The Demon Wears Prada P.Fowl PV

The outdoors always makes her especially anxious, but that seems not to be the case today. Maybe she needed a bit of fresh air. After returning to Hogwarts after a year of being M.I.A, the grounds feel a little lonelier. Not like she has friends before, she has a couple of people who would be lucky not to receive her petrifying gaze. Well, in their defense, who wants to be friends with someone who would criticize what they wear all the time? But, seriously, Florals? For spring? It's truly groundbreaking.

She can't help it. It's like in her blood that her tongue is needle-like. It's like telling a lion not to hunt for that innocent deer. It's like it's in her nature that she has to say it. She is well aware that some people can be a little 'nervous' being in close proximity to her. Her face looked a little crooked as she thought about it. She looks at her reflection again, admiring her beauty once more, noticing how nobody in this school is probably worthy enough to be in her presence anyway. "Well, who is better company than myself?" her eyes meet her own reflection, as if she is conversing with it, "Isn't that right?" She said while still having the same crooked smile she had before.

While still looking at her reflection, the silver-haired girl continued to move her fingers in between the strands of her hair, "Maybe I do need a haircut," Pea muttering to herself, not really aware of another presence around her at all. "The end feels a little dry, too. I should buy that shampoo Aunt recommended." She still isn't listening to her surroundings, although she hears weird crunching noises, she chooses to ignore them.

"Why is there a littl-" A sudden jolt rushed in her body. She felt a little tap on the back of her shoulder. It wasn't a hard push, but the amount of adrenaline almost pushed her to the radioactive black lake. The white haired screeched in disbelief, with all the strength in her toe, she stopped her fall with both hands splayed open.

"WHAT THE HELL???" The girl snapped her neck in the direction of the force she felt on her back. Her eye immediately felt the disdain of it. Of course is none other than HIM!

Hanako regretted not wearing his earplugs before coming here. Not even a second later after he attempted to give the young girl a scare, he had to put his fingers in his ear just to block out the screech that surely would've damaged his eardrums for the rest of the day. Despite it, he could not for the life of him- hide the highly amused grin that was plastered on his face. Despite how puberty had made his features a lot more sharper since the last time he saw her, he had no doubt she could recognize the boyish grin on his face. Unable to hide his chortles as he could hear her curse despite this plugged ears. He took a step back but didn't release his fingers from his ears yet. In case she decided to have another screaming session.

" "Well, who is better company than myself?" He micmicked in her voice, "The end feels a little dry, too. I should buy that shampoooooooo~", he laughed, placing back his hands in his pocket. " Seriously, Fowl… time didn't make you humble, did it? Ever heard of the Narciussus story? You looked as it you were about to fall in love with your own reflection! You ought to thank me, really" he grinned, checking his own nails cockily.

Just for once she thought she could have a peaceful morning, of course that would never happen in Hogwarts. She was only minding her business, literally, when a face, a face she never wanted to see ever again, came into fruition just right behind her. And even worse, he startled her, almost making her fall into the lake. When she faced him, he already had his finger ready in his ear, like she was actually screeching that loud. She is definitely NOT that disgraceful. Even though she would love to give him the screeching of the century, she is trying to use that ability on a more important occasion, unless he piss her off more than that, that is.

The mimicking does increase the chance of it happening. Most of the time, she would probably going to be provoked by this display of childishness. But for some reason, this time she doesn't want to give him the satisfaction just yet. " Seriously, Fowl… time didn't make you humble, did it? Ever heard of the Narciussus story? You looked as it you were about to fall in love with your own reflection! You ought to thank me, really" The Narcissus story? He's got to be joking, right? If she remembers it correctly, Narcissus is a story from Greek mythology, he was cursed to fall in love with himself and died a tragic death.

"I am surprised you actually read a book, Tone." Pea responded to his jibes. "Besides, what's wrong with loving myself anyway? Maybe you ought to practice that on yourself, because that shirt with those pants combo? I'd probably hate myself too if I were you." Pea said this while looking up and down his whole body. He is indeed just a commoner, that is probably the only shirt he has in his closet anyway. How sad.

