Dinner with a new friend
Great Hall 08-03-2026 mentions: @Laverne Taylor 208 words
It was safe to say that Ophelia was exhausted. Today's lessons had taken a toll on her. Not that she didn't enjoy being present in the classes, but she hadn't slept well the night before -doing homework while chatting with your friends can be... distracting-, and she was looking forward to flopping down on her warm and soft and, did I mention warm(?) bed.
In the Great Hall during dinner, she sat down next to some of her friends in front of a girl she'd only seen in class. She was also a Gryffindor, of course, but Ophelia hadn't really interacted with her much. Curious. That was how she was feeling about the girl, and how she imagined the girl to be.
Seeing as Ophelia's friends were bickering with each other, Ophelia took her chance and leaned forward. "Hey," she smiled. "You're Laverne, right? Heard your name in class today."
Ophelia wasn't sure if she should've said that. Laverne's name was said a lot of times during class, but Ophelia just never paid any attention to the names getting called out by the professors. She sometimes didn't even hear her own name until someone nudged her or the professor was already standing in front of her with a raised eyebrow.

Dinner with a new friend

OMG, such classes! Laverne was glad it was over now. Food treats everything! She was getting ready to eat when a group of noisy girls came and sat in front of her. There was one girl she had seen in class. Laverne wondered whether she was in Gryffindor. Mehh, it didn't matter to her.
Just as she was about to eat, the girl in front of her said,
Then she smiled and said,"Hey,"
Laverne jerked her head up, still holding a plate of chicken steak in her hand. She began to speak, but then noticed there is a thing called manners. So she placed her plate of absolutely delicious chicken steak aside and replied,"You're Laverne, right? Heard your name in class today."
Laverne wondered how she knew her name. Did the professors called hers? If they did, she didn't notice. Then she continued to eat, but the girl's friends were bickering soooooo much had she had to sit somewhere else. That was great because there was more chicken there. Then she looked back at the place she was sitting at. The girl was looking disappointed, so Laverne gave her a small smile and continued to eat. Once she was finished she looked back. The girl had left. Laverne had completed her dinner fast so that she could talk to her. She dashed out of the hall to find her."Ohh, yeah I'm Laverne, Laverne Taylor. And you are? I didn't hear your name in class."
