Sunday morning wasn't much quieter than Ava expected. She woke up early and decided to get some breakfast, when her eyes fell on the notice board. On the notice board, there was an urgent help needed. And Ava would love to lend a hand. Though she was still confused about the Hogwarts architecture, she did somehow make it to the greenhouse. The greenhouse was in full bloom due to the start of Spring. Ava liked autumn more, but she could not deny how the spring season made everything beautiful.
Upon arriving at the greenhouse, she saw a group of Bouncing Bulbs bouncing everywhere. The greenhouse was full of chaos. The shelves were broken, and so were the pots. The seer saw the tables outside the greenhouses, laden with cauldrons and ingredients. Ava could not even think about going inside the greenhouses to calm the Bouncing Bulbs. It was just too dangerous for her. So she would rather stay and help brew the potion. Plus, she was better at brewing than attacking or soothing.
She joined the group of kids who stayed back to brew the potion. Taking the ingredients from the bunch, she remembered recently studying about Herbicide Potion and how to brew it. She got 4 Spines of Lionfish, standard ingredients, some horklump juice and 'blobs' of flobberworm mucus. Using the ingredients, she started the process to brew the potion. She noticed Marcella was there too. 'Seems like she also thought the potion brewing was the smarter choice than the other one,' she thinks to herself, as she decides not to interrupt her.
The Ravenclaw started crushing the spines of lionfish in the mortar, crushing them into a rough powder. Putting the standard ingredients into the mix as well, and crushing them roughly. Adding 3 measures of the crushed mixture powder into the cauldron, Ava waved her wand over it and let it brew. While it was taking time to brew, Ava decided to peek inside to see how they were handling the Bouncing Bulbs. She saw a bunch of first-year-looking students helping there.
After letting it brew for enough time, the Ravenclaw put two measures of Horklump juice into the cauldron. The purple juice looked inviting, but Ava knew better than to take a sip of it. She proceeded to heat the cauldron to a medium temperature for a few seconds. Adding two blobs of Flobberworm mucus into it while it's still on the heat, brewing. Finally stirring it four times clockwise, the potion was done. She waved her wand over it to finish it off.
Ava was too tired; she didn't want to take out weeds anymore. Her procrastination was winning over her desire to help others. She poured the potion into a glass vial, keeping it on the table for anyone to use it.

Potions and Herbology quickly became Harumi's favourite subjects after joining Hogwarts, so obviously if she gets a chance to help in the green house or brew a potion, she'll take it instantly, no questions asked.
----So when she passed by the announcement board that day, and she saw the note asking for help in the green house, without much thought she decided to go, she's free, and wouldn't mind helping after all, especially if it included brewing.
----And that's how she ended up infront of the green house. After Harumi saw the tables with the brewing ingredients ready, she decided to first brew the Herbicide potion, then after that is finished, she could help with something else inside the greenhouse.
----Harumi started brewing the potion. "First lion fish spines..." She mumbled as she added 4 spines of lion fish to the mortar and crushed it. "Next, the standard ingredient..." She continued, then added two measures of standard ingredient to the mortar and crushed them. She then prepared the cauldron and added 3 measures of the mixture to the cauldron, and waved her wand then let it brew.
----Now that she's free for a while, she decided to go help inside the greenhouse while the potion brews, she left a note on the table saying that, so that nobody assumes this potion was abandoned.
----After entering the greenhouse, Harumi realised this was far worse than she expected. She decided to try calming and reseeding the Bouncing Bulbs one by one. She looked at the first Bouncing Bulb and took out her wand. "Flipendo!" She said, the bouncing Bulb now knocked back and calm, Harumi went ahead and reseeded it.
----For the next 45 minutes that's all she did, calming bouncing Bulbs and reseeding them, but after the time passed, she quickly returned to the brewing table and started the next part. She added two measures of Horklump juice then heated it to medium heat for 10 seconds, then she added two blobs of Flobberworm mucus while the cauldron is still on the heat, finally, she stirred the potion four times and waved her wand. The potion was finally done. "I'm finished." She announced to herself rather than anyone in particular.
