History/Background Story: Oswald was born in Cologne , Germany. His parents met when both where studying in the same local (in Cologne) university. His mother was was born and grew up there, while his father moved there from Britain to study abroad.
They packed all they had when he was around 3 years old and moved to London, to his great-parents' (father's parents) home , in which they still live nowdays.
The family did make many trips - to the beaches in South England , to wandering through the country side and highlands in Scottland. He also visited Cologne a couple times , where he spended some time with his german grandmother, who also came to visit them on Christmas .
He did visit a private school in London. He did play football every now and then, while he mostly sat down somewhere alone to read a book. This did anger some of his fellow pupils. Some called him weird and made fun of him for being "such a nerd" or "bookworm".
His time on Hogwarts was quite eventful by his standards. He met some interesting people in his first year, learning things he never ever could've even imagined. He was a bit lost in the first days and weeks, but he eventually got used to it.

Relationships
Family
-Adam-Preston Vanigton: Oswald's father is a quite ambitious and hard working man . He is a snobby person and thinks a person's worth depends on it's education and social status. He is proud of his job as a professor for buisness administration. Adam dislikes that Oswald visits Hogwarts, because it seems like a waste of time and effort to him.
-Laura Vanigton (Rallmeier): Oswald's mother was different then his father. She was a sweet-hearted and kind person, she did not care about money or intelligence. She worked as a doctor in a local hospital. She had mixed feelings about Oswald's invitation to Hogwarts. She feared for his life but also saw that it would be a big opportunity for him.
-Archibald Vanigton: His uncle was a intelligent , but slightly quirky man. He did not had any children, but treated Oswald as his own son. He introduced him to different kinds of literature, most of all : Poems. Adam does not hold Archibald in high regards, because he is more of a dreamer , living in the books and poems he reads and writes. He was a great inspiration for Oswald and his love for poems.
-Gloria Vanigton: Gloria was the only wizard within the Vanigton bloodline , for some generations. Oswald never met her and did not receive many informations about her , after the invitation arrived. She apparently was Adam's and Archibald's older sister , who joined Hogwarts and "abbandoned the family" as his father and grand parents always said. Archie on the other hand thought that she was a tough and proud woman, sometimes a bit rude to her brothers, but more or less friendly. She left the family after her graduation and never came back, never sended a message (mail or e-mail) to any family member.
-Sir Leopold Vanigton : His grandfather was quite like his dad; a snob , proud of his intelligence but also his title - the Vanigtons were lower nobility (Baronets).
-Lady Anne Vanigton (Willows): His grandmother was a bitter and old woman. She did not really care for Oswald , for he was "not a really englishman". She was quite biased and thought of other countries and cultures less. She never understood Adam's decision to study in Cologne and especially to marry a german woman. Nonetheless, he (Adam) was her favorite child.
-Gertrud Rallmeier: Laura's mother was a nice old woman. She always tried to talk german with Oswald when they met on holidays , with more or less good results. But he did not need to speak with her, to understand that she loves him. She always hugged him, gave him sweets and candies and cooked perfect food, whenever they visited her.
Gryffindor
-Griseldis Edelhardt: He did not interact with her directly, yet. He met her in the library ; time will tell how their relationship will turn out.
-Eileen Tibbets: They also met in the library just briefly. He saw how she ran into a Ravenclaw but appologized and gave her and the Ravenclaw girl an advice.
-Meenauh Silmataurea: They shared a compartment on the ride to Hogwarts. He doesn't know how he feels about her, but she seems like a more or less alright person.
Ravenclaw
-Alan Noble: He just met him lately in the library with a huge pile of books ; he is quite impressed.
-Roxanne Durand: He met her in the library when a Gryffindor girl ran right into her. He noticed that she seems quite lost and told her about some books she could read.
-Angellica Rowley: He met her on a train ride to Hogwarts. She seemed like a quite intelligent and civilized person ; like a noble lady.
Hufflepuff
-Abigail Sparks: Their first encounter was on their ride on Hogwarts. She was a kind and lovely person. She seemed like THE ideal Hufflepuff.
Slytherin
-Dan Palmer: Dan is Oswald's first boyfriend and best friend in Hogwarts. Atleast he hopes that they still are. Oswald did not see him for quite some time , for reasons yet unknown to the public.
