A Salutary Session
Erin woke in a familiar position, on her back staring at a ceiling. Erin was no stranger to getting her ass handed to her, even is she dished more than she took. She knew that smell, a combination of rubbing alcohol and betadine, the scents of true hell. She knew the feel of these starched sheets that were tucked so tight that she felt like she was cocooned. This is a Hospital Thread post the Slytherin v Gryffindor Quidditch Game.
...She was back in the lair of the evil school nurse!
What were those dunderheads thinking bringing her here after she was hit by a bludger with sufficient force to render her unconscious so that he would fall from her broom only to plummet almost a hundred feet to the hard, unforgiving ground. T'was nothing but a scratch!
She let out a groan to herald her awakening. She felt like Oliver sat on her back and crushed her spine. She would sit up and look around, look around at the other students still sleeping in their beds. She was not going to stay in the murder bed and wait for the nurse to put her permanently to sleep.
So she did what any logical person would do, she rose. She was going to escape this restorative prison. As she stood up, her head swam, her back hurt and her legs felt like jelly. She stumbled forward, to the next bed. It might be occupied. She did not care. She just needed five minutes.
Erin would crawl into Griseldis' or another student's bed, did not matter who. That was somewhat irrelevant. This bed was at least pre-warmed. And they were the little spoon.
Action: Erin snuggles Gris (or other unfortunate student)

A Salutary Session
When the Gryffindor girl slowly regained her consciousness, and the moment she opened her eyes was just the white ceiling and the smell of disinfectant. But then she felt a sharp pain coming from the back of her head and her left arm, causing her to let out a painful groan. The pain somehow made her remember what really happened. She was at the last Quidditch game against the Slytherin team, during the first round she was ordered to hit their seeker with the bludger. It was a success and she was so proud of her first bludger hit but before she could react more, one of the Slytherin team's strongest and most experienced Beaters, Erin Ryan. The third-year Slytherin she once met at the Hogwarts Express during the summer break and the other time at the ballroom where things escalated too quickly. Then their third meeting at the stadium facing each other as Beaters.Interacting with @Erin Ryan
Even though what happened after the fight at the ballroom, she was only disappointed with the senior but never really dislike, she even still held some respect for Erin. Grisledis felt that there must be more to the purple-haired Slytherin, just like Kaegen, the infamous Ravenclaw who was rumored for being dangerous. Her grandfather once told her there would always be a reason why these people would have such negative behavior. Letting out a sigh, she moved her sour body to the side and looked at the empty bed beside her. Griseldis wondered how was her team doing so far after losing one of their first string Beaters? She could only hope that they will get through this. Of course, she also didn't forget about her friends and hoped she didn't make them worried too much. It might have been a scary scene for them to witness her being knocked off her broom. Griseldis did feel a bit recalcitrant of the outcome thought because she only started out as a Beater and already got defeated by a boss level rival.
"Huh?", Griseldis suddenly felt someone crawled into her bed and without any warning, the person from behind wrapped their arms around her so tightly it felt like she had been tangled by a huge snake. It did hurt a little but still manageable for her. Why the person behind her wanted to snuggle her in her bed? Did they have a nightmare or something?
Griseldis would turn her head to the side to see who it was and her eyes widen in surprise, "E-Erin!?" Why would Erin snuggle her in bed? Didn't she hate her for stopping the fight and gave her detention? Why the unexpected affection? Well, since she couldn't move, she could only look at Erin with a mix of confusion and worry. "Erhm...Hi, Erin...why are you in my bed and why are you snuggling me?", Griseldis asked awkwardly, not that she really mind. It kind of reminded her how her older Chinese cousin who would often snuggle her in bed and tell her Chinese folktales. It was one of her heart-warming memories to cherish. So perhaps Erin was just feeling lonely?

Griseldis had an elephant's memory, ether that or the third year's purple tresses made her a standout. Griseldis was just a ginger in a sea of gingers to Erin, she could not even say that Gris was the red-headed one. There were a number of fiery-headed girls among the prefect ranks. No, Gris was a mattress warmer as far as the reptile was concerned. Too lazy to return to her bed which was already starting to cool she crawled into the adjacent occupied bed and pushed her way in.
Like a spider monkey she would wrap her arms and her legs around the little spoon, plop her head down on their now shared pillow and almost immediately start to fall asleep.
"Huh?"
Snore. The sound of light snoring answered her sound of confusion.
"E-Erin!?"
The louder noise rudely woke the slumbering Slytherin. "Ne-ah!" Erin complained as she closed her eyes tighter in complaint. "Too loud..." She yawned as she adjusted her grip. Gris made the warmest pillow.
"Erhm...Hi, Erin...why are you in my bed and why are you snuggling me?"
"Nearest bed.... Warm..." She replied. No secret lust for Griseldis, she just needed her warmth to remove the chill from her cold reptilian blood. It might have been better to be assailed, that was more expected. But it would be notable, Erin was as cold as ice. It was like an icepack had been laid on the girl's back. It felt inhuman. It took some time to feel, to notice. The layers of cloth a barrier to convection.

