Dale looked over to Nico, she had two people around her, one of them was half-giant Quinn, and another girl was someone he had never seen before. He wondered what was happening over there, the poor girl seemed rather unhappy... and before Dale could think any further she had gotten out of her seat and was making her way towards the exit, Dale couldn't leave her like that, it was their goal, after all, to make sure everyone here enjoyed their time and leaving that poor girl like that would be the opposite of what they were supposed to do,

Dale quickly gave Evelynn the bag he was holding, and he started to make his way over to the exit door, he stood in front of it as to block the girl from leaving. Dale again hesitated, not sure of what to say, he gathered himself and tried to think of calming words. "Miss, are you sure you want to leave just yet? You haven't tried any of our tea or our delicious pastries." Dale said as he mustered up his most charming smile. He took the girl's hand, "How about we find a seat and we can have a nice talk over some tea and some sweets?"

Shen and Persephone Seen From Afar
If one looked through the Rehearsal Room, they would see clients mingling with hosts and each other. They were either already choosing or being quite whole heatedly convinced by the hosts and hostesses. However in the far left corner, furthest away from the door, one would see a young gentleman, acting with perfect grace entertaining a young lady. They spoke and danced, and he appeared to be flirting. If one looked carefully, they would see the occasional quick blush on the beautiful young lady's cheeks. One would have heard strands of song flowing from the young gentleman as he twirled her around the space near their table, their steps in perfect harmony and with perfect rhythm. The tea and pastries had barely been touched, but it still seemed as if they were having a marvelous time. Between the young man's firey and passionate actions and the gorgeous young lady's marble like reactions, with the occasional blush or smile being unable to be suppressed poking through, it seemed almost like the perfect drama. Their interaction was a song of ice and fire, of yin and yang, of heaven and earth, truly a momentous occasion between a mortal prince and a heavenly goddess.

As if this club wasn't awkward enough for her, something else had to happen to make things even more uncomfortable. In fact, Lamik's presence was enough to unnerve the girl. Not only did he really stand out in his normal looking school uniform compared to everyone else's outfits, but there was still something that made her heart jump. It was probably the fact that she was surprised to see him here. For one, she didn't think Lamik was into that kind of thing. Well, judging from his question, she might have guessed he randomly stumbled upon the club and had absolutely no idea what was going on. She couldn't blame him though. The scene was a lot to take in, especially for a club that had recently started. And he was a friend who she knew well enough. She would have expected some random students who wanted to spend time with her for whatever reason (or if they really wanted, they would have used it as an opportunity to get Quidditch advice from her), but spending time with Lamik in an environment like this only made her uneasy.

She still had a role to play, and if she could keep up the cool demeanor she was supposed to have for a little longer, she could survive this. No, she couldn't quite pull off the charming pickup lines that the other club members seemed to be intent on using, but she still had what it took to hold a decent and engaging conversation. And if she was lucky enough, she could have kept him here without accidentally driving him away from the otherwise alienating environment he was probably in.

"This is the Hogwarts Host and Wonderous Tea. It's not as scary as it looks, I promise. " She smiled, hoping the introduction was enough to convince him not to rush out of the room and never come back. It was a good starting point, enough to regain the bit of confidence she lost seconds ago. "We as the Hosts and Hostesses are here to make your day a bit brighter in case you're feeling down."
She had to deliberate on the next words she was going to say. She couldn't seem to bring herself to flirt like all the other hosts and hostesses. It might have been something wrong with her, or maybe flirting with Lamik in itself felt wrong. "But if you're not really feeling the romance vibe we have here, you can also settle for the tea or a conversation with one of the hosts here. We're here to make sure you enjoy yourself."

And now she actually had to make sure he wasn't going to run off. "If you want to stay around, we can go over and talk. Or have tea. Really, anything you want to do."

