~ A Ride To Hogwarts ~

As I arrive with my suitcases on the platform, I turn and smile at my mom. "I'm going to miss you so much Mads!" She says to me, I smile and hug her tight. It'll be my first time away from her. I look to my father next to her. My smile fades a little but I give him a polite nod. He nods back and hands me a letter. I've never gotten anything from him before. I smile brightly at him as I take it, he doesn't reciprocate.
I turn as I hear the train making noise. "Bye, I love you!" I yell behind me as I rush to get into the train. As I walk through the cabins, I'm overcome by a wave of sadness. Warren would've loved this. I shake my head as to get rid of those thoughts, this is a happy moment. I look through the cabins and find an empty one. I jump as I struggle to get my bag in the overhead storage but I manage. Sitting down near the window, I look at the letter in my hand. Should I open it? I decide I should relax and I'll open it in my dormitory.
I look out my window and admire the beautiful landscape, wondering what Hogwarts would hold for me.

~ A Ride To Hogwarts ~
Winter ran past the pillar between platform 93/4 nervously. She closed her eyes tightly. Her muggle mother followed her as Winter ran through the pillar. ‘All aboard! Come on, quickly. The train is about to leave.’ Winter opened her eyes. She could not believe that she actually did it! She quickly ran to the train and got on. She waved her mother goodbye as the train starts moving. She pushed her trolley and tries to find a compartment with not many people. She walked compartments after compartments. The corridor was narrow and bumpy, making her trolley wobble with every step. She peeked into one compartment—full of older students laughing loudly. Another held a sleeping boy with an owl on his lap. Winter kept walking, her heart pounding. A third compartment had a cat sleeping on a seat. A fourth was empty but smelled strongly of rotting flesh and sewage to skunk spray and stagnant water. Finally, near the end of the train, soon, she luckily stumbled upon a compartment with only one little girl who is holding an envelope and decides to sit there. She gently slided open the glass door and sweetly said, ‘Hello! I’m Winter. Is this seat taken? Everywhere else on the train is full’