Black turned to red which turned to white. The white was blurry and suddenly changed to black again. Now it's red again...and white again, a bit less blurry this time. This chromatic carousel would continue for about half a minute before finally the world began to take shape again and with it came all the accompanying pain. Yay!
AJ winced as his consciousness returned. His left arm felt heavier than usual, and he glanced down to see it contained within a cast and wrapped around in a sling. "Aw pess, theer goos meh unbreekubble record." He lamented sadly, attempting to flex his fingers only to feel more sharp pain shoot through his arm. It was still definitely healing, but certainly didn't hurt as much as he felt it should, he presumed there was some kind of magic cure-all at work.
He snuggled back into his pillow, trying to recollect what had occurred for him to wind up here. He had been told multiple times that he was pretty safe from Bludgers since he was just a chaser, however it seemed saving Lamik had been the foil to all that. At least AJ hadn't taken the bludger full force in the back, he could only imagine how the seeker was feeling.
He noticed that he was still in his uniform. Which he supposed made sense, but he felt a little bad for staining the hospital sheets with dirt and grass. It was at this moment that he heard two voices, one mumbly and one rather confused, from about two beds away.
He turned his neck to the right. He winced in pain, having turned it a bit too quickly. He was still very sore, he only hoped he would be out quick enough to see the Ravenclaw vs Hufflepuff game tomorrow. He gently pulled his curtain aside, only a little bit as to not disturb the resident of the bed over, until he noticed it was empty. He looked a bit further and saw two girls sharing the same space.
Immediately the young scotsman drew the curtain back sharply and stared at the ceiling. He was clearly watching a rather intimate moment and didn't want to get a reputation as some kind of pervert. He hadn't even taken the time to notice whom either of the two girls were.
He lay there quietly for a few moments before he started to get a tad parched. He couldn't see a nurse nearby and didn't want to call for one in case they noticed the two girls...um...spooning. So, with a rather shaky voice he asked "E-ehm...sorreh, do either ef yeh knoow wheer teh gut eh watur?" He made his voice loud enough to be heard from the other bed. He quite wanted to avoid getting up to look for a drink if he could, his body was still quite sore.
Action: Not being a pervert.

Due to the events of the current match, Alan forced himself to leave the pitch urgently still shaken from watching his friend Griseldis falling off her broom in what he deemed was the most bloody match of Quidditch he has ever seen. Hurrying along the corridors with his newfound friend Lark in tow eager to find out what's happened to his Gris. The pair eventually made it to the foot of the door of the hospital wing. Alan realising he had left in such a hurry he forgot the poster he crafted on top of the desserts his Nan made for the day shook his head muttering "No time to worry about that now" Looking towards Lark "Hey you still ok? you've been quiet since we left the match." He gently squeezed her hand in attempts to reassure the first year everything was ok.
Assuming Lark said anything the young lad took a moment to calm himself down still hyperventilating, remembering the loud crack of the bat that smacked the bludger into his friend sent shivers down his spine. The young lad's inner thoughts repeat in the back of his mind "Relax Alan last thing Gris needs is a stressed-out Al." Shaking his head, the young lad finally, had still had the shakes manages to pull the door of the hospital wing open, pulling Lark in gently along with him as they enter the quiet ward.
Upon entering there was a slight confusion as Alan looked towards AJ lying in his bed hearing the shrill shaken tone though he felt was hard to understand ignored it for now as the young lad desperately searched for his friend. Finally coming across where Griseldis lay down, he peered in with a weak smile on his face only to find a girl with purple hair snuggling against his best friend, causing the young lad to chuckle uncomfortably. Just as confused as Griseldis, The Ravenclaw was mostly speechless as he finally spoke nervously."G-Gris a-a-are y-y-you ok? U-um w-who's your friend d-doesn't the hospital wing not ha-have enough beds?" Alan in the back of his mind was somewhat relieved to see Griseldis awake thankfully due to the confusion of Erin cuddling up to his friend the young lad was able to hold back the tears as this really weirded the boy out.

