The rehearsal room held the stillness of a chapel, broken only by the slight creak of the floorboards as Elisa stepped inside. The dark stone walls held the polish of countless rehearsals as the long arched windows filtered the light into long, gloomy bars on the floor. She found herself holding her violin close, her father's last gift, knowing well that the stillness of the room would be short-lived.

She slowly lifted the violin to her shoulder and adjusted it in a practiced manner, the familiar curve of the instrument setting under her jaw. For a second, she remained still, as the bow hovered over the strings, ready to play, as she savoured the final moments of silence of the room before surrendering to the depth of music. Slowly, she drew the bow across the strings of the violin, her actions slow yet calculated, the first sound produced spread around the room like a held breath finally releasing after a prolonged wait.

As she began with the Praeludium, the music moved with a purpose held deep in it, each note played in a long yet controlled way, pressing carefully into the air as if she was testing how much of the weight it would bear. Her bow moved gently, coaxing the melody to come out rather than forcing it. The music began folding by itself, in a tense yet deliberate way. Elisa held it in such a way, refusing to rush it.

The room listened as the music spread around the room, gnawing the stone walls, and lingering beneath the ornate chandelier. Every note is shaped by silent intensity as it is produced as if Elisa was gathering piece by piece of herself, which she lost in the recent few months, within the music. Her eyes remained tightly shut as her hands worked, but then the control broke as the Allegro surged forward in a sudden motion. Her fingers flew, strong yet precise, the music no longer asking permission as it filled the room with heat and urgency.

The notes split one into the next, driven by the fire and momentum inside her as grief transformed into something much sharper and alive as the sound hit the walls and returned towards her stronger, as she played it breathless and unafraid.

Memories passed through her mind of the recent happenings, of the accident as she found herself getting lost in the beauty of music and solitude.

𝕀t had been four months since the new school year rolled in. During those four months, two out of it, Cash was in denial. Because of personal matter that affected their mental condition, Cash had to leave the school for one whole year. And when they returned back to Hogwarts again, the green eyes must accepted the fact that they might not graduate with their fellow peers that began the same academic journey all those seven years ago as them.

Right now, the young Ironwoods lay on their bed in their dorm. Bored out of their mind because Cash had no idea of what they will going to do for the day. Usually, the young socialite did not mind the cold of the Scottish Highland air. But today, the Sixth year decided to stay indoor. Basking the warmth that the castle provided.

Their green eyes averted to their loyal companion. Aero. The black and yellow Emerald Gazer snake curled in one of the corner of Cash's room, unbothered by the inner boredom its owner face. The snake then slithers up to Cash from his nap. His head poked up. His beady yellow eyes looked at Cash intently.

"What do you think we should do today?"The Second-String Keeper asked their pet. "Music. Room"."What?
"Cash inquired the snake again. Aero, without any further explanation, had slithers away and tapped softly the door of Cash's dorm.

Cash sat up from their previous position. "We're going out then"Cash said to no one but themselves. As Aero forced Cash to leave the comfortness confinement that was their dorm room, the former Beater of Slytherin followed where their snake headed.

Flight of stairs Cash had climbed and Aero had escorted Cash to the Rehearsal Room. "Wait! you can't go in there"The green eyes told the snake when Cash heard the unmistakeable of melody from someone playing some sort of strings instrument inside of the room.

As Aero did not heed what they said. Cash lingered in front of the Rehearsal Room door listening to every bar and melody that the Violist produced from her instrument. Cash could feel the player's emotion. Anger. Heartbreak. Sadness. And other feelings that only music can transcendence.

Cash was unsure whether they need to step forward, announcing themselves or turned back around toward their dorm room since what Cash was witnessed right now was too personal. The green eyes felt like if they make another sound or step toward the room, it felt like Cash invaded the violist's personal space.

Therefore, Cash would linger on the doorway until the other girl either acknowledge Aero or Cash are in the vicinity with her.
