Hogwarts Hosts and Wondrous Tea is a club to build socialising skills. Our mission is to help each and every student at this magical school to feel warm and welcomed.

How would we achieve this?

Through our social gathering events. Each gathering offers everyone a friendly company, good conversation, desserts, and of course tea!

Social gatherings hosted by Hogwarts Hosts and Wondrous Tea are always open for both members and general students. In other words, you don't need to worry if we are not currently accepting new members to act as hosts - you're always free to come as our guests! Whether you're a frequent guest or a first-time guest, we're always happy to have you around.

Our dedicated hosts are the people who enable Hogwarts Hosts and Wondrous Tea to exist as we know today. They are volunteers who dedicate their time, energy, and ideas to make you feel warm and relax in each social gathering we host.

When there are not so many guests attending an event, each host can give you a one-on-one chat service. When are there more gathering attendees than the hosts, they may put the guests in pairs or groups and then serve as a bridge to help the conversation flowing. In any case, our hosts is here to help you improve socialising skills and enjoy our events.

Of course if sometimes you feel like being left alone at the moment, or wish to leave a gathering before it ends, you are free to do so. If a host approaches you in this situation, please feel free to inform them no and they will respect your preference!

Please also bear in mind that our hosts have their personal rights. They are here to be your friend or even sympathising mentor figure (if agreed by both parties), but not your date or victim. If you try to do inappropriate things against them (such as but not limited to bully, kiss, cast a jinx, use any word which can be considered a censored word, or name-calling), you will be asked to leave our social gathering immediately. The same applies if you try to do so to fellow guests!

We have several types of hosts here. You are welcome to request the one you feel most comfortable with, as long as they're free. Usually, though, a host would greet you immediately so that you won't have to worry about being left out in our event!

1. Active Listener Type: Annie Morgan
The active listener host will listen to your happy stories or even rant without much interruption. They're here to make you feel better without many words!

2.Chatty Outgoing Type:
Want a chat partner? Or perhaps you enjoy social gatherings but you'd rather listen to others than being the speaker? The chatty outgoing host will be a perfect friend for you!

3. Joker Type:
If you enjoy verbal jokes, look no further than the joker host. They will make you laugh with their humour, or you can exchange jokes and make each other rolling on the floor laughing!

4. Mentor Type:
Feeling lost? Do you long for a big brother or big sister figure who can give you advice? The mentor host is here to help!

5. Prankster Type:
Do you enjoy pranks? Jokes that are more than just words? The prankster host is always ready to be your partner prankster in crime!

6. Royalty Type: Evelynn Decipio
If you enjoy high-class talks and wants to feel like a lord or a lady, approach our royalty host. They're very good at creating moods and settings of a mansion around you!

7. Sweet Type: Elisabeth Erner
Gentle and sensitive, the sweet host will cry with you over your problems. They're always ready to make you feel better with tissues, a friendly hug if you want one, and sweet treats!

The answer is: yes as long as there is an open spot. If currently all spots are filled in, please kindly wait until a position is available and then you can apply.

Please bear in mind that being a host means responsibilities, too! In addition to being cordial to our guests, you must be committed to the club, too. Of course IC and/or real-life things can suddenly happen and you're always free to withdraw from the club anytime; but before your apply to be one, we ask for your commitment (just as if you're interested in joining your house's Quidditch/duelling team or Hogwarts newspaper team). We are certainly less than happy if you just suddenly take a leave - especially a permanent one - without notifying fellow members, or at least the head host, beforehand.

If you've been absent from two or more social events hosted by Hogwarts Hosts and Wondrous Tea, we regretfully consider you as quitting your position as a host/member. The same applies if OC you have been inactive for at least a month and/or not replying our owl.

Please understand your responsibilities as a host, including saying no to be treated like a bullying victim or a romantic interest while at duty. Should you fail to comply with this, you will be asked to quit the team immediately.

You need to have an approved ency, as this is the first sign which shows your commitment and basic understanding of our community.

Usually, the position will be given based on first come-first serve. However, if the position you choose is not available, we are sorry that we can't add you right away. If you wish to apply for another position, please feel free to do so using a new form (this is to ensure that your new application comes after someone else's old application form, to be just). Furthermore, we regretfully won't accept application that shows lack of understanding, such as requesting to be a type of host which are clearly not a part of our team.