Lark's stomach was still doing somersaults as she followed Alan to the Hospital Wing. If anything the walk had only given her more time to ride the roller-coaster of anxiety she had been strapped to after seeing her best friend plummet to the ground. Wetting her lips, she peeked around from behind her new friend as they entered the room. She recalled nodding a couple of times and giving a reply to Alan when he checked on her as they had walked along and then gotten to the doorway but anything she said she felt like it just sounded as if she were trapped in a metal rubbish bin, echoing and muffled in her head. After Alan had led her in the room, she stood off to one side knowing he would want to get to Gris as soon as he was able. She still wasn't even sure what to say to AJ or ... An image of her own frightened state and yelling at one of the nurses after the Masked ball flashing in her thoughts making her legs feel like jelly.
No. No She couldn't give into those thoughts... She was here and AJ was well... Lark glanced around and noticed a familiar mop of hair just around one of the partitions. Willing her legs to move forward, despite almost stumbling over her own two feet, the young Ravenclaw slowly made her way past the cloth partition as her friend came into view. He looked like he was awake, although his face looked rather flushed. Restraining the urge to rush over and dote on the boy, she shakily lowered herself into the seat at the head of his bed.
"H..hey.." She forced the word from her mouth and fought back another wave of wanting to fling herself crying onto her friend. He wasn't dead... he wasn't. All of the rosy tint to the girl's skin drained to a pale complexion. Any of the chilly Scottish air that had nipped at it earlier was now simply cold from the adrenaline leaving her body. See she didn't have to be so worried of course they would be able to--nope. She couldn't do it anymore. Her muscles had a mind of their own clearly as the girl leaned forward and hugged her friend as best she could, burying her face into the crook of his neck not even considering what it would probably do to the face-paint she had spent hours on. Ah well.. Her hair emptied of all it's color, turning back to it's silvery hue as she clung to her friend and muttered into his pillow a string of tearful sentences that would be totally inaudible other than a couple 'I thought you died' and 'Oh thank Merlin' and even possibly something about going after a certain Slytherin....possibly a curse or two thanks to her time around Gem.

Other, non-injured students would make their way into the Hospital Wing. She did not know them, well she vaguely recognized Lark (from a thread that sadly died) but she did not know the young man that entered with her. Not that she cared as she tightened her grip on Griseldis. As far as she was concerned it was still nap time. The girl rushed over to AJ, not that she knew the boy's name and started sobbing over the boy. How a soggy injured lad was going to be better off than a dry one was none of her concern. Some boy would come over to them, Erin and Gris and stammer something about having enough beds.Interacting with: @Griseldis Edelhardt

'Nyeh!" Erin complained as she yanked the blankets upward over her (well, more likely their) head. "It is cold over there," she complained. Her muffled voice coming through the weave of the blanket. It was as cool as any other day in the Scottish castle. These early spring days always had a chill but it was nothing that a pair of warm socks could not buffer or a pair of long sleeves. However, as Griseldis could likely attest, Erin was like a block of ice spooning her. A true endothermic reaction.

Oh, Merlin!? Is Erin always this cold? Well, the lioness meant the body temperature of the elder snake and not her personality (She is odd, yes but not cold-hearted perhaps) Even though Griseldis didn't really mind but this was still the first time being snuggled by someone else other than her family and relatives. When she asked awkwardly why she wanted to stay in her bed and her answer was that it was the nearest. "Okay...", still confused and began to feel uncomfortable due to Erin's inhuman coldness.Interacting with @Alan Noble @Lark Flaer @Allister-Jameson MacAllister @Erin Ryan
Compare to Erin, Griseldis was always warm, not just having a warm kind of personality. Since she was little many people who touched her hands would always say this to her "You have very warm hands." with a smile on their faces. As a very young child, she didn't understand it until her grandmother once told her that people who had warm hands have compassion in their hearts and could bring warmth to people's frozen hearts. What she said really made her happy and proud to have warm hands. While still uncomfortable, she slowly got lost in her own memories of her grandmother but then she heard a familiar Scottish voice.Wait...that voice, that's...!? At least the lioness could move her head to the side and was surprised to see the Scottish boy looking very confused at her...no, correction, them on his own neighbor bed. "Oh no, did you also got knocked down by a beater? Are you hurt?", instead of asking him about the game or answering his awkward question, she first asked about his well-being. But AJ seemed to not hear her clearly and assumed that she ignored him. She wouldn't blame him though because she spoke with a almost muffled sound between Erin's elbow that was covering her mouth. Then she saw two familar Ravenclaws entering the Hospital Wing, "A-Alan!? Lark!? H-hi you two!", Griseldis also didn't expect that they would come to visit her. Alan greeted her with a weak smile and she could see a lot of worry in his blue eyes."E-ehm...sorreh, do either ef yeh knoow wheer teh gut eh watur?"
Griseldis shook her head and tried to look at him directly into his eyes with a warm smile, "I am fine now and this is Erin, you know...the 3rd year Slytherin I once met at the Hogwarts Express during the Summer Break and...also the one I gave out my very first detention...Whaa-" without any warning, Erin suddenly just yanked the blanket over their heads, this time, she wanted to get out of the bed herself and pulled down the blanket so she could see and breathe again. "Erin, if you like staying in my bed, you can, but I would like to get out of the bed now." With that being said, she would attempt to use her strength to pull her arms open if possible to be released from her ice-cold snuggle."G-Gris a-a-are y-y-you ok? U-um w-who's your friend d-doesn't the hospital wing not ha-have enough beds?"

