He had seen the poster last Tuesday and had decided to sign up as he had experience with playing the guitar he sent Julia Evans an owl as instructed and had a reply the following Monday it read
He spent the entire day counting down the hours in till 4:30 pm when he came out of Herbology on the date of the auditions one rare sunny day for January he ran to his common room to collect his guitar which he had been cleaning for days to make it look respectable he also made a brief failed attempt to flatten his hair he wasn’t sure he would get the role as he played the acoustic guitar not a electric one he had also signed up for lights he arrived at the place of the auditions at precisely 4:45 the first thing he saw was cushions with a small number of people but soon realised how many people were auditioning for the band and his hopes got worst.Hi Nick!

After finishing her class, Hana's now super duper tired but she didn't forget about the meeting, cuz mainly, she wants to be there to show off her new electric guitar - a dark red, star shaped guitar. That's her new one and it's limited edition. But if she's going to be honest, her favourite one is the normal shaped dark red electric guitar with silver star patterns. So, she grabbed the new one.
Arriving at the venue, she's basically vibrating with excitement and nervousness. She's here to audition, not to chill and talk. Seeing that many people, she started to panic. A classic Hana behaviour. We're not here to panic. You've just warmed up before going out your dorm. Deep breathe and sing properly, just focus on not having your voice shaky, you're going to nail it.And another classic Hana behaviour incoming, she breathed one last time and pretended to be confident and cool, that's her goal for surviving Hogwarts.

Nyra had always wanted to join any orchestra or band at Hogwarts, because she loved to play on her very old violin she‘d got from her great grandmother. She had been asking different people when someone told her about the Hogwarts Band! This guy told her to speak with Julia Evans, and so she did. Julia was very kind and Nyra felt very comfortable while talking with her because she gave her that feeling of being home and being not alone. When Nyra went home Julia later sent her this letter:

Nyra was so happy when she got that letter she jumped in the air and hugged just a random guy that came around. Nyra wasn’t normally like this. Normally she was very shy and liked it to read and be very calm, but that time she just was so incredibly happy that she just had to do that to calm down a bit and start to concentrate on her preparation for the audition. Now on the 27th of January Nyra had put on her best skirt, it was a grey wool skirt with a very clever look, and the most beautiful pullover she could find, a yellow one which was handmade and so cosy. She tried not to shiver under that pressure she had. She was so nervous that she couldn’t even breathe properly. She had brought her Violin with her that she now squeezed it hoping that this could help getting calmer. She had the melody of the song she wanted to play in her mind like if it played none stop again and again. When she finally reached the location she was suddenly feeling very calm because she knew that she played very good. She knew she would show them what she could do. She knew that they would be very impressed.Hi Nyra!

“Harmony is so ecited she could just burst!” But the moment she caught a glimpse of the bold, colorful poster advertising open auditions for the Hio Band, she burst out: “Wow!” and blushed with excitement! She turned up and found the poster was colorful, sparkly and full of happy looking images of instruments like drums, guitars and flutes so she felt all excited about joining ‘the band’.
As she stood there with the flyer in her hand, she imagined herself on stage with other musicians, and it excited her. Clove couldn’t tell if she was more excited or nervous. Probably a mix of both. Why? Well she had just signed up to join a band. Yes, a band. She had been seeing posters all around Hogwarts about some band hosted by some Ravenclaw girl named Julia Evans. Clove brushes off the idea of joining immediately thinking it sounded boring and lame. But every time she walked past that poster she just couldn’t help imagining singing in a real band!
A few days later she finally gave in. She decided to owl this Julia girl and ask to come to auditions for the band and sing. And soon enough she got a response saying she could come to auditions! No going back now.. She thought.
So now today is the day. Auditions are in one hour. Oooh I hope I do ok! I should probably get cleaned up a little… Clove thought. She quickly changed into a nice school uniform, cute shoes, perked up her hair, and might have put a little makeup on..just to make her feel more confident.

Ari didn't exactly remember when he happened upon a poster regarding a band being formed, but one thing was for certain. He was signing himself up. He was doing just about anything he could to keep his mind occupied nowadays, but it also reminded him of a time back in his first year here when he attempted to start a band. That unfortunately fell through after the first meeting, but it didn't sway his desire to play music with others. So, he marked himself down as a singer, guitarist, and songwriter. While singing was definitely his strongest ability of the three, he also felt confident playing guitar. Songwriting was something he dabbled in off and on, but recently he was exploring it more.
After sending a letter to Julia, the fellow Ravenclaw spearheading this operation, she was quick to respond with the information he needed. January 27th from 5-6 at the outdoor club area. Ari was beyond familiar with that part of the school since that was where broom races were held and where he practiced between races. With ample time to not be late, he traded his school uniform for his usual wardrobe consisting of black, black, and more black. He grabbed his winter coat and acoustic guitar, then heading out to the audition.
There was already a decent number of students gathered outside, and Ari honestly felt really out of place. Everyone else was so young and small, there couldn't be anyone above second year here. It was inspiring to see this many younger students have such a passion for music much like his own. And even if he only knew this group for a couple more years, maybe he would make some friends. Friends were good for times like these.
He exchanged little waves and smiles with those he passed as he found an empty spot close by, setting down his guitar case and opening it up to retrieve the instrument while warming up his voice. Hopefully the cold wouldn't affect his singing too much, and nerves weren't really part of the equation. He knew he would do well; he'd been playing and singing most of his life. Auditions were still a competition though, and if someone outdid him, it would be well deserved. He could probably find something else to do in the group if what he wanted didn't work out. Still, he crossed his fingers and prepared to do his best.

