Outdoor Club Area

A small portion of the Hogwarts grounds appears to have a mind of its own, constantly shifting in terrain and inhabitants. Never the type to let things go to waste, Hogwarts utilizes this space to host outdoor clubs and activities.

For adrenaline seekers, the fluctuating nature of this patch of land makes it the perfect venue for broom racing. On race days, colorful flags and markers adorn the course, always reflecting the colors of the racing teams. The enchanted ground has become a wonder in the world of broom racing, and inspired the modern use of natural encounters for the sport as opposed to the wizard-made obstacles and smooth tracks used in the past.

There is a patch of land that has not shifted in recent memory, which houses a handful of small but important parts of the club area. Wooden bleachers stand at the permanently standing broom racing starting line, neighboring a tall raised platform used for official observing and announcing of the races.

Behind the bleachers, protected from the volatile ground, sits a spacious clearing adorned with lush, emerald-green grass—a natural amphitheater that serves as the focal point for a myriad of outdoor student-led activities. A series of tall, thin trees with broad canopies provide ample shade, creating cozy nooks for contemplation or socializing. This area is equipped with charming wooden benches and tables, inviting students to gather for picnics, study sessions, or a fierce game of exploding snap.
