After an hour of walking around Hogwarts ground with nothing to do and no luck finding her brothers, she gave up.

Alexis stopped at the library entrance, debating whether or not she should go inside.
What am I going to do?
Reading always help pass the time though.

Without giving herself more time to change her mind, Alexis walked right into the library and straight to the book shelves. She runs her finger along with the book's spines, reading the titles. She stopped walking in front of one section...
History

She smiled and walked right in.
Hmm... Hogwarts: A History by Bathilda Bagshot?
This is it then.
She grabbed the book in her hand, examined the cover once more and started walking towards the reading area.

Alexis looked around, trying to find an isolated spot that far away from chatting groups of students enough for her liking.
She spotted a table near the back of the library.
Perfect!
She sat down and started reading peacefully. Her eyes gazed from words to words and her fingers continued to turned pages after pages, she thought...
Is this going to be how I spend my time at Hogwarts? Reading alone on the library?
Alexis sat there, continued her reading and debating if this is a a to spend her quality time? And she remembered her father's words... Friend is what gonna make your time at Hogwarts worth remembering, Lexi.

Alexander walked through the hallowed halls of the Library. Walking past bookshelves which were almost the height of giants.
Amongst these, his own lithe figure stood out as tiny. Walking past the bookshelves with several pairs of books in his left hands. Whilst having about a dozen pieces of parchment in his right hand as he walked towards his usual spot in the library.

His hair was a little ruffled as he had not had much time to prepare himself this morning. Only having had the time to grab some breakfast before heading down to potions.

Alexander let out a loud sigh

He missed having a clock to wake him up every day. But to lose that small device was more than worth it to practice magic. Even if practicing magic included much more writing than he had hoped.

But finally, after a long day of lessons he had the opportunity to catch up with his homework. Especially with Astronomy. He himself was less than pleased with his Adequate.

Then as he turned the corner and walked to his usual spot. His mind distracted by the astronomical distance between Mars and the sun.

This resulted in Alexander not paying attention to his surroundings and almost walking into the Girl who was sitting at the table. As he suddenly stopped Alexander accidentally let go of some of the pieces of parchment in his right hand which subsequently all tumbled onto the ground.

Alexander quickly and nervously spoke to the girl in front of him.

"Sorry I didn't see you." His cheeks turning red from embarrassment.

Just after he had finished saying that he put his books on the table and quickly attempted to gather his parchment into a somewhat coherent pile.

Aida entered the library looking for a comfortable nook to burrow into, hoping to feel a little more at peace. Everything about her life now seemed to be uprooted and blowing about in a terribly restless wind. There was a pain in her chest from the stress, not knowing if this place would accept her for who she is or if it would deem her inadequate... raising her hopes up with the sorting ceremony only to dash them on the cobblestone as soon as the first person she met really began to have a grasp of how weird and unlikeable she really is.

"No matter," she whispered to herself. "I'm sure there is a book in here that will help me."

Aida wandered the halls, intimidated by the tremendous breadth of topics that were possible, knowing that any one section would require a lifetime of study to be any good at. She really felt she didn't have enough time available in her life; she would have liked to do so many things. How was it that there was never enough time?

Suddenly there was a clatter at the end of the aisle where some parchment had fallen. Aida saw a girl there, next to a boy with his cheeks blushing. One part of her wondered if she was interrupting something that was special between them, but she couldn't back out now. They were between her and the exit, and she either had to gather the courage to speak, or come off as rude or cowardly.

"What are you reading? Are any of those by Newt Scamander?" asked Aida boldy.

By this point, Alexander had picked up the parchment that had fallen onto the ground and had put it on the nearby table. The other lady seeming to be unresponsive.

Then behind him, he heard someone ask him a question.
"What are you reading? Are any of those by Newt Scamander?"
He quickly turned around, his head swiveling in the direction of the sound and saw that there was another Ravenclaw student standing near him. He quickly ran his right hand through his hand, with small patches of ink staining his flesh. Probably from having his hand lean into recently written ink.

He then responded to the bold question in a tone that was still a little flustered. "I am afraid not. It is mostly some astronomy and DADA notes. As well as The Dark Forces: A Guide to Self-Protection" After saying that last bit he muttered mostly to himself. "All with capitalized letters" before ending with.

"and a book on magical theory."

He then shot a question back at the girl. A tone of curiosity evident in his voice. "IF I may, what is your name? I have not seen you around before. Though to be fair I have mostly been focused on my own homework and adjusting to Hogwarts in general."

Motes of dust danced in the white-gold light streaming in from the iron-wrought window panes. The strong fragrance of books and parchment both new and ancient permeated every surface. As Aida stepped forward to reply a strong beam of light struck her shockingly white hair, diffusing through her wild mane and giving her head a subtle halo. Light violet-blue eyes shone out at the boy like a frozen flame.

My name’s Aida. Aida Mòrsgor-Ama Ellwood. You’re right, I just got here and haven’t even started classes yet. Do you like libraries? I guess you must be new here too. Do you like Slytherin?” Aida coughed, knowing she might be overwhelming the boy. “Sorry, I know I talk really fast. I never even asked your name – what is it? That’s an impressive collection of difficult subjects you’re reading. You must be very clever. If I had all the time in the world I would learn everything. Do you think it’s possible to learn everything in the universe? I mean, there’s magic. How could that work?” The incredible unceasing torrent of questions and excitement streamed out of Aida with lightning speed. “...Sorry, I’m just kind of happy to talk to you.

After her Charms class Elisa entered the library, she had been there before; adjusting to Hogwarts wasn´t easy, she still had not made friends. Anyways, she was amazed by the amount of books, she felt safe in the library with the never-ending bookshelves stood upon her. She had brought parchment, it would help her to take notes about the book; she valued every piece of knowledge.

