April Fools' Pool Party
Interacting with @Jack Burnett @Adohiro Moira @Jack Warren @Annie Morgan
Willow couldn't deny that she was surprised when Jack had addressed her so pleasantly. It's not that they didn't leave off on bad terms, but the last time he saw her she was having a full mental breakdown during a birthday party. Her eyes drifted to the scars that littered her body and she wanted to reach out and hug him. She wanted to show him the words etched across her back and let him know that she had been there too, while not as bad, but she understood and felt for him. Maybe that was a conversation for another day. For now she quickly put her smile back on and made a dramatic pose to show off her swimsuit, "Thank you! I do love plants, especially flowers. My favorite are gardenias but no one really makes swimsuits with gardenias on them, so my second favorite is a good alternative!"
She turned to the new boy, Adohiro, that seemed to be wanting to get to know people and she was happy to oblige. "I'm from a small town in England called Willen. I also enjoy painting, friendship bracelet making, though Jack has an affinity to call them death sentences, and I also really love baking." Her attention was pulled with a familiar voice calling her name, and she quickly swam back over to the edge to greet him, Jack happened to join her as well. Which made sense since they seemed to be really close. "Ruka! The weather is perfect, you have to get in." A grin was plastered on her face, absolutely adoring the ability to swim in such lovely weather, thanks to Jack of course.
There were so many friends showing up and Willow didn't know how to deal with the excitement bubbling in her, her prefect and also fellow Quidditch player had joined in, and was so excited to have a fellow badger with her. "I'm glad you're here Annie! This is a nice break isn't it?" While she was talking she seemed to take in the moment of warmth, and she noticed a couple of other people joining. Someone she didn't recognize and then the Ravenclaw girl from the day of flight they had taken that she ended up hanging out with a bit before she left.
She was opening her mouth to greet them when a certain pestering badger that was starting to grow on her joined them... with a cannonball. Turning her head to avoid the majority of the splash, she grinned mischievously and dove underwater to meet him where he had jumped in. She arrived behind him and as he was getting his bearings from returning to the surface she used the power in her small legs to boost her up and latch around him. Her arms went around his neck and her legs locked around his chest. "Hey string bean! Fancy to meet you like this again!" She ruffled his now soaked hair. She noticed a timid Jake walking up and waved to him before trying to use her fellow badger like a mighty steed to bring her forth closer to Jake to say hello.
When Jack spoke again she gave him her full attention as it seemed like he was addressing the entire pool. Her hands moved from around Warren's neck to rest atop his head, laying her head on top of her hands. It was awfully kind of Jack to set this all up, and she'd have to thank him personally for it. A furious blush spread across her cheeks when he referenced her as the Goddess of Agriculture, Demeter. It was high praise in her eyes. She addressed the Jack she was clung on to after Burnett has finished speaking. "You hear that string bean? I'm a goddess so you better make sure to treat me as such. Or you'll have to face my agricultural wrath!" Pure joy was filling her heart in a way that she hadn't felt in a long time. For a moment she could believe they were all local neighborhood kids, no wizards, no muggles. Just kids. Finally getting to take a deep breath and let their worries wash away in the comfortably warm water.

Interacting with @Jack Burnett and @Willow Anderson
Mentioning Everyone Else
When he had first approached the make-shift pool, Ruka had had no idea what he was getting himself into. He'd only seen some familiar faces, and the water was warm and the weather was nice, so he'd decided to approach. The presence of Jack, of course, was always something that drew him in and made him feel more comfortable about stepping out of his comfort zone, so as he stood by the pool, with only a few people around, he still felt relatively comfortable.
He smiled at Willow as she urged him to come into the water, his fingers gliding smoothly across the water surface as she talked to him. "It sure seems pretty nice," he agreed lightly but made no move to go anywhere but where he was currently standing as he watched Jack make his way over to him to pat him on the back.
The feeling of a wet hand through his cloak and T shirt made him shiver slightly, and he chuckled bemusedly at the other boy. "Thanks," he started, nodding at Jack's request for him to get into the pool. He understood the implications that he could leave on his clothes if he preferred, and the notion made him eye Jack's torso with a little frown. The sight of scattered scars all across his pale skin left Ruka feeling slightly nauseous, but nobody else seemed to have paid any attention to it thus far, so the Gryffindor decided not to bring it up verbally, instead just raising his eyebrows at Jack questioningly.