Now, Denise was never really part of a band back in Comrie, a small town in the southern Highlands of Scotland, with not much music experience. On her way back to the Hufflepuff dormitories, she saw a poster.
Denise didn’t have much experience in music, but she felt something click inside her, telling her to do it. Just do it. While Denise can’t play an instrument, she certainly can be a songwriter or song editor, being able to write and edit songs, based on her personal experience. The band was hosted by Julia Evans, whom she personally didn’t know that well, but hey, there’s always time to do anything new. Denise loved to listen to music, usually on Spotify or another music streaming service, when studying back home, which increased after she was expelled and later homeschooled. For Denise, it’s better to try than never; who knows, she might get in.
After owling Julia on potential interest, she got a letter back, saying:Hi Denise!

On the night of the 26th of January, Denise couldn’t sleep. She was nervous, twisting around her bed in cold sweat. It was on 27th January, from 5-6 pm at the outdoor club area. Denise walked in with her nicest dress, which was a simple cream-toned white dress with pearl earrings, which, well, was her grandmother's. Denise arrived last minute, and counted internally, one, two… sixteen people! Denise knew that she might not make it… But there is always some hope…

My violin had just sat in a case in the corner of my dorm. However, when I saw a poster advertising a band, where they were looking for a violinist, I knew that it was time to take it out. I'd sent an owl to Julia Evans, and received a reply, telling me the details of the auditions. On the day, I went to the specified place, and looked around. It was mostly first years, however there were some older people as well. I knew that there was no need to be nervous, but I suddenly felt my heart sink down into my stomach - there were so many people, and I wasn't that good a violinist. However, I unpacked my violin, and played a quick warm-up, before putting it back into it's case to watch what was happening. I hoped that, even if I didn't get the role as violinist, I would be allowed to do backing vocals for the band. I sat down on the ground, and watched as everyone went past, and, hoping I wouldn't be needed for a while, pulled out a book from my bag, and read a few chapters, before looking back around to wait for anything to happen.

Its music ⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯ 𝕵ulia smiled, feeling excited. It was so nice to see the amount of people who had joined in her club! While there were mostly first or second years, there were a few third years and above, which made Julia happy. Seeing the variety of people made the band unique. Julia waited as people started arriving in a slow trickle. As people came, she made it a point to take up some small talk with each one of them. She wanted to make sure she was active and interactive in the band, and not just band-focused. Julia wanted to make sure their was somebody friend-like for everyone, and that they weren't alone. Many of them had signed up with their friends, and the first years probably hoping to socialize a little. As she went around, she even heard some people play their instruments or catch some people warming-up. Some had brought their own instruments along, but for those who didn't Julia had dug into the Room Of Requirement last night and found a few instruments for people to use. Julia waited until it was 5:10 then decided to begin. It was time. The world was in fate's hands now. ● ● ● ● ● Julia did a quick clap of her hands as she walked over to the center. She motioned for everyone to come in front of her as they started laying their instruments down and taking a seat either on the cushions or on the ground. Julia stood up, a little self-concious as she felt everybody's eyes on her, but channeled all her confidence into her voice and expression. During the holidays, due to some... unexpected events, she had become a master at masking her emotion, so showing a brave face was no problem, it was what she was most accomplished in anyway. Pushing those thoughts aside, she cleared her throat, smiled and said, "Hey guys! Welcome to the auditions! Firstly, thank you so much for joining the band! It is truly an honour to be hosting it", she paused for the bit of scattered applause, then went on saying, "Next, I would like to inform you that the song chosen for this show, is Viva La Vida. Please do listen to it in you own time, should you be chosen for the show.And lastly, before we begin, remember to be kind and just. If you are not chosen, it's okay! Try harder next time. When choosing, I assure you the director and co-director will have no biases, and I shall make sure of it. Now! Let us get started!" Once more, there was some scattered applause. Julia motioned for everyone to wait as she retrieved slips of paper from her bag. She started walking around, handing out the slips, while saying, "First of all is the director. In this case, we will be voting. There are only 2 candidates, though I expected more, and their names are Julia Evans, me, and Ada Hawkins. They are written on the blackboard over there should you wish to see. You will be writing the name of your chosen candidate, folding the paper, then coming up and putting it in this box. To put it in, please form a line as to keep the area clear. Under no circumstances can you vote for yourself, or bribe someone for a vote." Julia dragged over the borrowed blackboard and wrote the names down after handing the slips out. Then, she took out a ballot box from her bag and placed it on the small table. Julia waited in silence, before realizing she needed to vote too! She took out another piece of paper and grabbed a quill before writing down the only name she could.
