The Stables
This post is meant to give you an idea of this area for any RPs you may wish to do. You are more than welcome to RP on this board, though remember the Forbidden Forest is restricted as is the inside of the main enclosure/stables.
The Forbidden Forest looming beyond, a taunting and frightening doom just beside the stables, is quite a sight to see. However, we are today exploring the stables of Hogwarts. Here sits a large building, built of stone and weathered from years of use and conditions. Compared to the large, often intimidating, castle beyond, the stables look homey and maybe even shabby in comparison. The current professor has evidently attempted to mask this by gently scrubbing stone in her off time. Within the stables, nearby students can hear the noises of creatures moving within or the occasional rustling bush from the outskirts of the forest.
Up above, small windows lined with wood are along the sides of the stables, adorned with carvings by a former professor. They have been untouched, but otherwise cleaned out carefully with a gentle hand and a small washcloth. Between some iron bars on certain windows, ivy and other plant growth peeks out and begins to worm its way around the bars. Other windows are cracked for some air, and others still are purely for cosmetic purposes: beautiful stained glass, the color faded slightly from years of use.
The only way in is a large and sturdy wooden door well-protected by a powerful spell--no unlocking charm will work on this door. Hanging upon it is a sign, written with curly lettering, that reads 'NO ENTRY WITHOUT PROFESSOR'.
Attached to the main stable is an outdoor enclosure, also stone, decorated with murals from many professors and students before. It can almost be described as graffiti, the way that the paintings overlap with one another without any care for what was there before or what will come in the future.
Lastly, there is a large fenced off section of land. A low fence separates it from the outside world, and in the center is a fire pit. Surrounding this fire pit is a myriad of seats, all stumps from trees. A few are overturned on their side, leading to a truly mismatched seating arrangement for all those involved. The fire pit is not on unless there is a class and it is cold out.
OOC note: Thank you to Sabine Blumenthal for the description of The Stables.