She quickly scanned the room, dim light covered the excessively high bookshelves. She had brought a book of her own, one she had been willing to read for such a long time “Fantastic Beasts and where to find them,” her brothers used to talk about the book; she knew it was an exquisite piece.

As she scanned the room, she found three people standing there, they looked about her age. There was a boy and two girls, the boy seemed busy, he had numerous books and parchment. She walked passed them, not before she saluted them. She said “Hi,” it was the only thing she thought about. Hi, what a silly way to introducing yourself to others, she felt ashamed for saying a single word; that wasn’t the way she should act, she had a high status, she tried to look self-assured, confident. She sat on a table and opened her book.

Finally, Alexis decided she should say something too, after just standing there and watch the interaction in front of her. She set her book down on the table in front of her and turned towards them.

"Umm... Hi? Nice book." she responded to the girl that just sat down nearby. Still a little confused about what's going on. One minute she was just sitting there, reading her book, then there is this boy almost walked into her and dropped a pile on parchment he was holding and then there is this girl, Aida, she gathered from her introduction earlier. Now, another girl just walked by and say hi?

What's going on? Should I introduce myself too? Would that be rude? Am I being rude? Am I interrupting?

Ugh! Whatever...

"I'm Alexis. Nice to meet you guys! You're Aida, right? What about you?" she smiled a little while speaking before she turned to the boy earlier and the girl that just sat down, realising she haven't heard either of them introduce themselves yet.

Before anyone could answer, she continued...
"By the way, I agree with Aida. That's an impressive collection you got there. How do you guys like it here? I mean study and stuff. How're adjusting? Do you guys have favourite subjects? Mine is DADA and Charms, you?"

Aida looked for what book the newcomer had brought: Fantastic Beasts. "Hi. It seems you've got my favorite book there. Are you enjoying it?"

Aida also looked over the first student at the scene with a gleam of humor in her eye. "It seems you're popular, Alexis. All you have to do is sit down and all these people flock to you like birds to a feeder." Aida shifted her weight onto her other foot and the light that was shining through her hair skimmed over one of her pale violet eyes, making it glimmer a little and wince slightly until Aida stepped closer to the table, next to the boy who had dropped the parchment.

"I love this library; it's a like portal to a million dimensions. I have also walked the grounds and seen the edge of the stables, but that's it so far, other than my dorm. It's good to have so much wilderness around. I've only been to a big city once in my life, on my way here, and I was afraid it would be all cramped and smelly here like in Glasgow." Aida's rapid speech could sometimes be hard to follow in combination with her strong highlander accent. "I guess I should try to become a magizoologist since the only thing I've really known all my life is animals. Sometimes I get this feeling, though, that my true path is beyond that... something else is calling me, has been calling me since birth... but creatures are like home to me. I don't know. It's all so murky now. What has captured your interest in DADA and charms?" Aida smiled at Alexis and also looked over at the boy. "...And you, too, why astronomy and DADA?"

Alexander's nervousness and embarrassment quickly went away, replaced by an amused confusion as the Ravenclaw girl spoke to him. He tried to follow the various questions she asked and was pretty sure he caught most of it. Whilst he was listening a small amused smile played around his lips. Then he calmly responded to the white-haired Ravenclaw girl.

" I guess I like libraries yet, Slytherin. It is not as History of Magic portrayed them as they were in the past but it takes a little adjusting too." He took a quick breath and responded again, speaking calmly."And I am mostly just above average in the smarts department, nothing special" Alexander said with a shrug, then with an intrigued look.

"Knowing everything, I would say that is practically impossible. Because new things always happen and not everything is recorded. Furthermore, it would be hard to know everything. I can't often remember what I had this morning. But if there was something like an immense supercomputer it could remember a lot of what happened at least. "

Then he gave the quirky but nice girl a little nervous smile and said. "Yeah it is nice to talk to people."

A new girl then approached and the girl from earlier responded, so Alexander turned to them and said. "Hi as well. Sorry for not introducing myself earlier. I am Alexander Varellion, first-year Slytherin at your service" Alexander said with a theatric hand movement.

As the conversation continued on Alexander felt the nervousness slowly go away. As he was now more focused on the conversation itself rather than his own doubts about it. The situation was a little quirky yes but a bit nice as well.

"and it is not that impressive. Mostly just homework." Alex responded as he was asked about the books he was holding. Giving a shrug as he spoke.

"And it is a bit hard adjusting yes but this is awesome as well. Just learning magic, in general, is just amazing. As for favorite subjects." Alex seemed to think for a moment.

"All subjects are amazing really. But as for my favorite, I would say Potions and Transfiguration. As they are more based on normal science which helps me understand their subject a bit more."

Alexis listened to the girl and the boy in front of her talk for a while. She started to feel more and more relaxed.

Alexis looked at the three of them for a moment and giggled before answered, "Popular? No way! And yeah, this library is fantastic. It's like my dream comes true!" Alexis looked around once more, taking in the sight of the enormous library, marvelling at the books around her.

She tucked her raven hair behind her ear and answered another question from the white-haired girl.
"I'm not certain why I like those two subjects, I guess I like casting spells and dark arts and dark creatures always fascinated me, beside my father is an auror and I really want to be like him." Alexis think about her own father and smiled. she really wants to be like him.

"You're from Glasgow? I've never to Scotland before. What it's like there? And you said you like animals right? What kind?" Alexis looked her curiously.

Alexis turned back at the Slytherin boy in front of her.
"Potions and Transfiguration? What's favourite potion then? What about transfiguration spell?"

Alexis stopped for a moment, thinking about what to say next.
"What do you guys think about quidditch?"
