A few simple scales on the guitar were enough for Ari's fingers to get used to playing in the cold and loosen his fingers. While he would probably never get completely used to playing in the cold, it never hurt to lessen the strain. Just as he wrapped up, he heard a clap. Looking up, he saw a girl who had to be Julia motioning for everyone to move over to her. He got up and set down his guitar, stretching for a moment before heading to where everyone else was and taking a seat on a surprisingly comfortable cushion on the ground.
She spoke confidently, thanking everyone for their interest in this project and her excitement to get things underway. She also announced the first song they would be doing as a group, a song called Viva La Vida. While he wasn't super familiar with the song, he had heard it a few times and could remember the general melody of it. It would take some time to learn it if he passed the audition, but from what he could recall, it didn't seem too technically difficult. At least they weren't beginning with a classical piece.
Julia then brought up that there was going to be a ballot vote for who would be band director. While she was one of the evident candidates, someone else was on the ballot too, someone named Ada. Granted, Ari knew nobody here at this audition save for the few Ravenclaws he had seen in passing in the common room, but both Ada and Julia seemed like nice people. It was going to be difficult to choose between two people he had never spoken with before or gotten to know.
After the slips of paper were handed out, everyone started to get up and head towards the box to place their vote. As the line grew shorter, Ari made his decision rather quickly. He scribbled the name on the piece of paper, folded it in half, and dropped it in the box before returning to his cushioned seat and waiting for what would happen next.

Thoughts
after a few minutes of Congo drumming Elowin stopped and Julia announced that we would now be voting for director. She handed around pieces of paper to write down the name of the person you wanted to vote for. Elowin looked at the piece of parchment oon her hands and thought for a minute. She considered her options. I can vote for either Ada or Julia. Well Ada seems nice and all but i dont know her that well. I am sure she would make a good director though! Elowin now moved her thoughts to Julia. I know Julia and she is really nice and i know she would be a very good director. But its a really hard choice!! Ok. I am going to Choose now She weighed her options, then scribbled down the name of the person she wanted as a director.
Elowin stared at her green handwriting wondering why she had put it in green. Oh well too late now! She hoped that she had made the right choice in choosing Julia.JULIA EVANS!!

Looking at the poster, Ava didn't even know there was a band in Hogwarts. Ava wanted to join it so badly, she always loved singing, but being on a stage, scared her a lot. 'What's the harm in being backstage,' she thought to herself. as she decided she would definitely check it out. Meeting Julia, the seer was really nervous, but the host was genuinely friendly. She handed her a note, regarding the auditions.
Ava wasn't sure which role she should apply for. "Maybe a script editor?" She wasn't sure, what if she wouldn't be good at it. She took a deep breath, convincing herself she could do it. She remembers her mother's words, telling her, reminding her, not to back out of things ever. And that's what she's going to do. She made her way to the auditions, remembering she was here for the role of script editor. "Does it even need an audition?" She didn't know, but how are they even going to audition for it? And what is her role, was she supposed to change the lyrics? Or change a few words? Ava had a lot of questions, and she didn't know who she was supposed to ask this to. She thought of asking Julia, but she would be busy with the actual auditions to oversee. So she sat down in a less crowded place, waiting for the auditions to complete.Hi Ava !

Although the auditions had ended, she noticed that everyone was supposed to vote for a director, but there were only two candidates, and she knew neither of them. So Ava, chose to vote for someone who wasn't a host. She really thought Julia was friendly, but knowing she was the host, she expected her to get most of the votes. The little girl felt a bit bad about it. So she went up to the box and put the small piece of paper in it.

Alex felt like her performance was good, but maybe Julia thought the opposite, though. That cozy sunset light had iluminated their faces while the soft song from the Congo Drums and her voice was on the air. Then, phe proved her ability to write and it just vaguely ended.
But now, that was already past. It was time to vote. It was time to vote for the director. The director. It was, by far, the most important vote for that band and she faced it exactly like that. There were only two contestants, but that didn't made the choice easier.
The first contestant was the current hostress, Julia Evans: a foreboding girl from Ravenclaw, with dark long hair and a confident smile. She was kind and curious, always with that smart look. At least, that was what she heard from the other students, and she didn't disagreed at all from what saw from Julia. A curious fact was that Alex knew that "Júlia" was also a portuguese name, due to her iberican origins.
The other was Ada Hawkins. Since this girl was from the same year and house as Alex, they met regularly. This girl was loyal, smart and, above all, she had and admirable personality. It was also a great choice, that amazing girl. At the first sight, she looked relaxed, with that short dark hair dyed red falling softly untill it aproached her shoulders.
'Yep, I think I know what to do now!' she and scribbled down the name of the loyal girl from Gryffindor on the paper that Julia gave her previouly.