Hogwarts was a very big place. That piece of information was quite obvious at a single glance- the towering stone walls and picturesque surroundings sheltered hundreds of magical inhabitants, the learners and learned, spectres and beasts alike. As vast as the school of wizardry and witchcraft was, gossip was quick to spread, running through the ranks of students like a forest caught by fire, and it wasn't long before the news had reached the ears of fair Astrea.

At first, the aristocrat was more than happy to merely sit back and continue on her days without the fuss of the budding club intruding on the delicate balance she had crafted between classes. But to live within Hogwarts' walls was to always be within the range of its news, so it wasn't long before she had become more than a little annoyed with the constant chatter about Hogwarts Hosts and Wonderous Tea, also known as HHAWT. It was an interesting concept, a concept that she was reluctantly drawn to for the prospect of a tame chance at a polite tea party. Interesting and yet strangely uncomfortable in the way that it was described- served by students, aiming to embody personas that appealed to the student body.

She was not going to attend- well, that was her plan at first. However, the very day before the event was set to debut, Astrea had received an owl bearing an invitation to grace the HHAWT meet with her presence by a particular Aurelia Notrésvace. The fellow old-money aristocrat was someone whom Astrea had a surprisingly good deal in common with and just on that side of being a pleasure to talk to that she felt less like an idiot and more like a fellow associate. The polite invitation had given her something to look forward, an excuse to fill up her time with good food and better company, and so Astrea had naturally accepted without another thought.

So it came the day of the gathering and Astrea had carefully dressed in a nice pink dress directly after her afternoon classes in preparation for the meetup, the lacy article having been tucked neatly in her trunk long ago, left untouched for the winter and cold to the touch when she finally unearthed it. A simple outfit, more simple and casual than she might have worn otherwise, but otherwise acceptable for the occasion- she was there to accompany a friend for tea, nothing else.

It was near the time that had been writ on her invitation when Astrea made her way to the rehearsal room, the fourth-floor corridors thankfully near-deserted by the random stragglers that seemed to wander the halls with reluctant purpose. Before long, the Slytherin had pushed the doors open and stepped inside, the smell of fresh roses and tea swirling around her almost as much as the surprising trickle of red petals that float past her before hitting the dark wood door with gentle taps. It was an aesthetically pleasing sight, purposefully dreamlike and delicate, something that was a welcome change from the frankly nauseating neon pink that had accompanied the Valentine's Day Tea Party just a few months ago.

Her attention turned from her surroundings to a lone person standing near the entrance's doorway, light brown hair spilling over a pretty blue dress belonging to an even prettier person. Just the person whom she was looking for. The other seemed somewhat reluctant to be in the room, and Astrea was sure that she would have felt much the same if she was in Aurelia's same position. The heiress made her way over, shoes clicking on the floor and the beginnings of a polite smile gracing her as she stopped. "Aurelia. Good afternoon."

As soon as Saskia spoke, Lamik knew that he was going to stay at least for a little while. Sure, he had no idea what was going on, but something about her voice... and her face... and her everything... made him feel like everything was perfectly normal. Perfectly... Safe. At first, Saskia gave him the impression that the club was a sort of tea-focused-restaurant. The wording also implied that they would try to cheer him up- maybe they would chat a bit? Whatever it was, saskia seemed to be acting as a... Waiter... Of sorts. Then she made an implication that made his heart skip a beat.

A light blush crept onto Lamiks face, something that was extremely rare for the boy. "Romance...?" He asked to no one but himself. Lamik wasn't entirely sure if he had heard the girl correctly, and even less sure what she would mean by it. Was the point of the club romance, or did she want to do romantic stuff? Either way, it wouldn't be polite to refuse... Or something like that. "No, no... The romance is good... If that's what you want to do, we can do the romance." A very childish grin formed on Lamiks face. Some part of him knew why he felt what he felt, but that didn't really matter at the moment.

Much to her surprise, she was wrong about her initial assumption. He did want to ‘do the romance’, as he put it. Then again, there wasn’t much of an alternative way of phrasing what they were supposed to be doing. The closest thing she could really call this was a date, and even then, could it really be called one? She supposed it technically could be in this scenario.

