[WIP!] As a whole, Kayden Mae is a sweet girl, characterized largely by her ability to be eager about anything (except, perhaps, classes; she finds many of them tedious). She’s driven by a sense of justice, true to Gryffindor form, but both her loyalty to her loved ones, a well-known Hufflepuff trait, and her drive to not only reach for but attain her dreams (which change monthly), a Slytherin one, fall closely behind. She’s competitive to the core, and not always a good sport in the face of losing, which has sparked many a quarrel with her younger brother. She’s also incredibly sensitive, and her image means more to her than she cares to admit. Any attack on herself is often enough to driver her to tears. An attack on others, though, she despises, and is known for getting a little testy in the face of a bully. She has quite a temper at times, and if the right buttons are pushed, she’ll fly over the edge with claws out. This is exactly why she and her mother, who is even easier to rile and nearly as vulnerable to insult, end up fighting whenever they aren’t getting along fantastically. It’s about 50/50.

Reversely, when her head is level, Kayden Mae is wonderful at deciphering emotions, especially anyone she’s spent a decent amount of time with, and can have a very calming effect when she’d like to.

Kayden Mae is one of three children. Her older brother, Elliot, was born two years before her, and her younger, Jonah, two and a half years after. She is very close to both of them, especially Jonah, who’s the wind under her wings. While Elliot is competitive, he’s also a mediator, with a calming air to him and a tendency to think before he acts (he’s also their parents’ favorite, of course). Kayden Mae and Jonah are the opposite, with her taking the lead. They bicker a little but have yet to have any sort of serious fight, and Jonah admires his older sister with everything in him. He encourages her in everything. She’s close to her parents as well, but taking after her mother so closely means they fight quite a bit. She loves her, but they can both be very set in their ways at times, and the fact that both have sensitive hearts and sharp tongues can really test their relationship. Her father is more the easy going, playful type, and has always been her shoulder to cry on and ear to rant to in equal parts. As a whole, they’re a happy family with a collective competitive streak as far as you can see. They’re all talented athletes, and have spent countless hours playing Quidditch in various teams, most commonly the kids against the parents.

The Killians have lived in Galway, Ireland since Elliot was born, in the Killian wizarding ancestral mansion. It was originally Kayden Mae’s paternal grandmother’s home, and has been passed down. They have a large backyard where they have makeshift Quidditch posts and football goals set up, and numerous trees all around. Kayden has been exploring the home since she was old enough to walk, and enjoys painting the walls of unused corridors and rooms in bright, bold colors. Elliot frequently joins her, bringing a book with him, and the two will sometimes talk for hours as she works and other times rest in comfortable silence, a paint brush in the hand of one child and a book in that of another.

The first time Kayden Mae showed signs of magic, she was eight. She was playing a game of three-on-two Quidditch, her and her brothers against their parents, and after nearly dropping the Quaffle once, accidentally stuck it to her hand. It took a trip to St Mungo’s to separate the girl from the ball, and the staff, with whom she is decently well acquainted with, tease her to this day.

While Kayden Mae and her mother are close, they are far too similar to never argue. Both of them have sensitive hearts and intense tempers, so it doesn't take much to reduce either one to an argument that is equally as likely to end in screaming or in tears. Still, they love each other dearly, and arguments never last long. Besides being the biggest hotheads in their family, they're also the most athletic and competitive - which is saying something.

Ella Killian played Quidditch at Hogwarts in her second year, but an injury in the last match of the year kept her from playing again. She now works as a professional personal trainer for Quidditch players, and mostly works with local teams.

While he’s plenty competitive, Jason Killian won’t ever let his emotions get the best of him. He’s playful and open hearted, but extremely level headed, and as such, is often the voice of reason. Kayden Mae and her da are beyond close - he’s her closest confidante, and she’s his little girl, the daughter he’d wanted for years.

He’s a stay-at-home father, and tutored Elliot and Kayden Mae and still tutors Jonah.

Immediately another fight brews, and this time neither girl is willing to back down.

I am usually pretty active, although during the school day (9:00AM to somewhere between 3:00PM and 5:00PM) my activity my drop a little. I’m usually most active during the weekends. I don’t currently have any roleplays that are super active, so I’m pretty available, but that may change. I try to log on at the very least twice a day, but if I don’t I may not have access to my laptop or phone. Please do not send me multiple owls or DMs all saying the same thing. I promise I will answer when I can if I need to.

I average about 350-400 words per reply, but that’s not a set number, although I don’t generally struggle reaching 200. For starting a topic I may reach up to 700-800 (and once even 900 somehow, but that will probably never happen again), but after that will usually max out at about 400. That being said, the more I’m given, specifically in dialogue, the more I can write. I won’t write 400+ words if I’m getting 201 word responses.

My name’s Rehgan, but calling me Kayden Mae or Kayden works just fine. I’m a pretty experienced roleplayer - I started when I was 12, which was six years ago now - and I love writing, both in roleplay and for fanfiction (and poetry). I hope I don’t come across as like cold or whatever - I swear I’m not!

Going back to something I said earlier, I’m not interested in roleplaying romance on Kayden Mae’s side for at least a few years, partly just because I feel weird about being an adult roleplaying as a very young child in a relationship, but also because I personally think eleven (and twelve, and thirteen, and fourteen) is just too young. If you want your character to have a crush on mine, I’m totally fine with it! Just remember it won’t be reciprocated for awhile, if ever.
