Private Roleplay between Anastasia Beckett and @Lamik Fillestar
Location: Hogwarts Courtyard
Date: 31 March 2020
Time: 5:00 p.m.
Coffee.
That was Ana's sole thought as she powerwalked through the courtyard. She was still waking up far too early for her tastes, so she had taken to consuming more coffee than was probably healthy. Her parents had scolded her quite a bit about that while they'd been traveling, but she honestly could care less at this particular point in time. Coffee was the thing that would make sure she stayed on top of school and thus had the chance to get herself on the Quidditch team. For some reason, there hadn't been any Quidditch the past year, so this was the girl's first opportunity to even tryout. While she was very invested in her education, it was at least, in part, because of the fact that she had to do well in her classes to be an Auror or a professional Quidditch player.
Not that Quidditch was her only goal in life, but it was kind of her only goal in life. At the moment, anyway.
While her thoughts were occupied with Quidditch, her eyes wandered. As though her thoughts had summoned him, she took note of a boy reading a book on Quidditch players. Recognizing the cover, she knew that her mother was mentioned in the book. That was one of the few aspects in wish she hoped to emulate her mother - being called "one of the most promising young Quidditch players of our age". Except, she certainly wouldn't quit when she got married. She just wouldn't marry if that's what it took. Or maybe, just not marry someone who forced her to abandon her career. Anastasia Beckett was a force of nature and no man was going to change that. As she had these thoughts, she realized she had kept her eyes on the boy's book and quickly glanced away, hoping she didn't seem creepy.

Lamik had only tasted coffee once in his life and had hated it with a passion ever since. No amount of caffeine could make the terrible, terrible taste worth it, so the boy decided that if he wanted an energy boost he would just drink a bottle of sweet sweet Coca Cola. At this point in time though, Lamik wasn't really feeling the need for a sugary drink of goodness. No, he was wide awake, reading the book in his hands with an amount of focus unbefitting for a boy who really didn't care about quidditch. Yes, he was the Gryffindor seeker, but other then school games that he himself played in, Lamik wasn't really a fan of the sport, not enough to warrant reading a brick of a book about various quidditch players, at least.
Hearing footsteps slowly get louder as somebody walked by, Lamik looked up. It took him a few moments, but eventually, the Gryffindor recognized the girl who had looked away just as he noticed her presence. "Ana... Anastasia... right?" He said slowly. Lamik had only really met Ana a year earlier, where he had a brief conversation with her that had ended rather abruptly about pens. He knew she was a Prefect, but not much else. Maybe this would be a good opportunity to get to know the girl better.

@Lamik FillestarAs she glanced away from the boy, she heard him speak. Turning back towards him, she raised an eyebrow. "Yes, the one and only," she replied brightly. That wasn't technically accurate - there were enough Anas and Anastasias at Hogwarts that she could probably form an army of them and take over Hogwarts. Oh, she liked that idea. She mentally filed that thought away for another day, since she was too busy at the moment to be starting any uprisings. Focusing back on the matter at hand, she realized she did, in fact, know this boy. Now, what was his name? It was odd and started with an L, she remembered that much. Lollypop? Limothey? Lickemaid? Lasik? Wait, no, it was Lamik!
"And you're Lamik, yes?" she asked. She hoped that was right and that this poor boy wasn't actually named something like Loliver. She didn't think she could seriously hold a conversation with someone with a name like that. She was fairly certain his name was Lamik though. She vaguely remembered meeting once in the Common Room at an absurd hour, but she couldn't remember much else about him. She remembered he was a Gryffindor, but that didn't actually help her much since she could tell that much from his uniform and the fact that they had met in the Common Room.
