Hogwarts Hosts and Wondrous Tea
Interacting with @Mildred Wilson
What a better first person to interact with in the club than her dormmate Mildred. She would be the perfect person to test the waters of this new Princess role that she had been bestowed in the Host Club. Willow took a couple steps away from the main group to give a small curtsy to Mildred. "This is the Hogwarts Hosts and Wonderous Tea, we're here to make your day brighter and spoil you with the affection that you deserve. Although, you've already brightened my day just by walking in here. I hope you'll let me return the favor for you and Chicken." She blew a small kiss to her favorite alpaca that she had the matching one for. She paused as Annie joined the conversation, giggling a bit at her forwardness with Mildred. She returned her attention to Mildred to offer her own services to her best friend.
"I'm afraid Rooster can't join us as he's held up currently in the Plant Palace, but I do hope that my company is enough for you this afternoon. Maybe one day we can have a double tea date." She winked at Mildred, hoping she realized this was a persona she had put on for this and hoped she would go along with her and not be too thrown off. "While I am the Princess, I hope you'll be my queen today." She stepped closer to Mildred, offering her hand to lead them over to a table together to enjoy the tea and small refreshments.

To say the rose-petal-boy’s response took Persephone by surprise didn’t do her reaction justice. The girl physically flinched at his choice of words, the tone they were delivered in dripping in the sweetness of honey. Compliments for her were a rarity, but not a luxury affordable. Persy didn’t wish to consider herself ‘flattered’ or anything of that sort, which would only bring emotion into what should be a formal conversation. It didn’t appear it would go that way, however.
As heat rose to her cheeks against all she wished for, Persy responded in a remarkably relaxed voice. “Bewitching? Enchanting?” There was a moment’s hesitation before the rhetorical confusion was followed with a more scenery appropriate reply. “The princes usually have to work for such an honor, dragons and such. I’ll let you slip by, though, with perhaps the gift of your name?”
The look in his eye, the shade of amber that brought about passion, provoked a response in her, one that was thoroughly unfamiliar. Persy blinked, breaking the tension that was held in their stare with such gentle ferocity. Human nature could withstand the hurricane of hatred that the blonde carried with her, sadly, and her mind took absent notice of the perfection he worked for. Though it let off an aura of prerogative, that was pushed aside and a small smile spread across her face, lacking any tell whether it was deceitful or genuine.

