A new Journey.

I was scared.

This morning, when my dad woke me up, he made me my favorite breakfast: Pancakes with chocolate chips.

But I saw his eyes. He probably cried all night.

And, honestly, I couldn't get much sleep. How was I supposed to live for that amount of time without my Pa? Boy, was I screwed.

He drove me to the Platform. And before leaving, he left me a box with chocolates for the trip. My favorites.

'Please, don't forgett about your old man.' He said, with tears on his eyes.

I tried not to cry.

'You're not that old, pa.'

And finally, I left.

The first thing I noticed when I walked into the Platform was the noise. There was a lot of noise. Then, the people. I almost ran out back into my dad.

But no. I had to be strong.

'Breathe.' I heard my dad's voice in my head.

'Breathe.'

I found a corner where I could be alone. I sat there, on the floor, and waited.

I finally heard the noise of the train. There was it.

I waited for some people to get in there before grabbing my stuff and standing up, walking towards the train.

Hogwarts Express.

One thing was reading about it on the books mom left me, but seeing it was definitely another story.

I found a lonely compartment, and walked in there.

The train started moving a few minutes later.

I felt uneasy. I wish my mom was there to hold my hand, tell me everything was going to be fine.

But she wasn't.

After a few hours, I finished a book my dad had bought me a few days ago. It was about the Russian Revolution. At least, it helped the drumming of my chest.

I ate the chocolates from my dad, grateful that no one walked into my compartment in all the trip. I changed my clothes to the uniform, and tried to get some sleep.

But I couldn't. My mind was racing with a million thoughts per second.

What was my dad doing? Was he working, trying to distract himself? Was he crying? Was he at the cementery, talking to the grave of my mom, like he always did when he was stressed?

'I have to write to him as soon as I get the chance.' I thought.

Finally, the train stopped, and people started to get down.

My hands started shaking the second I got out and entered the crowd.

'Breathe.'

I got into one of the boats, careful not to touch any other kids who got up there, too, trying to make myself small so they couldn't see me.

'Breathe.'

Finally, we made it to Hogwarts, and...

It was greater than I ever imagined.

I couldn't help but smile.

I knew my journey was just about to begin.

"I was good. I was really good"
