Yes. You can backdate as far back as you'd like, however you can only forward date threads up to three (3) months.

Hi. I was wondering if you are allowed to use nameless cats/house elf’s etc. in your rps

You can make up your own house elves within reason, more information about faceless NPC's here, and you can also use them as dNPC's but they cannot give you an advantage or information your character doesn't know. Here's the info on NPC's.

As for cats you would only be able to mention them in the background, so that your character saw one, or maybe briefly petted one. I wouldn't go further than that as to fully rp with an pet you need to have it purchased one.

I was checking the list of places that only open for/with certain things/people, and I saw this

- Godric's Hollow - Sixth year
- Grimmauld Place - Fifth Year

Doesn't the bus pass also open up these places?

hi Julia, yes it does! the bus pass works as a tool to help you access to these places before others. just like you can access Hogsmeade with a fake form, but it'll open to you when you're in third grade