Still not quite having had decided upon a style of dress (the fact that they had sponsors to provide them with whatever wardrobe they so chose was...daunting to say the least), Evelynn had elected for simplicity: a knee-length A-line skirt in a deep Gryffindor red; a classy white collared blouse with three-quarter sleeves, tucked into the high-waisted skirt; white ballet flats, a simple golden chain necklace, and her gold watch. How exactly had she gotten conned into signing up for this, again? It was a question the red-headed first-year had often asked herself in the days and nights leading up to this debut. Yet, here she was, standing among the rest of the new club's hosts and hostesses, a demure smile upon her lips as she awaited in the impressively transformed interior of the rehearsal room.
The smile flickered upon the arrival of their first guest: Barrett. Of all the students in Hogwarts, why did it have to be her? What had even drawn her to desire seeking out such an environment in the first place? Evelynn was honestly flabberghasted, although she tried her best to veil the gut reaction, like someone shoving hard at her naval. Part of her couldn't help but wonder if the blonde had ventured this way because she was here. The manner in which they had last parted had given Evelynn an insight that the Slytherin clearly hadn't meant to divulge, regardless of the poor attempt to deny it. She also couldn't ignore the fact that they were surrounded by tea. Hot. Scalding. Tea. These two notions alone were almost enough for the little lioness to want to tuck tail and run.
She had made a promise, however, and not just to the club's director. She had made a promise to herself. Caster, as much as she hated to admit it, had raised a fair point. Her circle of confidantes was about as extensive as D'Spacito's humility. That is to say, non-existent. With the growing list of negative interactions, it was something that had begun to nag at her. As much as she preferred to rely only upon herself, she could not deny the fact that there was a certain strength in numbers. It certainly didn't hurt to have a friend or two to rely upon in the event that she could not support herself alone. This was the reason she was here. Practice. If she was to make friends, she would need to practice putting herself out there. To be friendly and approachable.
Thankfully, Barret seemed not to notice Evelynn. Or if she had, she had chosen to approach Lee instead. And receiving a treatment she thoroughly did not deserve, Evelynn thought bitterly as she noted the gracious way in which the Prince had addressed her. Gods, was he thick. Like honey. Not in the skull. Maybe he was that, too; she didn't know well enough to make that judgement. Yet. Still, even Evelynn was taken aback by just how quickly and thickly he piled the devotion and compliments. It would have been enough to make anyone blush. Even herself. And even...Evelynn had to raise a hand to hide the smug grin that had pulled her lips as brows raised in surprise. To see Barret blushing was just priceless.
Well...perhaps she did actually deserve to know what kindness looked like. For all Evelynn had discerned, noone had spoken to the girl like that in her life. Perhaps this could prove a good thing for the girl. And Evelynn. If the roughness of her edges could be smoothed, perhaps there would be one fewer tea-dumpers skulking the halls. Nevermind about that, however. As the two dove deeper into their interaction, Evelynn forced herself to avert her gaze. While reconnaissance was part of her reason for being here, it wasn't the goal of this day. Today, she was here to host, and as other guests began to trickle in, she offered smiles and warm welcomes to any that ventured near. Eventually, her woolly grey gaze came to settle on one individual in particular, a blonde with an athletic build.
Alright, Evelynn, she thought to herself, taking a steadying breath. You can do this.
"Like a lost little lamb, you appear," she stated, gliding forward smoothly, the hem of her skirt swishing lightly about her knees with her movement. A hand raised to attempt to touch lightly upon Bowen's elbow to capture her attention. "By the look in your eyes, it seems as though it was fate, rather than your conscious intent, that led our paths to cross. You have arrived in the midst of the Hogwarts hosts and hostesses. I would humbly welcome you to stay, to sit and converse, and perhaps enjoy some tea and pastries."
Now smile. Evelynn did as her own mind bade her do, as ridiculous as she sounded to herself, offering as genuinely warm a smile as she could muster.
"Were those sheets of music that you tucked away just now?" She inquired, a hopeful hint flecking her tone as her gaze dipped briefly to where the girl had just stowed her books. As ever, her keen eyes had served her well, and she had caught enough of a glimpse to discern the nature of the music book. "I hope you would forgive me if this comes across presumptuous, but I would consider it a great privilege to hear what melodies might be spun by the ingenuity of these fingers..."
Roiling gray met sky blue as Evelynn peered earnestly into Bowen's eyes, the tips of her fingers having trailed down the length of the girl's forearm to catch just the tips of her fingers as though acting the courtly guide for a grand duchess.
"I assure you, we have not done away with the precious piano. On the contrary..." with a sweeping step, Evelynn would (if permitted) turn the pair around to face the corner where the grand piano was prominently displayed, gesturing open-palmed in its direction. "Would you do me such an honour?"

Together with seven other students, they had taken their positions to look in perfect harmony, each perfectly resembling what kind of person they were. To Nico, there wasn't that much of a difference. She had always been shy. Her hair today had been put up in two pony tails, decorated with a small blue ribbon on each tail. A white shirt with a thin blue ribbon, twisted into a tiny bow underneath the collar. A blue, soft highwaist skirt drapes down above some black overknee socks into black, japanese, school girl shoes.
As everyone else took their favourite pose, Nico decided to figure out her own. She figured she could sit down on one of the fancy satin seats. Shyly but elegantly, crossing her legs. Her hands resting on her knee with a perfect posture. Her soft red eye shadow and perfected eyeliner made her eyes pop. Her otherwise deadlooking skin was now turned into a cold porcelain colour. A faint blush was brushed upon her cheeks and clear cheekbones. Her ice blue eyes would keep their focus on the main door where many new clients would enter from...

