Potions and Friendships
There I was, entering the hidden dungeons of the great castle of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. It was a dark and rather cold place. The name "dungeon" gave the impression that many unpleasant things must have happened there in ancient times, even more so considering that one of the most formidable and evil wizards of all time once lived there. It was another Potions class. I was feeling very excited that day. I had made many friends and was doing very well in class. The professor was teaching about Potions and their types, as well as explaining a variety of poisons. That day we would learn how to prepare cures for such poisons, something very useful in truth and far from being something very basic. Once again, he gathered the class into pairs. I waited a moment to see who was free to form a pair with me. Looking at my book, reviewing the instructions for the fiftieth time that week, I noticed a girl with dark skin and brown hair approaching me. She was a Hufflepuff and seemed very excited.
-Hi, looking for a partner?-
I immediately turned to her, reading her expression and considering the context, I imagined what it was about: forming a pair. Right after the teacher asked, I noticed she had looked at me for a brief moment as she came towards me.
I was ready for another great friendship. She seemed like a really cool girl, and I've always liked the idea of having friends from Hufflepuff. After all, most of them were always kind, charismatic, and popular, and personally, I've always had great respect for the house because of its self-confidence. Here I would once again join a classmate who would apparently bring me many laughs and maybe even pranks that could both mark our memories and get us into real trouble, who knows?

It was time for another potions lesson, Olivia couldn't lie she was beginning to enjoy it, she never expected it to be as intresting as it was and surprisingly it came quite naturally to her. Afterall, she did enjoy cooking and one could argue that potions and cooking are not too different.
Today they were learning about how to make cures for poisons, which can easily occur as they were just students after all and could easily mix the wrong ingredients injuring themselves as a result. The professor had told the class to get into pairs, Olivia looked around the room and unfortunately her usual partners had either paired up with someone else or were missing from the lesson. She sighed, Oh well time to make another friend hopefully, she thought to herself. She saw a Ravelclaw boy, with black hair, blue eyes and was quite smartly presented, reading the potions book required for the class. He didn't seem to have a partner and this seemed like a good opportunity to get aquinted. Olivia smiled as she excitedly made her way over. She chuckled a little as the boy beat her to the question, "Yes, what do you say, want to work together?" she asked.
She was sure his name was Harry, she was silently competing with those who had a chance of doing better then her and he had already beat her a couple of times. She was actually looking forward to working with him.
She placed her bag down and looked at all the ingredients that had been spread out on the table. "My name is Olivia," she introduced with a smile. "I think we will ace this lesson," she added, "But you extract the mucas from the Flobberworm, I don't want to touch it if I can avoid it," she said, with a slight disgusted look. Being rich had it's perks and she didn’t like dealing with insects.

-Yes, what do you think, do you want to work with me?-, she asked.
-Of course! We'll be a great team!- he replied excitedly. -You're quite competitive, aren't you? I noticed how you like to keep up with other excellent students- he observed with a slight smile on his face.
The girl put her bag down and introduced herself with a smile. -My name is Olivia, I think we're going to rock this class- she added.
She seemed very enthusiastic, clearly demonstrating her Hufflepuff spirit, something Harry greatly appreciated. They both began preparing each ingredient of the potion. -Great! My name is Harry, and don’t open your books, just follow my instructions. While the others consult their books, we save time. Let’s divide the tasks and make sure each ingredient is properly prepared!-
-But you extract the mucin from the Flobber Worm, and I don’t even want to touch it if I can avoid it,- said Olivia. -Oh, alright then!- replied Harry, laughing. He quickly deduced that, judging by his behavior and some of his belongings, he must be from a wealthy family. Although he hadn’t told her, he had come to this conclusion through rational analysis.
After carefully extracting the mucin, Harry placed the worm aside, a little away from the girl, and the spoon away from the other ingredients. He seemed very careful, in the way he held each object, in cleaning the cauldron, and in the way he arranged the ingredients.
After that, they both prepared to make the antidote for common and uncommon potions. -As I said, let's divide the tasks. You can start by crushing the fire seeds in the mortar, remember to crush them roughly. While I open the Chizpurfle Shells, then I'll take care of the Billywig Stings and stir the cauldron, and while that's happening you take care of the bezoar and the second cauldron, remember to grind it into a very fine powder, unless you prefer to take care of my part or make the entire second potion- he replied, determined to be as efficient as possible.

Olivia smirked she had definitely paired up with the right person. Harry was just as confident as she was, I really hope we don't mess this up, she thought to herself. They were about to make Professor Lesmana proud and be the fastest potion makers in the class, she couldn't believe her luck.
"Lets divide the tasks, that sounds way more efficient," she agreed as she grabbed the fire seeds and placed them in the mortar, roughly crushing them into pieces. She glanced over at Harry to see if the Chizpurfle shells were ready. She just wanted to make sure they were before adding the fire seed pieces into the couldron.
She swiftly made her way over to the second couldron and grabbed 1 Bezoar and added it to the mortar ensuring she crushed it into a fine powder just like Harry emphasised before adding 4 measurements into the couldron.
She looked over at Harry once more, "Everything going well on your end?" she asked as she quickly looked through her book to see what to do next as Harry was still occupied with the first potion. She added 2 measures of Standard ingredient ensuring it was perfectly measured into the cauldron and turned the heat to medium for 5 seconds before waving her wand and letting it brew. Olivia couldn't help but smile as she looked around the classroom they were well ahead.
