Aly didn't even bother responding to Harlan's ribbing, peeling away from him as fast as she could once her penalty lap was over. She took the time to look at the state of the game. Her team was up by a decent bit points-wise, but were definitely suffering a deficit when it came to players; the Ravenclaw captain made a mental note to swing by the Hospital Wing after the match with some flowers and Cauldron Cakes to apologise to all of her teammates who had taken Bludgers or blatches in their quest to win the game.

Four Ravenclaws left in the air, one on the bench. Aly heaved a deep sigh, her mind racing. What to do next would certainly be the question...

Oonagh had joined the rest of her team in the air. Now all that was left for her to do, was to actually cause some mayhem. The grip on her beater bat tightened as she, with narrowed eyes, tried to make sense of the situation in the sky. Sadly she would not be able to exact revenge on the guy, who had sent her to the hospital wing last time.

Things were looking up for the Gryffindor team thus far. Though everyone could change in a matter of moments. Avery knew that all too well. She had experienced it in many a game she had played over the past year. She could only hope their luck didn’t run out as her loud boos against a strong Chaser on the Ravenclaw team filled the air. She winced as Mikey fell to the ground. She would have to make sure he was okay later. She was just glad it hadn’t been her to knock him out.

Wind roared past his ears as his grip slipped and the broom spun out from under him, the familiar rush of flight turning instantly into the sickening drop of gravity doing its job. Instinct kicked in before panic could. Mikey twisted his body mid fall, trying to slow the tumble the way he’d been taught shoulders turning, arms pulling in, anything to keep himself from hitting the ground like a sack of potatoes. The pitch rushed up far too quickly for his liking.

The Bench

Both second-string Seekers yelled at the top of their lungs at Aly. Avery's disparaging sounds echoed across the pitch, as did the more cheerful ones from Ophelia. Both were loud and clear.

Debuff Fouls

As much as one Harlan Montgomery tried to be very annoying to one Aly Salinger, he was not annoying enough. He would do his absolute best to get between her and the Snitch (although to our dear referee, it just looked like he was showing off to the fans). 'Mr Montgomery, you are aware that Starfish-and-Stick is generally a Keeper's move, no?'

The Quaffle

'Huh, it looks like Ravenclaw aren't doing anything with the Quaffle... must be tough, only having four players on the pitch... well, it's an open goal for Mr Buckley...'

Gryffindor would seize the advantage of numbers and send their Keeper to go after the Quaffle; with no one blocking Ravenclaw's goals, Frederick would have an easy go of it... or so one would think.

'Ten points – oh, what's that!? Buckley seems to have hurt himself. That really can't be good for you, don't do that. Er, twenty, thirty, yes, forty points to Gryffindor.'

The Snitch

With Aodhan zooming about on a penalty lap, there was no Snitch-worthy work for him to do. Aly, however, did not have that problem. Having not been too bothered by Harlan's antics earlier, she beelined for the snitch. As her hand closed around it, it tried to squirm out, but she was just able to keep it within her fingers.

'Salinger has done it! The Snitch has been caught! That is 150 points to Ravenclaw!'

The Beaters

Despite that exhilarating catch of the Snitch, Oonagh was not done doing beater things. It took no time at all for her to levy a bludger at Aly, except Aston flew in front of her and took it like a champ.

'Yikes, it's going towards Salinger – oh, what? Huh! Beckett takes a bludger. Hey, that's alliteration! Er, well, erm... that doesn't look great, but he's still flying. Wow. Quidditch is insane. OH. And Brown managed to get that to bounce off? How do they even... oh, whoa, that was an absolutely epic dodge from Greymond!'

Quidditch players were absolutely built different.

KOB Fouls

Did bold and chivalrous necessarily equal aggressive? Who knew, but the Gryffindor Quidditch players were certainly out for blood now that they had more in numbers. Alphonse flew straight at Damien, but while he would still collide with the other boy, it seemed the damage did more of a number on him than Damien, who remained firmly on his broom.

'Toussaint, going into something headfirst doesn't exactly mean doing that. Shake it off. Oh, yeah – penalty lap, too.' Not that it really mattered, as the game was over with Aly's catch of the Snitch, but it was the principle of the matter!