She had just blushed a light color of pink, and it highlighted her features even more, and Shen carefully took notice. She was evidently going to fight him the entire time, but that just made charming her that much more fun. Grabbing a black rose, from Greece, from the vase of roses by his chair in a flowing motion and without breaking eye contact with her gem stone eyes, he stood up, walked slightly closer, and tucked the flower right above her ear lightly yet hesitatingly as if he didn't want to let go. "My princess, my name is Shen, but you, my beautiful goddess, can call me whatever you like. I know better than to refuse any request you make of me. This delicate rose will but last a few days, but your elegance, your beauty will has been seared into my heart. It will forever be the gracing me in my dreams. Just your presence alone means that I will never be able to repay you, for it is a gift that I am undeserving of. May I ask you to please join me for tea? It will truly be the least I could do." Shen, kept his eyes gazing longingly into hers, holding out a hand, hoping that she would hold on and never to let go.

Though the humiliation from earlier did everything but slow in its course of destruction, no choice remained but to succumb to his meaningless words as if they were glue. Persephone was ensnared in this poorly-constructed plan of hers, the endgame in sight was the only way of moving forward, regardless how long the path may be. With this enlightening thought, the blonde offered him a gentle smile as he tucked a black rose behind her ear, contrasting her pale skin.
Goddess. Doesn’t know how right he is.
“You can call me Persephone, if you like, perhaps Barret. That is, in actuality, my name. The rose is lovely, I must thank you for that.” Her voice was worthy of royalty, delicate but accented in her regular unique manner. The sickening facade could only contribute to such strange allure. “Tea sounds perfect, though I’m not greatly fond of the beverage myself, today could be different.”
With reluctance that was likely obvious to Shen’s analyzing gaze, the Slytherin allowed her hand to fall into his, a suspicious twist forming in her stomach. His natural appeal was intriguing, valuable in a situation that called for such a dangerous weapon, fatal if in the wrong hands. Of course, the wrong hands could belong to either of the two, for both were thoroughly unfamiliar with the other, creating a sense of unease for such a trusting grasp of hands.
Persy filled the gap with a question: “So, this is your club?”

If she was being perfectly honest, Saskia had no idea what she was doing in this room.
According to the club leader, Shen as she learned some time ago, this club was supposed to "create an atmosphere of happiness, joy, and dreams where their customers would be able to enjoy themselves". It sounded decent enough. She did question the customer part a bit, but she assumed that it was simply because they were providing a service to make people happy. Maybe the funds from the club would have been for a good cause or something. Either way, she wanted to see what it was about.
And here she was. Rose petals somehow made their way in the room, floating around the air as if they were in some typical romance anime. The setup was elegant, but it wasn't in the kind of way she'd seen in the ball room months prior. Soft music playing in the background, or the gentle aroma of fresh roses from the petals that made it different. She could argue that this was something Professor Bercegeay would have planned. It wasn't a surprise to know that she was there to sponsor the club.
She was supposed to dress up as a role. She was actually rather grateful she had a role that already suited her wardrobe choices. Merlin forbid she had to wear a puffy dress in front of other people. That was the only comfort she had in this romance-infested place. She could already see some of the other hosts and hostesses entertaining the other clients, which only fueled her own embarrassment in being involved in this kind of event.
But she would have to grin and bear it like she always did when things went wrong. She had a part to play.

Quinn had heard very odd rumors like odder than the usual. He was correct in thinking that because currently he stood outside the door to the 4th floor rehearsal room. Irene, his silver Egyptian Mau, sat perched on his right shoulder. Being far too curious and frankly just bored, he carefully gripped the door handle and opened the door. Ducking when he entered the room. What greeted him was not at all what he expected, hell he didn't know what to expect but this wasn't it.
The heavenly floral scent that greeted his nose, the tables, the atmosphere even was all pleasant. Not too gaudy but just right. What surprised him the most were the students standing in varying poses smiling and looking in his direction. Suddenly becoming a bit self concious. The large Half-Giant who easily dwarfed everyone in the room rubbed the back of their neck a little nervous. However very quickly their eyes locked onto a very familiar face and suddenly Quinn started to blush brightly. "N-Nico?" Why was she here, and more importantly why was she dressed so...beautifully. He thought the dress which wasn't anything unusual for her to wear suited Nico very well. Gosh she looked so pretty...he should stop dwelling so hard on these thoughts probably...yeah probably.

