A little lost?

Once upon a time, it was a peaceful and quiet Saturday morning. Wait a minute here… Saturday morning? Olivia opened her eyes. It wasn't Saturday today, it was an ordinary Thursday. The sun was already high in the sky and the clock showed… hell. Olivia flew out of bed, she was late, she had overslept.
She quickly put on a shirt, pants, socks, shoes, she didn't bother tying her tie. Then she ran a hand through her very messy hair, oh well, it had to do. She grabbed her bag, threw down the half-done potions homework and a half-eaten Mars bar.
Then she hurried down the stairs in Gryffindor Tower and out through the portrait hole. Breakfast must have ended ages ago. She turned a corner and almost ran straight through a ghost. She dodged at the last moment and continued to spin.
Olivia cursed herself all the way down the stairs. Of course she had potions lying at the bottom of the dungeons. Now she was on the third floor. Then she rounded a corner and… BANG! Of course she had run straight into someone.
“Jeez,” Olivia said, grabbing the other’s shoulder to steady them both. “Sorry, I didn’t see you,” Olivia continued, breathing hard after the rush. She looked up at the other’s face and saw a Hufflepuff girl. “Are you okay? I didn’t hurt you, did I?” Olivia asked, releasing the girl’s shoulder.

A little lost?
As Alexis walked through the corridor she had found by pure chance carrying a list of classes with notes on where they supposedly were, granted it wasn't very exact since she'd had a random fourth year in her house write it down. She had wound up outside the moving staircases and back tracked several times while trying to find the Charms classroom taught by Professor Townsend who she's now hoping is lenient on lates.
As she turned around Bang! Straight into another student, Alexis stumbled back almost dropping her list and extremely overstuffed bag she got to carry her books. She looked up at the other student she's taller probably second or third year definitely a Gryffindor by her robes. Alexis nodded and smiled this isn't something new she always runs into things "Yeah I'm alright, sorry I wasn't paying attention to where I was going." She paused and thought a bit nervous to ask where charms is and look stupid but this is her only chance or she will never know where its at. "Umm... would you perhaps know where I can find the Charms classroom." She holds out her list to show the other girl her directions scribbled down in a margin "I had some fourth year write how to get there down but I think they told me the wrong way or I've got terrible sense of direction either seems plausible... oh! And I'm Alexis Lupen by the way."

Olivia smiled. “Nice to meet you Alexis,” she said, smiling broadly. “My name is Olivia.”
“The charms classroom, hmm?” Olivia muttered, looking down at the list Alexis was holding out. She quickly read through the hastily written instructions. “Well, that’s definitely the wrong way,” Olivia stated with a nod to the paper. “And don’t worry if you can’t find it. To be honest, Hogwarts is huge.”
Olivia looked at her watch, if she was already this late it wouldn’t matter if she was even more late. “I can show you the way, it’s actually pretty close,” Olivia offered and started walking. She hoisted her bag higher on her shoulder and pulled out her half-eaten Mars bar. She needed some breakfast anyway.
The hallways were completely empty. “So,” Olivia began. “My trick for finding my way around my first year was to either find landmarks to where things are or ask a ghost. Most of the ghosts are nice, but make sure you don’t walk right through them.” Olivia shivered at the thought of having a bucket of cold water poured over her. She turned to Alexis again with a smile. “What do you think of Hogwarts so far?” she asked.

Alexis hurries after Olivia, adjusting her overstuffed bag, that has books pokeing out of the top and her wand shoved in, so she doesn't drop it. As she and oliva start down the corridor listening to the advice helpful advice olivia offers. "thats a good idea, its nice, kind of what i expected, just times like a thousand. I've got siblings here so they've told me about it already, but not where classes are. which honestly, would have been a lot more helpful then telling me don't trip on the moving staircases. since well that is already pretty obvious. " she says as they walk down some stairs and around a corner. "so your obviously not a first year. so what year are you?" she asks as they walk (and partially tripping over her new shoes) down what seems like a never ending stone corridor on probably the third floor. a ghost floats by into a wall down the hall infront of them as olivia mentions ghosts, "wait you've walked through a ghost what's it like i bet its dreadful like utterly dreadful." Alexis seems slightly excited and uncomfortable at the thought of walking through a ghost since they seem cool but also freaky.

“I’m a second year,” Olivia replied, smiling. “And I’m in Gryffindor if you haven’t noticed. You’re in Hufflepuff, right? God, I’d love to see what your common room looks like. I’ve heard it’s supposed to be really cozy. Living in a tower has its advantages, but you don’t want to know how hard it is to sleep when there’s a storm.”
She laughed when Alexis asked if she’d walked through a ghost. “Oh, if I have.” She shivered again. “I don’t recommend it. It feels like someone dumped a bucket of ice cold water over you. No, geez, try to avoid walking straight through ghosts.”
They rounded another corner.
“It’s refreshing to talk to some new people,” Olivia continued, crumpling up the now empty March paper. “You Hufflepuffers are very nice, unlike some others. But I won’t be judgmental. Who knows? The next Voldemort might be a nice Hufflepuff.” Olivia snorted at her own thought. Another wizard war, no thanks. Then her father would probably have to intervene and she didn’t want that.
“So what do you think of Charms?” Olivia asked Alexis. “I’m looking forward to next year when I get to read Care about magical creatures, a fascinating subject indeed. My mother was a magical zoologist, you see.” Olivia smiled a slightly sad smile and fingered her bracelet. To her surprise, talking to Alexis was as easy as can be.