He hadn't imagined the Slytherin really wanted anybody to ask about the scars, but it seemed like everyone was far too preoccupied with the fact that they had a pool to spend their day in to pay him much mind.
"I think I'll just stay here for a while, but... It looks like a blast, so don't let me keep you." He chuckled a bit uneasily as he dipped his hand inside the water once more. It was probably best that he stayed outside of the pool, because just by the time he had stopped talking, he felt like half the school had decided to join in on the fun, and Ruka was having an extremely hard time keeping up with everything.
Being as socially withdrawn as he was at his best days, the commotion didn't do much for his mind except to trigger an insistent tap of One, two, three, one, two, three of his fingers against the metal rim of the make shift pool. Nerves rising with every approaching person, Ruka felt like he lost track of all the familiar faces he'd clung to just moments ago, his eyes frantically looking for someone who could give him some footing in the situation, but he ended up simply staring at the constantly moving water surface.
With his mind on edge like this, Ruka flinched violently when someone cannonballed into the pool, splashing water over everything, including the Gryffindor himself. Shaking his head from stray water droplets, Ruka ran a hand through his now wet hair and over his face. His T-Shirt was soaked, as well as his cloak, but the sun was up and strong so he didn't think it was going to take long for it to dry; And anyway, he had been much wetter in much worse weather before.
"What the hell?" he asked himself quietly, wondering in the moment how he could have possibly ended up in a situation like this when all he had really wanted to do was dip his feet into the lake.
For a second he considered just leaving everyone to their fun and go about his day again, but just as he was about to turn away and walk further towards the Lake, his eyes found Jack again, right there on top of his branch thing, looking far more sheepish than Ruka was used coming from him.
The Fire Dancer took a deep breath as he kept his eyes on the Slytherin while he talked, his nerves easing slightly, his smile shifting back into place for at least a moment. Rolling his eyes at Jack when he addressed various people as different Gods and Goddesses, he couldn't keep a small laugh from bubbling from his chest at being called Hephaestus, God of Fire.
With the conclusion of Jack's little speech, the Slytherin vanished back into the water again, and with that amongst the mass of people that had gathered within such a short time. Losing thought of the one thing grounding him in such an overwhelmingly social situation, Ruka found himself tapping a frantic One, two, three against the edge of the pool again, and he quickly stopped it by dipping both of his hands into the pleasantly warm water.
Letting his gaze drift across the crowd, he glimpsed sight of Willow, but she was clearly busy clinging to the boy who had cannonballed into the pool earlier on, so he just averted his eyes and sighed to himself. It wasn't often that he was made aware of the fact that he hadn't really managed to make any meaningful relationships with anybody since his time at Hogwarts started, but right in this moment it was so overwhelmingly obvious, that it made his eyes sting with it.
At least, he figured, should someone notice he could always blame it on having gotten some water in his eyes.

Jake looked up when he heard his name - he waved to Lark - a girl he had seen a few times around the school and knew was friendly. Both of them were friends with Ruthie too. "Hi Lark," he responded. "Um, they're all playing in the pool," he informed her. He looked in again, watching the other kids. They seemed to be having a very good time, but he still wasn't sure he could join.Interacting with @Lark Flaer @Ruka Tân @George Henry
Mentions @Jack Warren @Willow Anderson @Jack Burnett
His friend Jack was in the water, after splashing most everybody. Willow eventually got on his back and waved to Jake, who waved back in her direction. He hadn't known Willow for a very long time, but he really liked her a lot - and Jack was one of his best friends. His attention was soon taken by the Other Jack - the one from Slytherin. He hadn't got his name the day they met, but he had heard it since.
The boy talked, and Jake stared at the scars that adorned his front and back. How had he gotten those...? Jake remembered the first time he had met him - when they had both been hiding inside of the book fort in the library. At the time, he had thought that Jack was hiding from a bully. Jake had had his own run-ins with bullies in his life...and what Kyle did to him in the abandoned toilets still haunted him, but nothing had left a mark. He had never seen injuries like the ones that Jack had...he couldn't help but stare. He wanted to go ask him what had happened. He knew that if he did though, Jack probably wouldn't want to tell him. He might even be embarrassed. Jake didn't want to make him feel bad...He wished that he knew a way to make him feel better. He lowered his eyes.
