It was past curfew. The night sky was clear, the stars were clearly visible, even with bare eyes on the night sky. The perfect opportunity for stargazing.
A raven haired girl, with a sicky pale skin, like a corpses was in the astronomy tower. Her name was Corvus. Her uniform was messy. The Ravenclaw tie around her neck not tied properly. No one ever taught her how to tie a tie. Her raven curls were hanging into her face, hiding the deep scars on her face. One exceptionally big and deep one was crossing her left eye. Her blue eyes were sharp and calculating.
She was stargazing. A telescope in front of her, and various books and notebooks around her. On tables and even on the ground. However since no one was nearby, her mess didn't bother anyone. She has always been a messy girl. Her mind always racing, she was always too occupied with her own thoughts to notice the mess around her.
She looked trough the telescope to observe the stars and write notes. The telescope was a magical one, so one could see more than with a muggle telescope. She thought that was fascinating and saw as an opportunity to learn more about the universe. She had so many questions and a thirst of curiosity that made her cross all of the boundaries and even break rules. She was rarely sleeping. Constantly doing research on topics that interested her to pursue her burning curiousity.
Suddenly she looked up from her telescope, due to having heard a voice coming from the stairs. Corvus was hoping it was not a teacher.

Arguably, Kirara knew better than to be out past curfew. There was a reason behind the rule— both faculty and students required sleep. She had her full battery of classes in the morning. They were confusing enough as-is without the additional burden of sleep deprivation.
Kira had experienced an extreme lack of sleep before. Quite often, actually, when she was back at the farmhouse, she chose to stay up reading, drawing, journaling, or on her computer in bed. It was rare for the house to be quiet before ten in the evening. Too often her siblings were arguing in the kitchen, running around outside, practicing their instruments in the sitting room. Then, having spent all their energy during daylight hours, they collapsed quickly after dinner in their respective rooms.
Kira had always stayed in her room even when she was awake. It was small but such was life with a massive number of siblings. She was lucky not to be sharing. Besides, it contained everything she needed: her bed, her desk, her books, her clothes, a secret snack stash, and a big window to look out of.
The same could not be said for her dorm. Privacy? Not a thing. It made sense that the rooms were not individuals as Hogwarts needed to fit many students into a small tower. However, did Kira enjoy sharing a room with so many other girls? Absolutely not. Such a dormitory as Bonelli's Eagle could not possibly have the same atmosphere as her room at home.
The castle, however, called to her. Hence, Kira found herself in the hallway outside of the Ravenclaw dormitories. She stood like a deer in the headlights— back stiff and jaw tight. There was no plan in her head aside from that she needed out.
Where was she supposed to go? Kira glanced down the corridor. She knew her way well enough in the light but not so much in darkness. A shadow on the wall shifted, causing the Ravenclaw girl to jump in fear. Was something coming? Kirara wasn't sure whether a prefect or a ghost would be worse. She had not crossed paths with either creature in a negative light yet and she wished to keep it that way.
Hence, Kira turned on her heel, ducking behind a corner and moving away from the suspicious shadow. She had little experience in troublemaking but she knew not to get caught. Her feet carried her swiftly towards the nearest stairwell. The Astronomy tower was a good place to station herself until the whatever-it-was moved further away. Most notorious miscreants did not loiter in classrooms at the wee hours of the night. The chance they would be checked? Low.
Kira stepped carefully into the room. Her Mary Janes were inherently loud shoes much to her chagrin.
"Oh." A simple reaction escaped the Ravenclaw's mouth. "Hi." Dark eyes scanned the room. The figure of a girl standing in front of a telescope came as a surprise. Of all places, she had sworn that the Astronomy tower would be empty. Still, she did not deem it suitable to leave just yet. She took the small, rebellious pleasure of pushing herself up onto a desk. Sitting in chairs was grossly overrated.

As I heard the other girl, I looked up from the telescope. I feared that she might get me into trouble first, however she just casually sat on the table next to my books. The astronomy and physics book, both wizard written books from the library and both Muggle books I have stolen from various places.
"Hi.."
I murmured under my breath. Great, I enjoyed my solitude and now I have been interrupted. However my antisocial behaviour was quickly met with my curiosity.
"What are you doing here at this hour?"
I questioned quietly and curiously.
"Please, don't snitch on me that I am here..."
I added
I observed the girl with my piercing blue eyes. She looked rather pretty. I ran a hand trough my raven hair to hide my scars on my pale skin, as pale as a corpse. There was one very prominent scar on my face which I could hide. It ran down from my forehead towards my cheek while it was crossing my left eye. It was deep and big. My raven locks didn't do a good job at hiding them. My action only caused my raven hair to get even more messy than it already was.

An eye twitched. Kirara had no intention of getting the girl in trouble. It would be idiotic, really. She too was out past curfew. Hence, by reporting this other individual, she too would be reported. A shiver ran down her spine at the thought. Kira disliked trouble. She did her best to avoid it during the daytime hours. In class, she raised her hand rarely but remained attentive and on task.
Being called out for disobedience meant... conflict. She chewed on her lip. It was hard to remember the last argument she had been in. Kirara did her best to maintain a reputation of calm kindness towards all students. Hence, this girl would receive the same treatment.
"Hi..." Kirara mirrored the girl's greeting with equal apprehension. She intended to take on a brighter tone yet the effort was lost to her stoic demeanor. It was out of her control. "I'm just... here." How ominous of her. In reality, the Ravenclaw did not wish to be snitched on either. It was best to provide as few details as possible. "Should I not be here?" Kira posed the question in earnest. Although she was intent on taking a walk through the castle at night, Kirara did not wish to be caught up in any mischief-making schemes this unknown person might be embarking on.
There was a noticeable scar on their face. From crime? It seemed like a silly possibility given their age. (She assumed the other girl was no more than a third year given height and appearance.) However, Kira was known for her runaway imagination. It was for that reason she grew to enjoy individuals such as this. A sense of mystery lent itself well to the Ravenclaw's creative projections.
A few rapid blinks escaped her dark eyes. "Why should I snitch on you? I'm here too. If we're getting in trouble then both of us are getting in trouble." The Ravenclaw's voice lowered. She did not want to attract the attention of anyone by talking too loudly. She brushed a stray hair out of her face. "What are you doing, anyway? If I'm allowed to ask."

"Right..."
I murmured quietly.
"Sorry, I just thought you were a prefect..."
I murmured quietly.
"I'm stargazing. It's one of my favourite activities here in hogwarts."
I said before I looked into the telescope again. I looked at my notebook. It was filled with calculations and small sketches of planets and black holes.
"So, what are you doing here?"
I questioned quietly while I wrote something into my notebook. Then I looked at her. My blue eyes were curious, my raven hair was messy, sticking out in all different kind of directions. My clothes were wrinkled and I looked chaotic, having a mess around me. Even my glasses were laying a bit unevenly on my nose. My skin pale, almost inhumanly and the scars added a slight edge to my overall messy look.
"I'm sorry for not introducing myself, I'm Corvus."
I said quietly and stepped closer to her, extending a pale, ink stained hand, one might hesitate to take, due to the fact that the ink wasn't dry on my hand yet.
"Sorry..."
I murmured quietly and wiped my hand on my wrinkled shirt, staining it navy blue. I muttered a curse under my breath and extended my hand again.