----Having finished, she filled a flask with the potion and then entered the greenhouse again, she made her way to the weed overgrowth. She opened the flask and started applying the potion on the harmful weeds making sure not to accidentally apply it on any other plants.
----After using up all the potion she brewed, she decided to go ahead and help reseed the rest of the Bouncing Bulbs, otherwise they'll probably ruin everyone's work again.

Today was a beautiful spring day, perfect for a stroll around campus and then the grounds. Scarlet had been waiting for the spring so that she could get back to her walks and the nature. Spring, with the flowers blooming had always been her favorite time of year. Scarlet exited the Great Hall after finishing a delicious but speedy breakfast. Before heading outside she noticed a new slip on the announcement board. She was very strict about making sure she kept up with everything so she walked up to the board and read the message.
Immediate help needed in the Greenhouse.
That was all Scarlet needed to read in order to decide she would be heading straight there. Her nature walk could be rescheduled, this seemed much more important. She headed towards the Greenhouse in a hurry, hoping to get there while she could still be of help. As she approached, she could already hear thumps and crashes coming from inside. Scarlet was worried so she quickened her pace and pushed open the doors.
Upon entering, Scarlet saw Bouncing Bulbs "bouncing" all throughout the greenhouse. They were jumping from table to table, knocking into anything and everything. Scarlet looked around and noticed that there were already several students that had come to the rescue and yet it still was chaos. There were students casting spells, brewing potions, and even pulling weeds. Scarlet thought it would be best for her to help with brewing the Herbicide Potion since she had not yet learned the spells required to help. She found an available cauldron and began to brew.
Remembering the instructions from her Herbology class, she crushed 4 spines of lion fish, followed by 2 measurements of Standard Ingredients and crushed that as well. She then took 3 measurements of the crushed mixture and added it to her cauldron before waving her wand over the brew.
Unfortunately, the next step was to wait so in the meantime she helped other students collect ingredients, as well as, pull weeds. Scarlet did whatever she thought she could do to help. After an hour passed, she returned to her cauldron and added 2 measure of Horklump juice and heated the brew to a medium temperature for only 10 seconds. While the cauldron was still on the heat, she added 2 blobs of Flobberworm mucus and stirred clockwise 4 times. To complete the potion, she waved her wand over the cauldron again.
"Whew", Scarlet said as she wiped some sweat off her forehead. She then proceeded to use the Herbicide Potion she made on the Bouncing Bulbs. In need of more, Scarlet grabbed some more ingredients and went to do it all over again. She had already been there for over an hour but she had a feeling she would be there for much longer.

Permission to godmod Olivia has been given.────────────────────────Max was having a slow morning. Those were always his favorite. Staying in between for a little while before enjoying a long breakfast. It was in the great hall he first heard of the notice being posted, requesting help in the greenhouses. Curiosity easily got the better of him as he grabbed his last piece of toast and headed to the notice board. It sounded like a disaster worthy of the name. He only waited long enough for a sprint to Gryffindor tower to get his trusted gloves before he headed out.
On the way out the door, he managed to convince one Olivia Evans to come with. She was hesitant. Max did his best to assure her that she would do great. Little did he know that it was his company that made her skeptical. But no matter, on to the greenhouses!
He took one look at the tables set up outside for potion brewing and shook his head. If he were to go that route of helping, the amount of people needed would surely double. He stopped for a moment anyway, turning to Olivia. «I think I’m heading inside to do what I can. Don’t really know how much use we’ll be, but it couldn’t hurt, right?» The thumps and crashes coming from inside was already loud from where they were standing.
Heading inside, he quickly joined the ranks of the others just taking in the chaos. It was everywhere, and it was massive in scale. Bulbs were bouncing all over the place. From table to table, up and down the walkways, knocking over plants in its wake. Some were already trying to calm the bouncing bulbs by spells or by sheer will. Others were pulling weeds that seemed to have shot up and were growing in unnatural speed. He pulled on his gloves while his mind spun.
