In this game, it was dangerous without allies especially for someone like Alan. With every peripheral stood an opponent. As the game began, Alan took a courageous albeit risky decision by playing as one man for himself. His first spell was launched at Bridget. They Gryffindor clearly saw the girl's potential in the last game. A worthy opponent. And worthy did the Slytherin prove she was as, even though barely, she dodged Alan's carefully aimed knockback jinx, the lightning blue light of the spell breezed past the girl's brown hair before leaving a shallow depression on the dirt not too far away.

writing on a critically failed evasion roll Anastasia's long time enemy, Aurelia, was quick to cast a spell at her. Anastasia was quick to react ... perhaps a tad bit too swiftly. Dodging the older year's spell casting was her main intention, however, the Gryffindor would find herself tripping over her own feet and nosediving into the lush pasture and a receiving a mouthful of the freshest healthy green grass salad. "Oh, for fu-" lovely was her face but not so much her choice of words, thankfully, for any innocent eleven-year-olds in the vicinity (if there were even any), the blue light of the tongue-tying curse contacted with her chin and seemed to disperse into fair skin and instantaneously silencing the Gryffindor. Unless one had a really long tongue, tongues were not supposed to be tied. So the whole order happening within the girl's mouth was not much of a pleasant experience. S

From the last game, Astrea proved to be one of the better skilled in spell casting. Surprisingly, the fellow pureblood aristocrat opted for a less offensive spell to attack her chosen target, none other than Ruthie Greer. The Slytherin seemed to have gotten the vibes from her upperclassman on which little clique to attack. They were a team of three, and was a threat to their - perhaps impending - victory. The girl's sneezing hex was cast flawlessly, so was the Ravenclaw's spell, but from the sneezes that followed it was clear which of the two had better aim.

The last encounter Anastasia and Aurelia had was nothing short of typical teenage drama. In fact, most, if not all, of the encounters went along those lines. As a third-year, Aurelia had a fair share of enemies and the younger Gryffindor was definitely one on the list. Within the first few seconds of the game, Aurelia made it her abhorrence towards the girl clear as she sent a spell her way only for her opponent plunged into the grass face first. It was quite a sight to see. S

Upon noticing the Gryffindor boy raising his wand at her did Bridget cast a spell in return. The knockback jinx was only so close to hitting the girl, fortunately for Bridget, she remained unscathed as her won spell shot forth from her wand towards the Gryffindor. However, the third year had been swift to move out of its way.

Being a lone wolf was no fun, as Emma was quick to realise, unlike the other Gryffindor boy. She stuck close to a friend (who?) almost in a way, back to back. Surprisingly, Emma had not targetted her long time enemy but rather a fellow quidditch captain, Rafael D'Spacito. One could only fathom why that was the case. Perhaps the drop-dead handsome Rafael posed more a threat than her long time enemy did. Her spell was carefully chosen, what could one do in this game without being able to see? Not much really. The spell was cast at the younger boy's whose was sprinting towards the quaffle on the ground. Although her spell casting was good, and the piece of cloth wrapped around his dashing [pun intended sry not sry] face, the blindfold had not quite blinded the boy as the black fabric was bound too loosely. Nevertheless, it did something. S

Writing on a critical fail due to Astrea's presence
Oof, was one way to put it. The wretched gut-twisting feeling was prominent, reeking from the scary Slytherin and into the air around. A sudden bout of fear washed over the Griffindor as she casted the tickling charm at Rafael, causing her concentration to falter. Before she oculd even register what was happening, she got the taste fo her very own medicine. The spell had backfire on the tiny Gryffindor.

