Pets
Yes, you can have a pet here with you in Hogwarts. The pets we offer are however limited to cats, owls, toads, rats and pygmy puffs. Your pet serves as an NPC or a non-player character that you control. Without a pet (you can see them in a player's profile, for instance look at mine) then you cannot have a pet here with you in Hogwarts.

To learn more about getting a pet and which pets we have available, please refer to this thread.

Pets
To purchase a pet you need to do 6 things:

1.) You need to create a NEW thread in the Magical Menagerie tagged [Pet] with a topic title of your choice.
2.) You need to write a post that is at least 400 words where you pick out your pet.

Reducio
You can roleplay the shop keeper, the shop is simply run by an old couple with smiling faces and white hair. They are kind and funny, they are not creepy or cruel and they want each student to find the perfect animal to love. Ernest Witticker is about six feet tall with broad shoulders and a bit of a pot belly. He wares a pair of wire framed glasses and is usually seen wearing a flannel checkered shirt, a pair of blue jeans and a brimmed hat. While clean, he does not shave daily so he usually has some whiskers on his face. His wife, Anita Witticker is about a foot shorter, standing at five feet tall. Some first year students are taller than her in fact. She often wears floral dresses and smells like sugar cookies. In fact, that is because she often offers them to children as a treat if they have been well-behaved. She has short white hair that is curled and nicely styled and usually wears some make-up but nothing too noticeable, just enough to show she cares what she looks like.

While both are nice and friendly, neither of them are push-overs, nor are either of them muggles. Both of them are graduates of the Durmstrang Institute and capable wizards in their own right despite their age. If you attempt to vandalize, bully or steal a pet, they will not only notice but you will be regretting your trip to their quaint little shop for some time.

5.) You must provide us with a WORD COUNT at the end of your post.
4.) You must fill out the following form at the end of your post:

What animal do you wish to purchase?
What do you want to name it?
Is this a boy or a girl?
What is your pet's date of birth?

Code: Select all
What animal do you wish to purchase?
What do you want to name it?
Is this a boy or a girl?
What is your pet's date of birth?
5.) You must have the galleons to purchase the pet because we will be manually extracting this.
6.) After you have done all of this, please contact a Head of House (you can contact all of the Head of House even) so that they can give you your pet. Once they give you your pet, they will document in your thread that they have done so.
