Hufflepuff vs Gryffindor: Game 5
(Thanks to Verity Engels for the banner!)Axyen regretted aiming his wand so high up in the sky, he wasn't sure which direction his wand flew in! He looked up at the Gryffindors, and with a horrified expression, he realized they were all aiming for him. "Yikes!" In that moment, Axyen was running around like a cartoon character and then...
The wand! Axyen thought to himself, as he made haste to grab. As he did, he felt a comfort in his hand—he was at that stage where he'd feel restless and hopeless not knowing where his wand is. It was nice to have it in his hand again, after all, the wand chooses the wizard. And Axyen had a wonderful bond with his wand.
"Alright then ... Let's try not to lose this again!" Axyen said to himself, as if that was somehow going to make his dodging better. I think we stand a chance! Axyen thought to himself, his confidence boosted by being able to dodge all of the spells flung his way. With the next round starting, Axyen began to act...InformationReducioStatsReducioStamina-7

Wand Maker (Phoenix Feather Core):
• 10% chance that a random spell known by the caster will be cast in addition to the spell that they have already cast. The spell will target the same target the caster had attacked/aided with a spell that round. If the spell cast had no target, then a target is assigned randomly with no consideration of friend or foe. The second spell still has to go through the normal targeting mechanics, it would not be an automatic hit or anything. This effect will not take place if the wand is not drawn.
• In duels the wand only chooses from the list of official duelling spells.
• +2 accuracy to spells cast.

Hufflepuff vs Gryffindor: Game 5

Not much has truly changed for Ula and her team since the last round. Or any other round to be exact. Once again they had been left untouchable as the spells thrown at them by the Hufflepuff team were evaded with ease. God, can these Hufflepuffs get any more embarrassing?
However—disappointingly so—not a single lion managed to land a hit. The thought of not seeing a second badger unconscious made the young Takahashi almost frown. Nonetheless, it made Ula's drive stronger, so she surged forward, her stance purposeful as she redied her wand once more.

Hufflepuff vs Gryffindor: Game 5
It was frustrating more than anything, a second blindfolding spell failing so miserably. At least this time he had managed to cast it, he figured, though that had offered little consolation. His team too hadn't saw any success, made worse by the fact they had all flung spells at one who was otherwise distracted and searching for his wand.
Whilst his frustration had surged for a moment, Edwin was not one to allow himself to dwell on that. Instead, he pushed that from his mind, settlign his nerves and focusing back on the duel. His wand rose once more, ready.

Costanza braced herself for an oncoming barrage of spells, but the lions went after Axyen instead. She knew the guy would have quick feet when going for his wand, so she didn't worry too much for him. Expectedly, he retrieved his wand and was unscathed. But perhaps her panic for herself caused her to screw up the aim of her Cracker Jinx which landed nowhere near the lions. A shameful showing from both sides. At least Axyen was back in the fray.───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

Following up on my disarming spell, I cast a beautiful flipendo at the Hufflepuff. Unfortunately it missed. The round ended and nothing really happened. We've achieved nothing, while one of our opponents was occupied looking for his wand. I heaved a sign of clear frustration. Hopefully next round something actually happens.Stats: Sta 7 Eva 9 Str 5 Wis 8 Arc 7 Acc 10

Don't count your chickens before they hatch, and never believe one plateauing moment promised long-term respite. If the previous exchange of spells had been flashy but somewhat disappointing, this one promised greater (if not just as unintentional) success.
Leveraging his newly reclaimed wand, Axyen caught the crowd's eye first as spells went flying. Somehow, without an extra incantation on his part, not one split cast but two different spells shot out, one of them veering so wildly that it caught Costanza in the side with the greatest shove of magic Cassius had ever seen this year. Was this another example of spell spread at work, or had the Hufflepuff so much synergy with his wand that he'd managed to master magical velontroquism? But no, closer examination revealed that Axyen's wand was still pointed at Ula. There was no malicious intent toward his own teammate, not when the piste absorbed the bonus Spongify as easily as his original Knockback jinx honed in on his last remaining teammate. If any Gryffindor were to later step out of bounds accidentally, they'd find a small spot of it slightly too flexible to be natural.
Suddenly attacked by her own teammate, Costanza's own Flipendo swung just obviously enough for Ula to evade it narrowly. Despite her uncanny instincts, she'd not have any breathing room this round. Very similarly to Axyen's remarkable miss, though without the confusing double cast, Alejandro's Knockback jinx would strike her as well. Hadn't he been aiming at Axyen?
Obscuro, so constantly attempted this duel, would not suddenly succeed in tying up opponents (apologies to Ula). The piste had enough spare blindfolds to sew together a small shirt, or perhaps tie several gift boxes together with spare fabric. Still, the distraction was enough for Edwin to nail Axyen with a stellar Knockback jinx. From unscathed to somewhat worse for wear, Hufflepuff was taking heat, and not even their clever Metelojinx was helping them stand their ground. And yet, no one else had fallen. They were nearly at the midpoint now, if Cassius's calculations were correct, and there was still time to match struggle with struggle.

Hufflepuff vs Gryffindor: Game 5
Edwin couldn't help but laugh, watching not just one but two spells misfire, somehow flung toward the wrong target. A hufflepuff even attacking their own team mate by mistake, completely detracting from the rather impressive display only moments prior where the Hufflepfuf had managed to cast two spells in such quick succession.
He allowed himself this brief lapse in concentration, before flinging his own spell, which struck true to its intended target. Then, once more, he readied himself, wand raised as his eyes traced across the remaining hufflepuffs.

Hufflepuff vs Gryffindor: Game 5

Even though her spell got evaded by the pesky Hufflepuff, Ula did not dwell on it for too long. She laughed along with Edwin as the two redirected spells worked in Gryffindor's favour. Not that she cared about seeming insensitive as Costanza took one hit after another. Matter of fact, she didn't care at all. Winning—that's what mattered here and now, and the young Takahashi was pretty confident her team was on the right track.
With a dazzling grin that promised nothing but trouble, she readied her wand.

Hufflepuff vs Gryffindor: Game 5
(Thanks to Verity Engels for the banner!)What a diaster, everything just seemed to go wrong right when Axyen was sure it would all go okay; however, as he aimed his wand for Ula and cast Flipendo, his wand unfortunately decided now was a good time to showcase its flexibility; to make matters worse, it decided now was also a good time to showcase its dual casting capabilities... Against his own teammate. "Ohmygoodnessareyouokay!?" Axyen asked in a panic, he didn't mean to hit his own teammate—unfortunately, he got hit by a Flipendo and gritted his teeth. He held onto his wand tightly, he would just apologize properly after the duel, then!
Axyen was quietly considering the situation, his eyes glancing between the three Gryffindors and his teammate who was in rough condition. Axyen took in a breath and decided he would not give up; sure, he was down a teammate and his other teammate got roughed up pretty badly while the other team was yet to be harmed, but Axyen needed to showcase Hufflepuff spirit. He would never give up!
Bring it on, he thought to himself, his eyes narrowing slightly as he braced himself; he hoped he didn't get hit like that again, it sucked.InformationReducioStatsReducioStamina-7

I stifled a small laugh as one of the Hufflepuffs hit their own teammate. How can their aim be this bad? They didn't fling any spells at me during this time period. It seems as if they're more focused on my teammates. My knockback jinx... hit the hufflepuff girl? I swear I was aiming at her teammate. Doesn't matter, it's the same thing.Stats: Sta 7 Eva 9 Str 5 Wis 8 Arc 7 Acc 10