Pericles knew his manners, it was no surprise given that he was a pureblood. The Ravenclaw must as well be in Gryffindor as chivalrously guarded the older year's back as the two advanced towards the nearest ball. Fortunately, the short travel was safe and no spell flew in their direction. Now their only goal was to obtain the ball, they were not the only ones who had the same idea in mind. S

Writing on a partial hit= contested equal. Karma was at Rafael's heels, choosing to finally make him pay for the many escapades and chaos he had done in life in that very moment or perhaps for being too hot for the world, an unnecessary contribution to global warming, maybe. Within the first few minutes into the game, he had become the target of not one but three spells. Sure, karma was against him but luck was on his side. Out of the three spells, one of which had backfired, the other which had simply failed. The spell by the Ravenclaw captain had hit him, and a black cloth wrapped around his head loosely. But still gave Rafael a little glimpse of light and the ball in front of him. Sure, the blindfold obstructed him, if only a little, he was still able to see. S

The once mischievous smile on Katrina's face melted to one of dread as something went wrong. There was something odd in the air. A wave of fright crashed down on her. When she wasn't paying attention, her spell hit her square in the chest.
It was the oddest sensation. There was a prickling dread at the nape of her neck, while she was dying of laughter. Katrina quickly held it in and tried to ignore the shaking and spasming of her diaphragm. She pushed the deep guffaws up to smaller giggles. Those, however horrible to the ear, where much easier to bear. Anyone who knew Katrina would be shocked to see the smile on her face, let alone the laughs slipping through her tight lips, but this was the best she could do at the moment.
She somewhat regained her composure, and looked around her arena. There was one girl that seemed very menacing. If anything, Katrina would be glad to get rid of the girl. It almost seemed like she had been the one who had caused the primeval fear in Katrina, but that was impossible. Despite her inner conflict, Katrina raised her wand, stifling another bout of laughter, and centered her focus on the scary girl.
Time to get rid of her once and for all, "Flipendo!" Katrina spoke as clearly as she could before another snicker escaped her. With any luck, that girl being gone would give Katrina the chance to steal the win for this game.

Tag: @Evelynn DecipioA yellow fire dances in its stone hearth, illuminating a dark common room in the West tower. The flames lick the air and the wood crackles in this otherwise quiet place. Sitting on a blue couch with a metal bowl in his lap is a boy in his pajamas. Jorah is transfixed by the flickering flames, enjoying the warmth on his toes as he stretches his legs out in front of him. Its nearing midnight and he should be upstairs sleeping with the others, but Jorah feels most alive after dark. This is the only time a night owl like him can be alone. Jorah savors his solitude with a few sugary treats. He reaches into the bowel for a sticky caramel and struggles to free the candy from its plastic wrapper. The hard candy lives up to its name, leaving a sticky residue on his fingertips as he pops it into his mouth. The caramel flavor envelops his tongue as the candy slowly dissolves in his mouth. He probably shouldn’t be having sweets so close to bedtime. He knows his mom wouldn’t approve, but what’s a bit of sugar when you’ve been stabbed by a knife. Jorah fishes a chocoball out of the bowl and places it between his teeth. He crunches down, feeling his molars sink through the shell but stopping at hard center. What the?… Jorah continues chewing, but there’s something hard that shouldn’t be there.
He pulls the candy from his mouth, but in his hand, he holds a bloody severed toe. His fingers, once sticky from sugar are now sticky with half coagulated blood. The bowl of treats, now a horrible collection of severed toes and fingers. Jorah screams awake! He blinks his surroundings into focus, finding himself back in his bed. Jorah had thought it would be a good idea to take a nap before the Swag club game, but judging by how dark his dormitory was, he had overslept. Already dressed, the boy threw on his shoes and rushed downstairs. He ducked into the Great Hall grabbing a silver platter of sweet and spicy chicken wings encircled by garlic roasted potatoes. Jorah threw a few coffeecakes on the platter, taking it, several napkins, and a flagon of pumpkin juice with him. The boy carefully carried his stolen goodies down to the Whomping Willow. As he had suspected, the game had begun without him. No matter, at least he would have a chance to eat. Jorah spotted Evelynn sitting along the outskirts of the playing ground and writing in a book. “Hey Ev, you hungry? I brought dinner,” he said plopping down in the grass next to her, setting his food and drink before him. Chicken wing already in hand, “What did I miss?”

