asha had been feeling lonely.
she had absolutley no friends. none at all.
oh, and she didn't have her phone.
hell is empty, and all the devils are here, thought the gen alpha.
so what did asha do to quell her loneliness?
what she always does when she feels lonely!
she went to the library.
her mother was a librarian after all, so asha had spent a lot of time in the library.
but unfourtunatley for asha, the library had none of the books she usually liked to read.
just boring spell and potion books, like the kind on her father's bookshelf.
asha was not going to survive a whole school year, let alone a month without new books.
so she decided to do something about it.
she sat down, took out a quill and paper, and started writing a letter to her mum.
dear mum...
words were flowing from asha's mind onto the paper as she wrote and wrote.
she asked her mum about her uncle raj, and if the restaurant was doing good.
she asked if it was possible for her to send asha some jalebi.
she told her mum how much she missed her.
and of course, asha added two books she wanted her mum to borrow from the library and send to her.
asha would send them back, of course.
she was deep in thought until a voice shook her from her writing.
"can i sit here?"
asha looked up.

“Can I sit here?” Flame asked the girl in front of her. She had come to the library to pick up a couple books and also see if they had any of her favourite Muggle books. Or any Muggle books at all though there seemed to be only like 3. Flame had been making several friends since she got here but almost all of them were in her house. Flame desperately wanted to make more than like 5 friends from other houses because. She loved making friends.
Flame sat down beside the girl. “Sorry I know you didn’t say anything but I have been on my feet all day and My legs feel like they are going to give out.” Flame gave the girl a very apologetic look hoping she would understand. “My name is Flame!” she said introducing herself. “I am a half blood which means my mom was a wizard and my dad was a muggle! I like soccer and reafing and drawing! Also friends I love my friends.” Flame hoped the girl wouldn’t think she was weird and would want to be friends with her. “What’s your name?” she asked the other girl sitting with her hopefully.

fuck, she's like really pretty. she also has a lot of energy.
asha blinked in suprise, causing an awkward silence.

Flame listened as the girl (Asha) who was sitting In front of her spoke about herself and what she liked. "my name is asha singh, and i'm also a half-blood. my dad was the wizard, while my mum was a muggle though. i like reading too! i also like writing, eating food, and travelling. if i'm being honest, i'd rather be at home right now. what's your favorite book? mine is caraval by stephanie garber." Flame smiled. "I also like to write and eat! Food is literally my Favorite food on the Planet! Though I can't really say that because food is made out of food right?!" Flame laughed. This girl was making her talk A lot. Flame was really intrested in being firends with her and thought it would be cool!
"Sorry, I talk alot! My favourite book is alot of diffent ones! I like Skander and the Unicorn Theif by A.F Steadman and Percy Jackson by Rick Riordan. “I don’t know about your not ship with Clay and Peril cause I kinda like them but my even better ship is Qibli and Winter. They sooo belong together! You should definitely try to read Warriors again! I love it so much! Oh and at some point you are going to have to show that fanart!” Flame said laughing.
“My favourite place to travel is actually during ther after Christmas season or During March Break! I love going to Florida with my family because it’s so warm there when it’s freezing cold where I am.” Flame put her bag down at her feet and started digging around. She pulled out a package of slightly squished chocolate chip cookies. She pulled two out kept one for herself and offered the other one to Asha.
“Here have a cookie! I made way too many the other day when I was stress baking about coming here!” Flame knew that it could be a hard change for some people especially her fellow muggles who had never even seen magic before. “So what are you? I am a half- blood. But judging by the fact that you have talked a lot about muggle books and fanart I am going to say you are either a muggle or a half- blood.”

"are we allowed to eat in the library?" asha nervously asked, tentatively taking the cookie from flame, and trying to hide that she was offended from flame's assumption that she was a muggle-born. "i mean, i love baking and eating, and cookies, but won't we get in trouble?" asha's mum would kill her if she saw asha eating in the library. "these smell amazing though! and yeah, i'm a half-blood. my dad's a pureblood, and my mum's a muggle. she's a librarian, so that's why i read a lot."
gosh asha really did talk a lot.

she liked flame, she but honestly, flame had a bit too much energy, and asha was lowkey exhausted from the day's work and was getting slightly-just very slightly-irritated.
but asha did like flame.
flame was sweet.

When Asha asked about if they were aloud food in the library Flame smiled. “Technically No. We are not aloud to have food in the library BUT. Since we are sort of in the study area it is okay as long as we don’t make a mess. Besides,” she added. “Librarian’s love me.” she winked at Asha. She was glad that she now had another half-blood to talk to cause she loved having friends that she had things in common with!
“I am glad you are a half blood like me!” she said truthfully. “If you want we can do a bake sesh sometime! I know how to bake lots of different things! How about you?” Flame stood up stretching. She was hungry and thirsty. “Hey,” she said to Asha. “Are you aloud into Hogsmeade? If you are I know a good place to get some drinks!” Flame really hoped Asha had found a way into Hogsmeade. There were so many fun things you could do there. “If not, she added “I could always pop down there, gra us some drinks and a couple treats, and the bring them back for us to share!” Flame hoped Asha liked Butterbeer.

and her father warned her how much trouble she would be in if she got detention, so she didn't want to break rules and sneak into hogsmeade.
it probably wasn't a good idea to do any of the things flame was suggesting.
but is sounded fun!

Flame smiled when Asha got confused. “I would never forgive myself if your mom murders you through your dreams!” Flame said laughing. “I am glad that you love baking to!!! We could to do many fun things!!” Flame said excitedly. And then there came the question of how Flame got into Hogsmeade. Flame didn’t know whether or not she could trust Asha but decided she would. flame dramatically lowered her voice to a whisper so much that she was positive that only Asha could hear it. “Yes I am a first year” she said quietly. “But I can still go to Hogsmeade.” she said that with a smirk. That part would most likely confuse Asha. Flame wondered whether or not she should continue. What if Asha immediately told on her after? Flame decided to take that risk. “you Do you want to know my secret?” she asked Asha mysteriously. “In Diagonal Alley there is a shop called Wesley’s Wizard Wheezezs. Go in and ask for Decklyn. Tell him Flame sent you and then say the word Hogsmeade.” Flame hoped she wasn’t making a mistake. “He will go somewhere into the shop for about ten minutes so while he is gone just look at other stuff by the desk. When he comes back he will hand you a piece of paper. Leave and then whenever you want to go to Hogsmeade show the paper to a teacher. Don’t forget to pay though.”