He was trying to make a decision on where he would be the most useful, when it was made for him. A particularly spicy bulb was about to jump right onto his companion. Without thinking, he threw himself on top of it. It was not graceful in any way, but at least he managed to hold on. «I… I thinking should try to calm and replant this one first!» He said in the direction of Olivia through gritted teeth while he struggled for control.
Calming a bouncing bulb by hand had seemed way easier in his head. He shushed it a little, while he tried to offer comforting pets. Pure pressure seemed to do more, but he felt that just flinging himself on top of them without any comforting, was rather mean.
Having managed to get control of this first one, he carefully got to his feet while maintaining his grip. He carefully moved across the space to a spot set up for replanting. He placed the calmed bulb in a sizable pot and filled soil on all sides before petting it down. The bulb was now calm and well nestled.
He drew a bit of a shaky breath. The situation seemed to slowly get under control. The weeds were being pulled and sprinkled with potion, and several bouncing bulbs were being calmed. He shot a look at Olivia as she got in a nice hit on one of the bulbs. «Nice one!» He grinned before he turned his attention back to his own work. Taking aim, he leapt on top of another.

Emergency WeedingIt was a bright Sunday morning and a certain young Gryffindor was feeling very cheerful. Spring was one of Laasya's favorite seasons as it was finally getting warmer and she didn't have to stay bundled up in a jacket, hat and scarf. Sure, she didn't mind winter as it meant hot chocolate, snowball fights and ice skating. But she had enough of the cold for now. Anyways, she decided to go on a stroll to enjoy the nice weather. As she approached the greenhouse, she heard loud noises from it. At first, she thought it was a monster and was scared to enter. But then she realized there couldn't be a monster as she was not able to see a shadow. She assumed that one of the plants was acting up again and decided to check it out and help. She enters and saw the Potions Professor, Professor Lesmana along with the Herbology Professor, Professor Jurema. There were standing in front of the greenhouse with a bunch of other students. Laasya peered into the greenhouse and saw that it had been ransacked horribly. Then Professor Lesmana made an announcement. A couple of Bouncing Bulbs had caused havoc in the greenhouse and the two professors needed the students help. Some of the students could join Professor Jurema in the greenhouse to pluck the weeds and to calm and reseed the bouncing bulbs while others could join Professor Lesmana in brewing Herbicide potion, which killed weeds. Laasya was no plants expert, but she had to help the professors as they looked pretty exhausted from all the work they did before she had arrived. She joined Professor Lesmana in making the potion.
For Herbicide Potion, she needed 4 Spines of Lionfish, 2 Measures of Standard Ingredient, 2 Measures of Horklump Juice, and 2 Blobs of Flobberworm Mucus. She first added four spines of Lionfish to the mortar. Then she crushed it into a powder using a pestle. Then she added two measurements of standard ingredient to the mortar and crushed it into a rough powder. Then she added 3 measures of this mixture into her cauldron before leaving it to brew. After it was done she added 2 measures of Horklump juice. Then she heated it to a medium temperature for 10 seconds and added 2 blobs of Flobberworm Mucus to the cauldron. Then she stirred it four times clockwise and then finally to complete the potion, waved her wand. She hoped that she breed it correctly as it had been ages since her first potions lesson and if she brewed it incorrectly, the consequences would be deadly. She joined the others in taking the potion to the greenhouse.
Laasya scanned the greenhouse as soon as she entered it. Most of the bulbs had been calmed down and replanted. She joined in the replanting of the bulbs, and in the result, making her white shirt muddy. "I shouldn't have worn white today." Laasya thought to herself as she dusted her shirt. But of course she was happy to help end the crisis. Eventually, everything had been fixed and Laasya walked back to her dorm exhausted. "I never knew." Laasya muttered to her cat before falling asleep for a nap. "That plants could be chaotic."