Missing Astrea was bad luck. The second year was swift and cunning, a strong representation of the house to which she belonged. In fact, Ruthie wished she could become that nimble one day. Despite this, there was no denying that she had produced another beautiful piece of magic. Although it had not hit her target, the spell lifted effortlessly from her wand. It had been so elegant. Before SWAG, she did not know she was capable of creating great magic. Her time here had given her confidence she would go on to do great things.
But the time for philosophizing was cut short as her young body was suddenly overcome with a strong bout of sneezing. The Slytherin's spell, a simple Steleus charm, had hit her square in the chest. It didn't have the impact of a dodgeball, but she feared it might affect her ability of focus on spell-casting. But she wouldn't waste an opportunity. She was a brilliant spell-caster, whether sneezing or unscathed. Looking around the field, she trying to look for her next target. The obvious choice was Astrea in a moment of revenge. Or perhaps even Aurelia as she'd gone after Ana earlier. But instead, Ruthie would focus her vision on someone who had recently arrived onto the pitch with chicken wings. He was the boy she'd nearly killed; the boy she'd avoided while struggling with PTSD; the boy who'd created a distance of his own making; and the boy who was done getting under her skin.
Now on her feet again, she raised her wand. After a single sneeze, she flick her wand with exquisite care and let out the fierce incantation, "Flipendo!"

Bridget didn't have the luxury of watching her Blindfolding Spell's path to her target. She saw the spell leave her wand, but it might as well have blindfolded the moon and she wouldn't know. All that mattered was avoiding the blue light streaking towards her that would send her flying should it hit. And avoid it she did, her speed and nimbleness aiding her evasion of the Knockback Jinx.
Now that she was out of the spell's path, Bridget looked up to see the Gryffindor boy not at all blindfolded. Honestly, she didn't want to waste her time fighting him. Several other players were nearing the balls and getting caught up in a scuffle if it could be avoided wasn't a good strategy. "I won't target you if you don't target me," she called to the older boy. A truce. She wasn't sure he'd keep it, but if he targeted her again, Bridget wouldn't hesitate to leave him vomiting slugs.
To show she was serious about the truce, the Slytherin took off running, making her way closer to the balls and circle of rocks. This way, she'd be better equipped to steal a ball, and, in her opinion, it was easier to dodge if you didn't have to worry about someone behind you. Maybe being near the edge was risky, but it was a gamble she was willing to take.

The third year had cast the spell with success and watched as it rushed towards the girl, who however was able to dodge it at last second as it seemed. He however had his own worries, as the girl did not want to give in easily and had hurled a spell at him in return. He ducked away before it could even get close to him and grinned brightly. This was proving to be fun already! He heard her say something and nodded in confirmation of her offer; he could definitely do that. It was good to have one opponent less for now.
The young Gryffindor took a look around on the field to see who else would be there and his sight fell onto a boy who did not seem like he knew what he was doing at all [Pierre]. Alan would have felt too bad for targeting him, if he was already struggling with the game itself and let his eyes wander further, until he caught sight of the person in charge of this event. He had not really interacted with her before, but this would be a nice start, wouldn't it be? "Rictusempra!", he would attempt to cast at her, barely able to remember the surname of the girl that her house elf kept mentioning.
Hopefully this time his spell would be more successful, but in the end this was all about having fun and so far he did just that. He was glad to have one person less to worry about and hoped that the kid had been serious about not attacking him again. Alan would leave her alone for now until she decided to break the truce, because obviously he still needed to defend himself!