She had to process what this meant. As simple as this should have been, there were still some things she had to consider. On one hand, she had Lamik’s undivided attention and interest, and essentially earned one more client for the host club. She wasn’t sure if he’d go out of his way to talk to other people about the club, but having him as a client was good enough for now. But that uneasiness was still there. She wasn't sure what it was, but all she knew was that her heart was beating a little heavier in her chest. She could have easily chalked it up to nerves from having her first client, but it was no coincidence that she had that same feeling every time he was there. She would have been stupid to not sense the pattern by now, but there were also some things she would rather bury at the back of her mind.

But she did have to admit, she had never seen him blush like that before. She didn't think he was the type to get that embarrassed, but maybe the romance vibes in the room were getting to him. Either way, it was adorable seeing him like this. She wasn't even sure if this was going to be the last time she would see him blush either. Still, she wasn't going to let that go unnoticed.

“I didn’t think you'd be such a hopeless romantic. But don’t worry, I’ll keep that between the two of us. Besides, it's cute. I'm not judging,” she teased, grinning back at him. The more she talked, the more it distracted from her own feelings. That was good. Now she was just curious to know how long Lamik would have lasted.

Not wasting another moment, she took him by the hand, letting her fingers fold over his. This was definitely not something she would normally do with him, and under normal circumstances, she probably would have never done it. But if he asked for romance, then that was what they were going to do. The only effort she had to take right now was to make sure her heart didn't end up spazzing out of control. Perhaps the walk to the tables would have distracted her.

“This way, then.”

Chicken- forgot to put a ref, sorry <3
Mildred watched as the petals floated through the air and the only thing that came to mind was, "Can I eat this?" She shrugged, curiosity killed the cat did it not? however, Mildred wasn't a cat- at least, last time she checked she wasn't although it would be cool, she turned around and sighed when there wasn't a tail behind her. She looked at Willow, "Can I eat this?" she held up the flower petal, she should be able to right? she opened her mouth and ate the flower petal.

She coughed a little, struggling to swallow the earthy flavor of the petal but it was alright. She looked back at Willow waiting to listen to her explanation of what random club she had joined, Mildred was a tad taken back when Willow had curtsy at her- something she thought she'd never see Willow do, was she supposed to curtsy back? isn't that proper manners? She half attempted a curtsy back at Willow- although it was an awful attempt since she was holding Chicken "Oh... I see It's definitely an interesting club!" Mildred was a tad taken back with everything, she wasn't even sure what she should say. She watched as Willow blew a kiss at Chicken, she raised chicken's leg and mimicked Willow, "Muah!"

It was when Annie came over, which shocked Mildred, was everyone joining this club? "Not sure if I'll ever come back, but we shall s-" it was when Annie winked at her and she gasped at her suggestion, while it wasn't the most... suggestive comment, however- she would never do that! sitting on someone's lap... she could feel herself flush a deep red while having listened to Annie, she shrugged to find a response to her. "Uhm.." Thankfully, it seemed Annie's attention was soon captured by someone else- a bright purple-haired female, she silently sent them a small thank you for saving her- although the comment Annie whispered made Mildred blush, even more, she definitely shouldn't have come here.

"I hope Rooster is doing well! and please, your company is always enough!" she nudged Willow, "Wouldn't have wanted to spend my time with anyone else! that would be super cute though, a double date sounds amazing, Will there be snacks?" While certainly seeing Willow act like this was strange, at the same time it was also kind of funny, "Of cou-" It was then soft piano music started playing, Mildred looked around for the source of the music finally spotting someone playing the piano in the corner- almost as if they didn't want to be seen, she wasn't sure though. The one thing she was sure of though was clearly they were gifted at the Piano, she looked back at chicken and them.