NOVALIE MOON! ✩
──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
“And then, like, the cat does this perfect flic-flac and then whoosh! A long katana just appears in its little paw out of nowhere! And when the enemy discovered that its been a secret shinobi all along, he, like, panics and pulls out this staff that looks suspiciously like that evil dude’s staff from Aladdin -oh! Speaking of! I think you could, like, totally pull off cosplaying-” Novalie’s rapid-fire ramble cut off mid-sentence as her attention snagged on a fresh piece of parchment pinned crookedly to the announcement board Eric and she were just passing. Her eyes narrowed with curiosity when Eric pulled the paper free, leaning over his shoulder while standing on her toes as she read along. 'Immediate help is needed in the Greenhouse' Eric and Novalie exchanged a quick glance, a wordless, perfectly synchronized look, and then smiled. Well, of course they’d help. What were they, if not helpful? They didn’t waste a second. By the time they neared the greenhouse, the havoc was already impossible to miss. Even from several feet away, the air was filled with noise, hurried footsteps, raised voices, the clatter of pots and glass. Students rushed in and out in a frenzy, some bewing potions outside the building like they were racing against an invisible clock. It kind of reminded her of the Potions Championship. “Ohh.. wow!!”, Novalie breathed, eyes quite literally sparkling, “This looks like so much fun!” As they got closer, Professor Asmaralaya’s voice carried over the commotion, firm but strained as he explained the situation: the bouncing bulbs had gone haywire, their behavior unpredictable, the cause still unknown. Novalie nodded along with every word he said, her expression focused like she fully intended to be responsible. Until- "Once the potion is finished, you can join the rest in the greenhouse. Please avoid-" “Okay, so!”, the Ravenclaw suddenly cut in, whipping around to Eric, completely abandoning the rest of the professor’s warning, “We should, like, totally trap the bouncing bulbs inside the greenhouse! I mean, it’d be fun to let them roam free and all, but for the sake of the Potions professor, we'll help out in a good way, right? We go in, and - oh my god, I have the best idea!” The redhead leaned in close to the boy, her face barely an inch from his, staring right into his eyes with her own being widened excitedly, "We make, like, a huge ring of fire! I saw it in video games. It, like, totally works to keep things inside a specific area.” Before Eric could so much as blink, Novalie had already grabbed his hand and was pulling him toward the greenhouse with determined enthusiasm, her slightly crooked wand was out in seconds and twirling between her fingers. “Also.”, she added casually, “Fire is warm. Plants like warmth. Nothing more soothing than this, right?” Inside, the full extent of the chaos unfolded before them. Broken pots littered the floor, soil scattered everywhere, glass panes were cracked.. Students darted around, casting spells like Flipendo or Immobulus. The Metamorphmagus froze for a moment, hands flying up to her cheeks as she let out a delighted squeak. That was just amazing!! Oh how she loved when Hogwarts got this lively! And obviously, she wanted to add to it - but no. The girl pressed her lips together, forcing herself to straighten slightly. As much as every chaotic instinct in her body begged her to add her own magic to it, she did respect Professor Lesmana enough to follow his clear instructions. With visible effort, Novalie reined herself in. Yes, this time, she'd be what others would view as a very responsible student. Which was a little boring, admittedly, but alas, she could survive being serious for a few minutes. So, in order to soothe the bulbs and prevent them from escaping, Novalie did what she had already announced, something that was the most reasonable and logical thing in this situation. She pointed her wand toward the entrance door of the greenhouse (from inside the greenhouse) to cast, “Incendio!” |

ERIC KIM! ♦
───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
Who was to say he would have such an eventful day today? Oh..right...being near Novalie almost always ended up in something eventful, he had not had time...physically..to get bored around here lately. So while Nova was explaining something to which he..honestly lost the plot already with how it was explained (yet nodded alongside it regardless), he noticed the announcement about the chaos in the greenhouse. Eric genuinely wanted to help. The moment he saw the notice, he was more than glad to help, plus errands were always a good thing to fill one's time with activities. (And it sounded interesting). Upon reaching closer to the greenhouse, and joining the rest of the students gathered to listen to the instuctions given by the professor he took his place next to Novalie listening, quite intently honestly, to what the teacher had to say (both instructions and warnings - or well the last bit he tried to at least). Whether he was actually paying