OOC note ; I dont think Pea knows Hana's background, so she just think of him like any other commoner XD [i also don't know what Hana is wearing but I will assume that Pea would hate it anyway.]

" Hmmm….? " he grinned almost chesire like at her words, " wonderful then. I'm always aiming to impress you, just as you have done for me." his jester like tone indicated that it wasn't like a compliment at all. Clearly making fun of her, unable to take her mockery about reading books all that seriously. Likely because that bit was true, really. All most of his books were ever realy good for was for decorating.

It was the next tidbit that kinnnndaaaaa got to him. He let out a quick scoff, unintentionally fixing up tweaks on his outfit as if trying to subconsciously remind himself that he still looked this good. My god could could she tell that fast? 5 seconds of seeing him and she realised he was already a lot more poorer now than before when they met. OR - or- she was bluffing. Like he always had. It was a powerful tool after all, to be able to be a certain level of confidence. He channeled his own, letting a smirk naturally fall on his face as he brushed the side of his hair back. Taking a step closer to her as he talked.

" hahahah … theres that humour I can't help but miss. Yes, well when it comes to clothes realy, it's hard to beat you" he hummed, only stopping just close enough to Pea that their shoes just almost touched if she didn't take a step back. The sun behind him provided her a delicate shade from where she stood, blocked by Hanako who was very openly - evidently - obviously - gladly , looking down on her. A mischievous smile on his face, like seeing her in this angle brought him great delight.

" Theres some things that no clothes can really fix much huh? That height with those heels? Hm. Cute"

" wonderful then. I'm always aiming to impress you, just as you have done for me." Pea raised one of her eyebrows in disbelief. Her? trying to impress him? maybe in his dreams, Pea thought, but she knew from his tone that he was just being sarcastic. What is with him with always trying to grind her gears? Literally every single word that came out of his mouth just increased the chances of him receiving her Veela screech. Is it almost like it's a challenge to him? setting a record on about how fast he could make her angry? If that's so, SHE would never let him win that challenge, even if it's a challenge just for himself.

"Impressing you? Please. I would rather waste my effort on the giant squid than you." Pea smirked, trying to sound calm yet insulting, but her eyebrow seemed to say otherwise. Although Pea is convinced she isn't bothered by Hana's jibes, somehow her face looks a little distorted, its minor but she bets that someone like Hana would notice it. She took a deep breath to calm herself down.

But of course, that is impossible when he is still in her sight.

" Theres some things that no clothes can really fix much huh? That height with those heels? Hm. Cute" This. boy. is. Infuriating. Hana stepped closer, just right in front of her. For all the time that she has known him, he has always just been a shorty. But now, even with her tiny heels, he looked just slightly taller than her.

Sweats form on her forehead. It can't be!? How did he grow so much just in a year!? "Imposible !!" Pea steps backward in disbelief. If he is not short anymore, what other thing can she make fun about him now? His shortness is literally the easiest insult Pea would always throw at him anytime they would meet. Now she can't use it anymore. "Tch!" Pea scoffs in disappointment. Okay, now she just has to come up with another insult, it shouldn't be difficult for someone like Tone.

"You! ..." She stuttered, trying to think of any insult she could throw at Tone, so she won't lose in whatever this is their doing. "You..! I bet that little growth spurt won’t help you get a girl anyway!" Pea screeched in her last resort. Hoping that the insult will finally get to him.

"Oh is that what you were doing earlier here? Trying to impress the giant squid?" He let out a low laugh. " Gotta admit Fowl, I didn't expect you to be the type. I thought the only animal you really ever cared about was that lizard. Speaking of which.." he scanned her a little. " Not wearing your favorite accessory today?" Hanako remembered the girl always had that lizard somewhere on her. So often that Hanako thought it really wasn't a living breathing creature, but a prop. For some bizarre fashion statement you see in eccentric fashion shows.

Her reaction…. she never looked so beautiful until now. Annoyed, frustrated and in disbelief. Hanako coudn't help but show his glee on his face. Even now, Hanako had always been considered a little on the shorter side. Even his peers who used to be around the same height as him at some point, had grown at least a little taller than him. So really it was fun to have someone to look down on for once that wasn't a 1st or 2nd year. His grin faltered for a moment as she took a big step back, and before Hanako could truly stop himself, he grabbed her wrist to pull her back.