So everybody was allowed in? That must have meant Jake too. It didn't sound likely that they would have invited everybody and NOT him...but he still had to remind himself that he was included. (he would just have to make sure to ask about how to repay the Goddess of Spring later). He noticed another boy though on the outside of the pool - a boy who wasn't much bigger than he was. Jake made his way over to the familiar face.
"Hi Ruka!" Jake said, remembering his name from their time on the lawn. He walked up to him and waved. "Are you going in the water?" He had wondered, since he had been standing on the outside like Jake had until a moment ago. "I think I'm gonna..." he said "I just have to go get my bathing suit from my room. Jack did say we're all allowed." His face grew a little more solemn at the mention of Jack, unable to get what he had seen out of his mind.
He then heard another familiar voice for the first time, and turned as his bunk-mate George was passing out a bunch of sweets candies. Jake gave back a look at Ruka as if to say 'hold on' and then hustled over to George.
"Um George, are ya sure you should be doing that? I-it's just...I think you're not really supposed to eat before you swim, right? It's like...an hour you're supposed to wait, and if you don't...well you could die or something," he said, wondering if George had known that or not. His parents had made sure HE did. Always an hour at the beach after eating lunch before going into the ocean. That was more like sandwiches, but food was food, right? He followed behind George to make sure he had heard him, as George explained how he had gotten the candies.
Wait a minute...
"But wait, George, your older brother isn't even..." he began, scratching his head in confusion, ready to state the confusion inconsistency in what George had just said, though he was cut off by a sudden chocoball George shoved in his direction

Adohiro would continue to dip his feet in the cold water as he listened to everyone speak. He didn't know how he could pop in the conversation. "Should we play a game? Maybe chicken fight?" It would be just boring to sit and relax here. He was wanting some interaction with everyone and he was a bit worried if he would look weird. He didn't know if the others would get along at all and he was a tiny bit worried his game idea would spark a class war. But who knows, maybe they would like it? He was a tad bit worried and he continued to sit there unsure about all of this and he certainly didn't know these people one bit and didn't know their interests that much, bur a game might be a good way to get to know them. "So is anyone interested?" He asked everyone present, Hopefully no one would get any bad injuries and it would be a fun ice breaker sort of game. Hopefully, he wouldn't be the one who had someone on top of his shoulders, he was way too light for that kind of activity.

April Fools' Pool Party
Suddenly a whole lot of students showed up at the uh... pool. Opeila quickly got her clothes off the edge of the pool and threw them on the lid that Jack had talked about earlier, it was likely that they ended up being accidentaly kicked in the water otherwise.
The first person arriving was a familiar one. "Willow!" Opeila waved at the little Hufflepuff, smiling. "Cute swimsuit!", she said, before Willow started talking to the other Slytherin.
First badger entered the pool full of snakes, she thought chuckling. More still to come.
Adohiro in the meanwhile seemed to want a conversation to start but the way he asked his questions in, was rather awkward. "I'm... Opeila.", she said, sending a little smile to her housemate, before focusing on the other people that were arriving.
A lion this time. And also a familiar one. "Hey Ruka!", she said smiling. "Come join us! The water is still warm."
Sure, this was Jack's pool so she had no right to invite people really, but since he had just started to upset the guests at her birthday party, what she still was a little angry about, she couldn't really care less.
Then another Slytherin arrived, one of Opeila's least favourite people in the castle. Persephone Barret.
She immediately started to ask Jack if and how he wanted to kill everyone in the pool. Opeila rolled her eyes. "Yes, I guess we're all gonna die later, Barret, care to join us?" The twelve year old smiled at her housemate.
The next person joining seemed to know Willow and immediately started to talk to her. Thrn she introduce herself with all her titles, before she seemed to realise that no one would remember them later. Opeila chuckled. "Nice to meet you, Annie. You can call me Opeila."
And there was the weird Ravenclaw girl who's name Opeila didn't know. She had met her in the abandoned toilets and Jack had told her afterwards what had happened.