It was time for the auditions to start. The first thing they were going to select was the director. Natasha sat near the side and gazed up at the stage. A cool breeze passed by the place and Natasha eagerly waited for the candidates.
The first person to walk on was Julia Evans. Julia was the person who made the Hogwarts Band. She was a dark - haired ravenclaw girl. Though she was an obvious choice for director, natasha still wanted to see who else would come up.
She left teh stage as Ada Hawkins was the next person to come. Natasha had met her a few times previously. Though they weren't really friends, natasha still liked her. She was really nice and Natasha always found her hair really cool. Her black hair was tipped with red and it looked so good one her. She was also a Gryffindor.
Ada also left the stage and natasha picked up a piece of parchment Julia gave her previously.
Natasha pondered the decision for a while but eventually knew who to pick. Ada was really smart and nice. Though Julia would also be a good director, natasha had a feeling that Ava would be even better.

After Riley arrived at the auditions, she sat down on one of the cushions Julia had kindly provided. She had set down her rose embroidered guitar case in the back of the room. She was smiling, excited to be able to join the school band. Julia started her introductions and thanked everyone for coming. Riley smiled and nodded kindly. "Next, I would like to inform you that the song chosen for this show, is Viva La Vida. Please do listen to it in you own time, should you be chosen for the show. And lastly, before we begin, remember to be kind and just. If you are not chosen, it's okay! Try harder next time. When choosing, I assure you the director and co-director will have no biases, and I shall make sure of it. Now! Let us get started!" Julia said, and with that, the auditions started. But first, yet another voting portion before the actual audition portion. Riley was growing annoyed of these votes, but she knew up was important. "First of all is the director. In this case, we will be voting. There are only 2 candidates, though I expected more, and their names are Julia Evans, me, and Ada Hawkins. They are written on the blackboard over there should you wish to see. You will be writing the name of your chosen candidate, folding the paper, then coming up and putting it in this box. To put it in, please form a line as to keep the area clear. Under no circumstances can you vote for yourself, or bribe someone for a vote." Julia said, before handing out little slips to vote. Riley kindly took a slip. It was a hard decision. Of course, she knew Julia better than Ada, but only slightly. She did know that both were very responsible, which made the decision incredibly hard. Riley decided to asses her choices. On the one hand, Julia was very professional. She had organized this club, after all. On the other hand, Ada was equally as professional. Ada was brave and bold, she could be a good leader. Julia was also a good leader though, she was very assertive. Ah, why did it have to be so hard to decide? Ok, she had to make her decision. After a minute of thinking, she make her decision. Riley scribbled a name down and got up to hand in her slip.♡♡♡♡♡♡

| xxx | Ada tentatively took her flute, from it's case and assembled it quickly. She loosened her lips and blew a soft melodious scale, the notes were clean and sharp as her fingers moved up and down to cover and uncover the holes and buttons. Then Julia cleared her throat and smiled down at everybody sitting in front of her. She explained what the band was and what song had been chosen for them all to play. Ada watched as she wrote neatly on the black board: "Julia Evans" and "Ada Hawkins". Ada didn't know why she signed up to be director, what made her think that anyone would choose her? Just a decision made in the heat of the moment she guessed. Even if she were allowed to vote for herself, she wouldn't. Julia was probably a better director than Ada would ever be... Ada took a quill from one of her jacket pockets and scribbled down in sloppy print: Julia .E. Ada would have been a good director, she was quite talented on the flute, and she had some good leadership qualities, but was she really up to the challenge? I listened as Julia asked us to now vote for director. I'd honestly not thought that we would be able to choose - I'd assumed that she would decide, as she was the founder of the band. However, when I got given the slip of paper, I pondered for a moment who to vote for. I'd never met either of them before, as far as I was aware, and there was nothing in particular to make me vote for either one of them - neither of them were in my year, I wasn't aware of any commitments that either of them had. So, it was just going to be a random choice.
I felt myself tilting my head to the side, determined to make the right choice for the band's future, but having nothing to go off. I hated these sorts of decisions. I decided to choose just by luck. I got out two pens - a red one, for Ada, and a blue one, for Julia. I put them both into my pocket, mixed them around in it, and pulled one out, ignoring the strange looks I was receiving from the people standing around me. I looked at the one I had pulled out - red. Apparently I was voting for Ada!

With the skill of Quidditch training, George dived and caught the flying keys. Panting, he stuffed it into his trunk lock. As he opened it, he saw a piece of parchment, which had been lying there for ages. He slit it open and read,George read it, shocked. Then he jumped. He grabbed his watch and put on his school robes. He raced off to the Rehearsal Room. There stood his piano. He picked it up, folded it, and heaved it out of the room. He pointed his wand at it and said, "Wingardium Leviosa!". The piano floated up. He guided it down to his Common Room. He tore off a piece of parchment and ran downstairs to the Great Hall. By now he was out of breath. He said "Accio quill and ink!". He caught them and went rushing to the Outdoor Club Area.Hi George!