Having no interest in his handouts, the lioness would have to decline the lads kind gesture. The help he was offering was not the help she wanted or needed. She kept her attention on the task at hand. This game was not "just a game". This was a test.
A very important test at that. This was a test of determination. A test to see how far she could push this boy. The lioness trusted the bird enough to turn her back to him; she hoped that it would not be a choice that cost her. The duo made their way across the field of play, with little to no trouble. If she were being honest she didn't entirely understand his logic of both of them winning, even if one got out, but she went with it. Serving only herself for the majority of her life, she had nearly forgotten what it was like to work as a team. That was evident when she would start to wander away from the boy following her.
She caught on to what she was doing, and quickly stopped herself; before turning to meet his silver stare. Well, tried to anyways. His quirky little goggles obscured is hues. "I must admit, I was never all too good at ssspell casting. So if you were thinking of leaving me, I sssuggest you do it now." She confessed. Spells were not her strong suit indeed, seeing that she tried to avoid using them when she could. But now that she thought of it, she didn't exactly have a "strong suit" in general. "If not- well, follow me over here then." There would be a slight shift in her demeanor, as she allowed some of her confidence to take the reins. She would skitter to a spot where she had a clearer view of where everyone was.
Assuming he followed, she would begin to analyze the field. She didn't want to go for a ball yet, she needed to thin the herd first. "Don't get too close to the edge. We can head back towards the middle when there are less people." She quickly scanned each face, but her gaze fell onto Aurelia. A slender finger would point the way to her roommate. "Her. Don't touch her or the girl she attacked. Aurelia can be a determined person, and if that other girl is anything like her, they will most likely fight until one gets out." Her eyes bounced to another face two actually- the "allies" of the two girls. One of which- the boy, was already moving to the range the Gryffindor and Ravenclaw duo, were in. "Don't touch the boy, or the black haired girl either."
She chewed the inside of her cheek, her daggers falling on one girl who entered their range. "Its best to pick someone they wont defend." The lioness pointed her wand in the direction of a pale, red headed girl. "Like her." The girl was one of the few who did not have a partner. It made the girl an easy target. "Flipendo." Firm. Confident. However, there was a hint of reluctance in her echoey voice. Slight remorse.

The magical instrument in her palm grew warm as the incantation left her lips before propelling the spell towards Anastasia, the sudden aggression had caught the other brunette off guard. It had been too late when Anastasia noticed the spell coming her way and with the greatest extent of grace one could have when tripping over their own two feet, her victim stumbled and faceplanted into the grass. It was hilarious to watch the fall play out, a sight that evoked a familiar but deprived feeling deep within her abdomen, one of ecstasy. A broad lovely smile which revealed her perfectly lined pearly whites framed her face before the laugh left her lungs, pitched and genuine. Aurelia could not remember when she last had a good laugh.
The feeling was short-lived and the lighter diminished as quickly. Her main priority was the game, the spell had shut the other Gryffindor up and it was all she intended to give her. The alluring pair of blue-grey eyes scanned vicinity. The corners of her lips rising slightly to send her Slytherin partner a smile of approval at her flawless casting. The Slytherin's casting was at non-other than Ruthie Greer, one from Anastasia's team, the other being the Gryffindor quidditch captain. They were a big threat, but so was Astrea and herself.
Having had a few encounters with Rafael, none of which Aurelia enjoyed - except for the part which she had drugged him and had him under her charm - Aurelia knew this character fairly well. If she could just get the impulsive boy to take his mind of the game, or perhaps even all of them if only just in the slightest way, Team Ana would stand less of a chance against both of them. Aurelia was not in the house of green, nevertheless, still possessed what most might perceive as Slytherin traits. Her strategy was to confuse opponents; wherever was her loyalty truly laid? Nothing less should be expected for the S.W.A.G club president herself."Better watch your back, D'Spacito dear." Aurelia called out to the Gryffindor boy who had been attacked in almost all directions. The endearment was purposefully implied, the way she had used on Hugh Lowe in away was unlikely to have gone unnoticed by fan-girl Anastasia.
Then, gripping onto her wand, she levelled her wand, this time, at the few players who were around Rafael, close to the ball. The fact that Xailah pointed at her was questionable. However, things bout the Occamy Perch was awkward enough and the last thing she wanted was to create more tension with a single spell, therefore Xailah was exempt from her wrath. Instead, Aurelia focused her attention on the unfamiliar boy standing next to the metamorph; a newcomer. Consider this an unofficial greeting into her club, "Flipendo," the incantation of the first-year spell left her lips expeditiously.
"The ball. It's right in front of you, D'Spacito." Aurelia informed the blinded Gryffindor. Briefly, the Gryffindor third year glanced sideways in her comrade's direction, a single inconspicuous bat of her right eye and a smirk playing on her lips. Aurelia was not one of many friends for many had disappointed her over the past, most of which left the school without a word. But Astrea was different, with her, the camaraderie between them felt professional yet genuine, a sort that was not easy to come by. The only drawback being the dhampir-like aura that hung heavily in the air surrounding whenever she was present. Though Aurelia was well aware, given her skill on magic and her ancestry, that Astrea was no monster.

