Though they loved her they’d gotten so used to natural intelligence they never thought about her failing. That added pressure to her growing up. She’d isolated herself for her childhood trying to read up on magic. She’d tried and tried but she could never understand the books as well as she should have. Now that she’s on her way to Hogwarts she’s praying her luck will change.
