence.

How Katherine just adored looking at the ancient castle while her and Vincent walked along the hallways to find their common room. Looking at every nook and cranny just inspired her curiosity as her and Vincent walked up the staircase. 'I wish ma and da was here to see all of this!' She thought smiling before she laughed softly out loud. 'They already have ye dafty!'. It is exactly what she pictured of an ancient magical castle in The Highlands as a school for wizards. Just.....absolutely breathtaking.
No literally! Katherine was breathing heavily as she was crouched down a wee bit trying to recover her stamina after those endless stairs. Katherine was never the best in sports but she was decent enough. "Does it have to be so high? Those damn bloody stairs could've killed me!", she looked up at Vincent and huffed out a breath in over exaggeration. "We have magic so why not a magic elevator!", She whined a bit before chuckling and sitting up, listening in to what the door said for their riddle. 'A mineral? that makes you age? well there are many possibilities...' she thought before she turned to Vincent. "Well... we could go logical but I highly doubt that since it's a riddle. We got to be clever....There's a number of things that it could be though." Katherine was thinking hard but she never heard of a riddle like this before.

Alexis sat down at the big long table where all the children in blue robes were sitting and chatting with each other. She looked around trying to remember where exactly her brothers was sitting while she was being sorted, focusing her gaze onto the Slytherin table trying to find her brothers, there they are grinning like Cheshire cats, giving her thumbs up and waving like a pair of mad man. Bloody hell, what kind of reputation they have exactly? Winning the most ridiculous pair of twin popular contest? She gave them a stern glare like her mother would have if she saw her sons acting like they have never been taught any manners in their entire life, at the feast no less! She shook her head a little but gave them a genuine smile anyway. They’re her brothers, nothing is going to change that.Interacting with : @Isadora Ramone
She brought herself back to the food in front of her and started to fill up her plate. She heard a girl sitting across from her asked, “Hello. I’m Isadora. What’s your name?”
Alexis turned her head towards the girl, Isadora. “My name is Alexis. Alexis Asterion.” She said that in a monotone voice, her face unreadable, testing how the girl would respond to her not so friendly demeanor.