Suddenly the action was on for full. River Barely had the time to think before spells were flung across the area and people began moving toward their targets. As far as she’d understood, some people were working together, something she had not anticipated. The ravenclaw was going solo, and did she have a plan at all? No she did not, and at this point her overwhelmed senses did their best to keep out of the way of any incoming spells or attacks.
River’s grip around her wand shifted, of course magic was always an option for her too. Though she regretted not making some sort of plan before going into this, deciding a spell and a target would take too long in this situation, she’d need to do something else.
Usually River would go into things with a pretty good idea planned out of what she’d want to do. A battle plan one might call it. But she had not found the time to think about this before the day was suddenly here, and now she was in the middle of it with no battle plan to support her.
There was one ball present not too far away from her, she contemplated going for it, but decided to go for a more defensive stand. She could hear her heartbeat drumming in her ears.
Rather than run and take off indirection of the ball, she would simply stand her ground and keep eyes out in case she’s need to jump out of the way of something or someone.action || Attempt to evade

Anastasia was furious. More than furious. She had a mouth full of grass and falling had bruised her ego as much as anything else. She shot up from the ground, ready to tell Aurelia exactly what she thought of the other girl's laughing at her. The brunette unleashed a filthy torrent of curse words that would have scarred anyone younger than her and also probably any parent that overheard. Except, nothing came out. SERIOUSLY? She'd face-planted AND still been hit by the stupid spell? Her tongue was doing something very uncomfortable that she assumed was it trying to tie itself into a knot. That was bloody brilliant. It hurt more than she'd expected and she couldn't curse. It was like her worst nightmare.
She could still hear Aurelia's stupid cackles and was on the verge of tackling the foul tart. Still, the girl wasn't just in this to pummel the other girl. She didn't need the context of a game for that. No, she was going to control herself and win this. Still, as she tried to rein in her murderous thoughts, she couldn't resist flipping Aurelia a finger sign that was also not something any parents would want to think about her doing. She clenched her jaw, inhaled, and shot a death glare at the older Gryffindor while she tried to form a plan. Rafa was in the second circle but didn't have the ball yet. That left Ruthie close enough to get a solid hit on Astrea or Aurelia. As she turned to the other girl to try to communicate that, the Ravenclaw let out a blast towards some audience member. Ana made a face at her that communicated her confusion.
Whelp, there went that idea.
She supposed she would just have to go for one of the balls, and hope that this stupid curse wore off quickly. Not only was it mildly painful and irritating, but it was also a handicap since she couldn't cast anything if she couldn't talk. It wasn't ideal, since she was far more powerful magically than she was physically, but she wasn't a complete weakling either yes she is. Years of Quidditch and ballet meant that she was fast when she needed to be.
Shooting the nasty Aurelia one more death glare, she pivoted and sprinted into the second circle of stones, planning to attempt to grab one of the balls.