more attention or not to the instructions given by the teacher compared to his Ravenclaw friend over here was genuinely debatable. One could even say that by the time the warnings started, and Novalie sort of interrupted it, his attention already shifted to the Ravenclaw. "Trapping them sounds-" He started, only to pause when she mentioned the fire ring. "Yeah, that...Are you sure about that, Nova?" Something...maybe common sense, maybe basic knowledge of how fire tends to work, told him that was NOT the best of ideas. Also...plants liked warmth, yes..last he opened a herbology book it was warmth in the form of sunlight, warm climate, temperature, not a scroching heat of flames burning them to a crisp. He could most certainly see that as not being "likeable". Then again, this was Novalie...was he that shocked this was something she would come up with? "Professor Asmaralaya was about to warn us about something..." He tried once more, only for his words to fall on deaf ears. Not to add that he found himself getting dragged by her to the greenhouse. Once there, the chaos was pretty much obvious, and if anyone were to ask what Eric was thinking at the moment, that chaos was about to get even worse. Much worse. The squeak the metamorphmagus let out prompted him to notice just how excited she was about this. Well....great thing he learned spells to counter her chaos and do damage control, huh... Flipendo, immobulus, those made sense, those were alright. Eric was even readying his wand to properly help before he heard Novalie cast her spell first. "Nova, we are INSIDE the greenhouse, this will just-" Trap us all in here. Great. Just great. He moved a bit away, readying his wand. Guess the plants could wait unless the bulbs moving around preferred becoming charred any time soon. He moved towards some of the bulbs, trying to grab them before giving up on that and just using magic. "Immobulus". Here he was trying to save the plants from possibly catching fire, while this was all going down quite...chaotically at that. Another look at the entrance to the greenhouse, another readying of his wand as he looked a bit at Novalie before moving his gaze back to the doors. "Extinguo". That...did in fact not work. Either he did the wrong movement (was there even a specific movement for it? He couldn't remember it right at the moment) or he said the incantation wrong for some reason, because that went about as well as any failed spell would. Well, guess they were in trouble. |

Emergency Weeding
Dido had been looking forward to her day off. Or, at least, she had been trying to convince herself to enjoy the day when she had no lessons. In reality, she was loving learning more and more about magic practically, especially in Herbology and Potions, that she truthfully preferred the week days. Of course, she didn’t tell anyone that. How embarrassing it would be to explain how you love school! So instead was trying, and arguably failing, to maintain a convincing front of excitement and contentment.
That all ended when she heard the kerfuffle going on near the greenhouses. Dido froze for a moment, her mouth agape as she saw more students then she had ever seen in one place (excluding the great hall) rushing around, pulling up weeds and mixing potions and casting quick spells that stopped the bulbs in their tracks. She immediately threw her bag down, pulling out the gloves she had been itching to use again since the previous Herbology lesson.
Dido rushed over to the greenhouse, nearly tripping over in her excitement, and tumbled in, asking the nearest student what she could do to help. He echoed the professor’s suggestions and Dido quickly found the nearest space next to some of the bulbs. She looked around the greenhouse, trying to understand how to calm the bulbs, but instead noticed that she was one of the few who didn’t have their wands out. Dido’s cheeks coloured, ashamed that her passion for learning and her apparent skill at the practical areas of magic didn’t extend to the spell casting techniques a couple of other students, who she had thought were her competition for top of the class in her year, had mastered easily.
But she quickly threw that feeling of shame off, perhaps having been distracted by the yells and shouts as people frantically ran through the greenhouses, and stared down at the writhing and leaping bulbs. Dido squeezed her eyes shut and shoved her hands down, tensing her arms to hold one of the bulbs in place until it calmed down. When she eventually felt it go limper, Dido couldn’t help but smile and she quickly pushed it to one side and began on another. She continued the easy pattern: deep breath, hold steady, wait, put aside, move on; for a few minutes, grinning all the while before, in a moment of peace, Dido glanced down at her pile and realised that they had all begun to wriggle again, undoing all of her progress calming them.
Dido grabbed one, calmed it again before making some space in the soil and packing it in there tightly so it couldn’t escape. She sighed, looking at her large pile. It was going to be a long time.
