"Oh, here! You can have him back if you'd like, I don't want to hog your pet!" Rosie said, holding out the spider to offer him back to Paris.
The silence was beginning to make her feel uncomfortable, but she didn't know if she should break it or not. Paris seemed to be looking out at the countryside, and Rosie did the same. The beauty of the view never ceased to amaze her.
She noticed the girl twisting a braid around her finger, but decided not to ask about it. She had her own little fidgets and habits for when she was feeling anxious, and didn't want to stress Paris out if she was feeling like that.
She thought about how it would feel to finally be back home. She'd miss school, but she also missed her parents, and couldn't wait to see them. And Murphy, of course. That little stinker would probably take up most of her time demanding her to pet him with his goofy little face, and she would probably cave because he was too adorable for her not to.
She thought of how different her pet(or, well, her family pet) was from Paris's spider. She found both cute, but in different ways. A huge fluffy dog versus a small crawly spider.