Mildred suddenly had a great idea, well often her ideas didn't end so well but it was whatever. "Excuse me for one second, Willow!" She looked at Willows's hand and placed Chicken nub in there for a second before walking off. She walked towards the Piano with chicken, noticing the cat perched on the piano a tad too late- she hoped Chicken wouldn't become the cat's new plaything... upon further inspection, Mildred had actually seen the girl before she believed... in the valentine tea errand. While that disaster of an errand happened only two months ago it felt like it had been ages, when she reached she stood there for a minute afraid to interrupt the girl's beautiful playing- "Excuse me? you play very well..." Mildred assumed that the girl was a host or some sort of worker for the club because she was playing the piano, plus she was wearing an interesting outfit. While Mildred would never wear something like the girl was wearing, she had to agree that it was a nice piece of clothing, "Would you host Chicken?" she held up her stuffed animal, "He's a lovely friend you know? maybe you could teach him piano!" she smiled at the girl, that would actually be amazing, Mildred could go drink tea with Willow and come back and suddenly Chicken was a piano master. "I'm sure you two could have amazing conversations! and," She looked at the girl's animal companion, "Maybe they could be friends? your cat is absolutely beautiful." She placed Chicken next to the girl on the piano bench and waved goodbye to her, "Name's Mildred Wilson! Have fun with Chicken!" with that done, she walked back to Willow.

"Sorry for the wait! I hope you're fine with doing this whole... hosting thing with me alone!" She smiled at Willow, wondering where they would head off too next.

Before Seul could exit the rehearsal room, a presence occluded her path. A boy with messy brown hair stood before her with the most charming smile. Whoever he was, somehow he managed to erase all the embarrassment the girl felt earlier.

"How about we find a seat and we can have a nice talk over some tea and some sweets?"

The boy offered while taking Seul’s hands. She caught the boy’s warm brown eyes and immediately blanked out on her original plan. The austere girl who distanced herself from anyone was caught under the spell of yet another lovely creature. The poor girl couldn’t catch a break. Although she was still completely aware of what was happening, she couldn’t seem to fight off whatever charm the boy has put on her. Seul tried to look away bashfully, but the boy was still too distracting. He certainly wasn’t her type, but there was something so alluring about him. It was almost as if he took away all the anxiety Seul had, left with an oddly warm and tranquil feeling. Perhaps it won’t be such a bad idea to have some tea. The girl replied, “Oh um… I think would love to have some tea with you.” Part of her wanted to push through and leave, but with an uncontrollable charm and the boy blocking the door, she had no choice but to go through with it.

Serena continued looking around the room until she heard a voice speak up and a light touch on her elbow.
“Like a lost little lamb, you appear”
Oh, so it was that obvious then… Turning around, Serena was faced with the Co-Captain of the Gryffindor Quidditch Team, Evelynn Decipio. Serena had seen the red-head on the Quidditch Pitch, but the two had never really talked before. She was just about to ask what was happening in the Rehearsal Room when Evelynn continued.
“By the look in your eyes, it seems as though it was fate, rather than your conscious intent, that led our paths to cross. You have arrived in the midst of the Hogwarts hosts and hostesses. I would humbly welcome you to stay, to sit and converse, and perhaps enjoy some tea and pastries.”
Hosts and hostesses? So…it was a party? Evelynn seemed to be acting a bit…flirty. And in her brief time observing the room, it appeared that the other hosts and hostesses were behaving the same way. Hmm…while a bit flustered, Serena was…oddly intrigued. She decided to accept the other girl’s offer to stay. Besides, tea and pastries sounded nice. And since they had gone all out on the room, hopefully, the same effort was put into the food.

“Alright, I think I can stay for a little while…” She trailed off, a little caught off guard by the attention she was receiving.
“Were those sheets of music that you tucked away just now? “I hope you would forgive me if this comes across presumptuous, but I would consider it a great privilege to hear what melodies might be spun by the ingenuity of these fingers...”
Serena blushed as she nodded her head. The first-year had never been complimented like this before. She…kind-of liked it… Serena realized she should probably say something. She cleared her throat. “Oh, um, t-thank you. And y-yes I was hoping to practice but…” She trailed off as Evelynn’s gray eyes met her own light blue ones. As the girl’s fingertips trailed down her arm, Serena felt her face becoming even redder.
“I assure you, we have not done away with the precious piano. On the contrary..."
Serena let herself be turned around, and there it was…the piano that she came here for. But the Gryffindor’s next request made her face the girl again.