Word has gotten around that quite the peculiar club has surfaced among the predominantly mundane clubs Hogwarts had to offer. A host club, in fact. It seemed rather uncanny that the school would have this manner of organization, however, it did not seem too shabby of an idea. Perhaps Seul could give it a taste, or maybe more if she felt this club was up to her standards of excellence. After all, they did offer tea.
Here she stood before the palatial rehearsal room delineated with exquisite tapestries and a lustrous glass chandelier. The place almost seemed picturesque with perfectly positioned velvet chairs and aromatic rose petals floating throughout. It had a refined ambience that Seul was all too familiar with. The club leader must be from an elite family given the extravagant embellishments. The girl wore her jet-black hair in a loose updo, complimented with a casual periwinkle ruffle spaghetti strap dress. She admit it was moderately awkward and embarrassing dressing like this in a school; she would only dress like this to one of those pure-blood parties, although judging the current atmosphere of the rehearsal room, they were essentially one and the same.
Seul was greeted by the gentle and welcoming gazes of the hosts and hostesses as she sauntered into the room along with the other students eager to see what this club was about. She supposed the next course of action would be to introduce herself to a host, preferably a hostess given her previous experiences with the male population at Hogwarts. One particular hostess caught her eye, a red haired girl with alluring blue eyes. She seemed taken given that a fairly large boy with auburn hair was standing next to her. Despite that fact, for some unknown reason (Lovely Creature), Seul couldn’t take her eyes off the girl. She felt naturally drawn to her as she ambled towards the red-head. In a refined manner, she introduced herself oblivious of the fact that the boy was also trying to talk with the girl. “I assume you are a hostess? My name is Seulrene An, from the An family. It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance.”

As she sat there in a proper posture, her eyes looked as several clients entered the room. Mostly girls entered as far as the dhampir could see. She was abit nervous if someone would approach her. She didn't really have any experience with girls. This could be her first time but... she really rather not. Trying not to make eye contact with anyone, the redhead slightly turned away, gently dusting off her skirt and pulling up her sock some more. No one would really come for her, right? Why would they?
"N-Nico?"
Her eyes widened. She knew that voice all too well. Could it be? Why would he be here of all places? W-Would he think it's weird? Slowely, feeling caught doing a crime, the dhampir turned back, towards Quinn. Oh gosh. He was really here. Embarassed she eyed down at her attire. There was nothing wrong or weird about what she wore. It was just a shirt and a skirt. Not much different from what she usually wore. But the reason why made her all nervous. 'Q-Quinn...' Hesitantly, she locked eyes with him. Her face bright red. However, it looked more pink since she put on a layer of foundation. 'I-I didn't think you'd show up. I-I must look ridiculous...' Flustered, she couldn't move. Her legs didn't carry her. 'C-Can I be of service to you? I- I MEAN..' Crap. She was mixing up her lines she practiced. He was her boyfriend. How could she just blatantly say that. 'I-I sorry. Wh-What brings you here though?' Her hands gently clinged onto the edge of her skirt, shyly looking up at Quinn. Di-Did he grow taller again?
Right before she could wait for his answer, a girl had approached her. PANIC. INTERNAL PANIC. Nico was red as a beet and she needed to keep her composure. Swallowing, the dhampir looked over at the new girl. 'H-Hello. Yes. I'm Nico Shymane. The pleasure is all mine.' One of her hands moved up to her pigtail and nervously twisted some strands of hair around her fingers. She really didn't want to screw this up.
