Afternoon.

Things seemed to move by quickly, first, Archer aimed at the sky above the Ravenclaws, but Axyen knew better to assume they were going to miss... probably. After all, this was a spell Axyen himself used a few times. "Ooh, Slytherin seems to have gotten their act together!" It's a storm cloud!" Axyen announced, getting excited... except that no lightning struck. That was fine, it may or may not strike later—the fun part was how unpredictable it was.

Jessamine would attempt to hit Elisa with a Flipendo, but the spell would fail to find its mark. "Yikes, that was a miss!" Axyen said, carefully watching the duel. This was something that he was able to keep up with ease, something he could easily watch. Little did he know, this was about to get a little more complicated.

Mylo would cast the Cracker Jinx, but it seemed to rebound and go for the Ravenclaws instead. Mylo, of course, took the full force of the damage being right there and Jessamine would be able to dodge unlike Edward who took some of the damage being in its radius. However, right as Jessamine dodged, Elisa cast Petrificus Totalus which got Jessamine who went rigid and fell onto the floor. "Woah! Jessamine is down! They can't move, but they aren't out just— Ahhh!"

Startling Axyen was Edward who cast the Cracker Jinx a second time, Axyen visibly jumped back out of instinct. He hadn't been expecting two of those to show up this round. The jinx would go on to hit Atlas. "Haha," Axyen laughed, trying to brush off the fact that he was startled with an air of nonchalance. "Anyways, wow, only Atlas was hit! This is an impressive match, this is what I was talking about! This is what it means to really duel!" Axyen said with excitement, feeling pumped up.

The flames on Elisa would continue to burn, but they were soon to burn out. Axyen looked over the stage proudly, the chaos was perfect—it was everything he wanted from this duel... and he was excited to see how it would go beyond his expectations. "Let's keep it going! Let's aim to make this unforgettable!" Axyen said, still on guard from the fact that multiple Cracker Jinxes went off this match.

So, the match would continue, likely with a barrage of spells that would hopefully prove to be as entertaining as this round was. With it being so early in the match and so much already happening, Axyen could only have high hopes for the direction of the duel...

Not only had his spell not managed to reach it's intended target again this time round, it backfired spectacularly. Mylo knew that his wand could be a bit volatile sometimes, and that there was a chance of a spell backfiring but they had never experienced it until now.

And not only did it backfire, it had decided to backfire on a spell that also affected their teammates. Jessamine seemed to have been able to evade the crackers that exploded near her feet but Edward wasn't so lucky, getting caught in a few stray explosions. At the sight of their teammate getting bombarded Mylo shot him an apologetic glance, knowing that after the duel they would have to give him a proper apology but at the moment there simply wasn't the time for one.

Mylo was starting to get a sinking feeling though, as this duel they hadn't managed to successfully cast a single spell even with the insane amount of practice they had been putting in in order to make sure things like this didn't happen. Now however wasn't the time to succumb to those feelings, there would be plenty of time to do so after the duel finished.

Being engulfed in flames wasn't exactly a pleasant feeling. Gritting her teeth and willing the fire to die out, she muttered petrificus totalus under her breath and pointed her wand in front of her. This would be the first time she cast the full-body binding curse in an official duel. The streak of light reached the Ravenclaw and she fell down, her body rigid -- though not before she managed to send a flipendo toward Elisa. It mustn't be comfortable, falling down like that, but Elisa reminded herself that being set on fire was no better. Around her, the air was exploding with cracker jinxes. Elisa had never encountered the renowned nec divinos crepitus on the piste before, but from the sounds of the blasts, she knew she would never want to stand in the way of one.

Afternoon.

The duel continued to escalate quickly. Elisa would aim at Mylo who would dodge the Incendio Duo launched at them; however, Archer who had the same idea would hit the mark and Mylo would find themselves set aflame. "Woah! And Mylo is on fire, it's hard to tell who is going to win—there are twists and turns with each passing moment!' Axyen announced in hopes of getting a good audience reaction and the hopes of being entertaining as a moderator as well.

Jessamine, who seemed to not be a big fan of being petrified broke out of the magical restraints that kept their limbs pinned. "Woah! Just like that, Jessamine is free!" Axyen would declare excitedly, so far the active participants have been meeting his expectations and it was only natural for him to get so invested in this. Edward would aim for Elisa and casting Aqua Eructo...
It would hit its mark, Elisa was drenched in water, to add. "Woah, that was a strong hit! However, Elisa is still standing! Everything is going well enough so far!" Axyen said, but he did note that Elisa was likely visibly injured with the amount of damage they have taken. Right, I'll have to do that again, Axyen reminded himself internally, but he wouldn't let that ruin his mood.

Mylo would try and cast Ventus, but they would fail to even cast it—the Cracker Jinx from earlier may have been messing them up... And suddenly, the storm above produced a lightning strike directly hitting Edward, causing Axyen to nervously look up and move a bit. "Yikes, that was shocking to see..." Axyen didn't make that pun on purpose, it just happened to be the first thing he had to say. "W-well..." Axyen nervously looked up at the storm cloud again.

"It's time to see what happens next!" Axyen said, thinking about the duel and trying to predict what will happen next.