“Oh, I d-don’t know… Y-You’re in the middle of an event, and I-I’d hate to interrupt…” She trailed off once again as she felt her bag been taken off of her shoulder and an unfamiliar boy’s voice in her ear, offering to carry it for her.

She was then turned around by said boy to be met with who Serena assumed was another host. He appeared to be slightly older than her with short brown hair and brown eyes. Again, the two made eye contact. He also expressed a desire to hear her play and again offered up tea and pastries. But all the first-year could focus on was the fact that he was holding her hand. Of course, Serena’s hand had been held before by family members, but not like this. But just as soon as she registered his hand, it was gone.

The mystery boy mentioned if she would rather go with Evelynn. Oh no, there were tears in his eyes! And Serena had to choose? Honestly, she didn’t know who to pick. Both seemed lovely, and the first-year wanted to get to know both of them better. A brief thought of ‘why not hang-out with both?’ popped into her head, but she wasn’t sure if that was allowed. Besides, Serena didn’t want to take two hosts just for herself. It seemed a bit…selfish to the other guests to do that. Gah, why was this so hard?!

Well, she should probably say something instead of just standing there. Just as she opened her mouth to choose, the boy quickly shoved her bag into Evelynn’s arms and left to go talk to another girl who was about to leave.

Oh…that solved that dilemma then. Turning back to Evelynn, she gave an awkward laugh. Um…you don’t have to hold my bag if you don’t want to…” Serena trailed off. “So, uh… about the tea and pastries… W-What do you have?”

Merlin, this was awkward. The first-year had never tried…flirting before. Serena made a mental note to ask Aunt Elizabeth and her mum for some advice in her next owl. Well, first she’d have to make sure her dad wouldn’t see it. She could hear his lecture now about how his precious baby girl was much too young to worry about flirting. Well, what Daddy didn’t know wouldn’t hurt him, right?

This felt weird. This felt pretty wrong. Why did she feel like this? When the girl who introduced herself as Seulrene An, they both looked at one another. Both not sure what to do or what was happening. The dhampir pursed her lips together in a thin line. The crowd in here... It had something nervewrecking. She hadn't had much trouble with these kind of crowds before, but this one in particular... It was weird...

After a while of just staring at one another, one not sure what to ask, the other not sure what the next step was, Seulrene felt like she had to leave. Nico couldn't blame her. It was a mircale that the dhampir didn't burn a hole through the girls head with how long she had been eyeing at her. 'I-...Alright.' Wauw. Nico, you suck at this. How long would it take Shen to notice that she was ruining the vibes of clients? WHY WAS SHE EVEN WORRYING ABOUT CLIENTS. SHE'S HECKING 12... Sigh.

Feeling a certain guilt pull on her, Nico looked back over to Quinn. His shadow looming on her. As he complimented her, her guilt washed away. A humble warm smile sliding on her face as she continued to twirl her hair around her finger. 'Thank you. I.. I tried my best to... Look good.' Her eyes then noticed a slender form, sitting next to Quinns head. 'Oh! Irene. You came too!' Carefully, Nico got up, trying to reach for the Silver Queen. But... Gosh darnit. Quinn was tall. 'I... I'll pet you once I can..' Nico looked over her shoulder at the satin seat she just sat in. '... let Quinn sit down. - Quinn. Would you like to try the couch? It's really soft. And big enough to support your back.' It did. Why she felt so happy for a seat to be perfectly sized to be rather comfy to a Half-Giant boy, was a mystery to her. Except no. It wasn't a mystery. Even though the school ceilings were up high and the rooms were spacious... Seats were usually... not customised for special cases. Nico called dibs on this luxurous one. If they were going to have a chat, might aswell make it comfortable.