"Careful there" he let out a chuckle, letting her wrist grow as he took a step back instead. If she felt his presence was the plague itself, then it would be better if he gave her more room. Especially when the lake was just behind her. " Wouldn't want to get those heels wet now do you? Unless you expect me to come in and save you? Hahahaha~ Ahh… no"

Hanako blinked at her persistence in trying to insult him. He snickered. Oh yes- this was exactly why he loved hanging around her. " Hm…girls huh? Well.. I swing both ways, I gotta admit I've been leaning to one side a little more lately these days". He swiped his thumb across his bottom lip, like remembering a memory with a smirk on his face. " I had quite a good discovery lately that Enzo Delacroix is a pretty good kisser, Fowl. Do you remember him from our short date at the ball~? You know... the guy you tried to cheat on me with? "

She could tell that her breathing got a little heavier when Tone responded to her comment about the giant squid. She is very annoyed that she couldn't think of a better insult to throw back at him, especially now that he is taller than her.

Birkin is indeed one of the only animals that she cares about, but he is pretty low maintenance and barely likes to move, so sometimes she even forgets that she has been carrying him everywhere. "Excuse you, that lizard, is named Birkin. And mind you, he is 10 times better than the giant squid, and your slimy snake is not even in competition." Pea starting to look noticably more unsettled, almost frizzled. In the battle of insult, she might admit that Hanako have more experience, but she still has a weapon that even Hanako could counter. And that is her scream.

"Where is Cu Sith anyway? Last time I remembered, she was so obsessed with me. Maybe she prefers a new master compared to someone as ugly as you, Ton-" Before she finished her sentence, she noticed one of her heels dug into the mud near the lips of the lake. Losing her balance, Hana managed to snag her wrist, pulling her to a more sturdy land, also landing a lot closer to the boy.

"Careful there, Wouldn't want to get those heels wet now do you? Unless you expect me to come in and save you? Hahahaha~ Ahh… no" Her heart jolted in shock at what just happened. For some reason, when Tone grabs her wrist, although it was a mere seconds, she felt a little flutter in her chest. Confusion appears on her face when she realizes what just happened. But Pea decided to act as if she felt nothing and stepped further from him, "Oh? You do care about me after all, huh?" Pea continued to tease him, "I knew finally you couldn't resist my unbridled charm."

Pea looks more amused with hersel,f although the lingering annoyance still showed in her eyebrow. That eyebrow furrowed further when Hana mentioned the kiss between him and that boy. They kissed? Who would want to kiss someone like him? "Oh? are you going to introduce me to your new boyfriend then?" Sarcastically ,she scuffs, "Honestly I am shocked you could pull someone like that Tone, I must applaud you."

Hanako couldn't do much but laugh at her reply about Birkin. As if he cared much about that lizard. It was times like this where he wished there was some sort of recording device he had on him that could have this played as his ringtone. Something to laugh at when he's bored and having the slightest energy only to listen to things.

He hasn't been thinking all that much when he helped her out. And while he would have enjoyed seeing her distress more with the ruin of her outfit, he had to remember he was around someone that was a vella. Screams could hurt. So he had to be very careful not to overstep and cause too much trouble. Even if it was excitable. " And… judging by how you're not recoiling at the thought, perhaps I'm not too ugly for the thought of me caring about you to make you hurl out your last lunch, you think?" he smirked, letting her step away from him. " Tell me… does the thought of me liking you actually feels… nice~? My my… Fowl I knew we went on a date.. but was that truly enough for me to stay in your memories for so long?"

" Cu sith is fine by the way" he decided to answer her earlier question casually. " Just out as per usual. I dont monitor her all that much. Lately all I've been doing is making sure she doesn't eat a cat for lunch"

At the mention of 'boyfriend' though - Hanako started to look disturbed, his grin forced as he let out a laugh. " Oh please, boyfriends are so last season. I'm shocked you could even have one as long as you had. I thought we both had more in common. Had. Hadddd, right? Surely had? Refresh my memory if its a has or a had, Fowl" He stressed the word, as if it was a sudden great interest to him.