H did in fact receive a response from the cuddle crew, it seemed one of the people locked in the embrace was his acquaintance and skilled beater Gris. She asked him immediately whether he was ok, which caused him to smile slightly and shake his head light-heartedly. Of course she was concerned about his health when she had clearly taken the worst of it. "Aye am okee, didnae teek tha fewel furce af tha bludger." He neglected to mention that their seeker had instead taken that hit due to a spot of bad flying on AJ's part. "Jus' lunded a bi' awkwurdleh an meh arm." He explained. "How're yoo haldin' up? Mustev ben sumthen' mighteh fierce tah brung yoo doon." He asked, hoping that she was still in good shape and good spirits despite her fall.
He started to toy with the notion of getting up to find a drink when he heard the sound of footsteps from multiple sources entering. He wondered if it was possibly a nurse, he could ask them for a drink when they came round to him. However it seemed that they wanted to get around to the couple first and foremost.
After a short moment he heard a set of footsteps coming over near to him. Ah, must've been two nurses so now one was coming to tend to him. However the face that greeted him at the foot of his bed wound up not being a nurse, it was even better, @Lark Flaer herself. His face split into a grin. "Wull hullo theer. Cem teh vusit tha moost hundsum Cheeser?" He joked with his friend, which unfortunately didn't seem to improve her mood much as she sat on the chair nearby and offered him a weak greeting. "Y'alreeght Laerk? Yeh look leek yeh've seen eh ghoost." He asked, trying to make her feel more comfortable. "Oh! I don' suppose yeh could grub meh eh wat-ermf..." His question was cut off by the force of his friend crushing him with a hug. "Chreest Laerk, weh didnae lose dud weh?" He half-joked with her as he wrapped his good arm around her, trying to ignore the pain shooting through his broken limb as she lay her wait upon it.
She smeared a little bit of orange and yellow face paint on his neck but he wasn't really concerned, his mind more preoccupied with what had gotten the girl in such a state. He made no attempts to move her despite the soreness of his arm. Evidently his best friend had some issues that only a good long hug could fix.

On top of awkwardly watching as Erin Ryan continued to make herself known in Griseldis bed, yanking the blanket up towards her head, Alan couldn't help but shiver at just how weird this girl was. Attempting to pay no mind to this uncomfortable circumstance his friend was in, Alan was glad to see Lark was finally tending to her friend AJ or instead crying on him it made the young lad smile for her.
Turning his head back towards Griseldis, Alan approached to the side the Griffindor was laying down on, assuming there was a chair by the young lad would pull it up and sit down. Still quite shaken from the events of the Quidditch match Alan attempted to keep his body even with all his efforts it only left his palms still shivering of seeing his friend in the Hospital Wing. Seeing that warm smile wanting to wrap his arms around Griseldis though it was clear he was refraining from doing so, having raised both arms before lowering them as he said "I'm so glad you are ok...I watched you fall, and I didn't know what to think." Letting out a deep breath he looked over towards Erin just past Gris giving the third year a wave as he tried to calmly introduce himself "U-uh Hi Erin, I'm Alan" Not wanting to seem rude to someone he just met he added "T-thanks f-for keeping my friend company I-I-I guess?"
Watching Gris struggle to break free of the cold arm restraints of Erin the young lad chuckled softly not wanting to disturb the other patients that may be around on top of the nurse "Do you need a hand Gris?" Looking over towards Lark once more checking to see if his fellow Ravenclaw was ok, watching AJ although pained he watch an attempt to hug her which the young lad thought was sweet. In the back of Alan's mind, all he could say was "See Al there was nothing to worry about, Gris fine and that girl is sobbing her eyes out...probably and that Erin girl...honestly I've no clue Al just keep talking."
The young lad cursed himself, remembering he left a box of Pumpkin pasties with Ruthie back at the pitch. However, he realised he allowed her to keep it in the heat of the moment Alan shook his head remorsefully "If I knew you were going to end up in the Hospital Wing Gris, I'd have brought some Pumpkin Pasties...sorry." Alan really wanted to yank that blanket off Erin, but it would make him look bad as it may seem like the young lad is assaulting an injured person. Alan was forcing some restraint wanting to look strong for Gris in this situation.
OOC: Just to be clear he's just chilling...as much as he wants to yank the blanket off Erin and leave her to freeze xD
