Dear mother,

I'm writing this in the Ravenclaw common room, at night, it's gonna be curfew soon but I don't care. Yes, I've been sorted into this house called ravenclaw ? Its for people who are supposed to be clever or whatever. I think they've made a mistake, but it's too late now.

They have this weird stupid system of House points where henever you did something good, you get points for your assiged house. It's made to encourage rivalry and competition or something. I doesn't matter, it's just stupid.

Back home, if you did something good, nobody cared. If you did something bad, you just got more chores. Nobody was keeping score. Nobody was walking around with little stones changing colors. It was just... life. You did things and then other things happened.

I don't think people here know why they do things. They just do them because everyone else does.

I miss you. I don't know why I miss you so much, but you're not dead. You're just in Ireland, but I miss you like you're dead. Is that strange ? Well, it doesn't matter, I love you mother, you're the only person I love in this earth !


I hope sister Beatrice doesn't give you the hard chores and if she does, just say your back hurts. She can't prove it doesn't, can she ?