Anyway, she would give that girl a chance, right? Opeila waved at her, smiling. She introduced herself as Grace Mint.
Then there was another Ravenclaw, the sweet little girl, that had made a mess in the library. Breana. Opeila smiled at her, glad to see her. "Breana! Come on in!"
The next one was totally unexpected. Opeila just heard someone shouting, what made her wince so hard, that she fell off the branch. Only seconds later someone jumped in the pool making waves go over the Slytherin girls head. She made it back to the surface, brushing back long strands of wet brown hair, laughing her head off.
Opeila didn't know the Hufflepuff, but she was immediately sure that he must be a fun person. She grinned in his direction.
The next boy was another unknown Hufflepuff, who didn't look like he was too eager to get into the pool that was slowly filled with students.
He started to talk to Breana and Opeila turned her attention to the next arriving students.
There was another Hufflepuff, a little, rather shy seeming boy. Opeila just waved in his direction, smiling. Then the boy was called by a girl, that Opeila knew. Lark Flaer, she had been decorating the library with her and Flash. "Flaer! Long time no see!", she said to the girl.
And there was Dale Kurt, the boy who woke her up when she had fallen asleep on a tree. She sent him a smile as well. "Hello Kurt!"
Her attention turned back to Jack when he answered her question about the water. Opeila nodded. "Definitely worth it. But if more people come in that speed, you're gonna have to make it even bigger.", she said smirking. "Seems like people have only waited for something like this."
Opeila's face lightened up even more, when he said that it was the dorm battles that made him excited. This had been a good idea. A really good one. "Well... I guess I'll see you there."
He then greeted a few people as well, before talking to the whole group, telling them what the pool was and everyone was free to use it.
And... then he started to talk aboud gods, turning to Persephone first, then to a few others. Opeila grinned. "And you are... which god? Is there a god of mischief?"
She remembered how she talked about greek gods with Persephone, when she first told Opeila her name.
It was when he jumped off the branch when she first noticed the wounds all over his body. Some of them not looking to old. There were so many... It looked like someone had used him as a board for knife throwing. "The hell...?", she murmured to herself, eyes widened, not sure if she should ask him about it.
Then another familiar face showed up. Dan Palmer, the quidditch captain and the guy who had pinned the notes on the boys' dorms. She waved in his direction. "Come on in!"

Breana smiled as Jack finally took notice of her question, setting her towel aside on the tin. Then she froze for a moment, trying to process what he meant. "Huh...? You-know-who...?" She asked puzzled. Then a slightly paranoid thought dawned on her. Her cheeks slowly gaining a rather deep red hue as she overthought and shouted aloud, "T-the who are you talking about?!"
Before she could panic anymore about what Jack meant, George interjected, saving her for the second time. "Wha-- Oh..." Her expression softened as she saw a familiar face. She laughed along as he reminded Breana about the broom incident. She lightly touched it her forehead. "Yeah, I think it conked all of my memory after that!" She said, holding her hand out for a shake. "Breana Oliveire." Her steel blue eyes shined as George offered her the chocoball. Having a rather huge sweet tooth, she gratefully takes one and pops it in her mouth. "Mm! Awhfuwhe nihsh awf yehr bwhuhwuh tuh fhuy yhuh suhhing whikk thish..." She mumbled as the chocoball stuffed up in her mouth.
She was about to ask more about Hogsmeade when Breana felt a splash of water hitting her. She squealed in delight as she realized that someone just did a massive cannonball into the pool. She turned her attention to the Hufflepuff boy that mentioned dying from eating, which almost made Breana choke out what's left of the chocoball in her mouth. "Wait, WHAT?" She exclaimed, looking over at George for confirmation.
Before she could press the Hufflepuff any further about the dying part, she heard a familiar voice. It was that Slytherin girl that she met, Opeila. Thinking that the boy said just said that to mess with Breana, she shouted back to Opeila, "Stand back, Opeila!!" She said. She waited for a couple of minutes for her to move away, giving her herself a running start and jumping butt first into the pool. It wasn't as grand as the other cannonball, but it was still just as fun for the Ravenclaw.

Grace smiled at the newcomers, she recognized some face while she was in the corridors, some were new the Grace, she scooted to the side to give them more room, Grace looked at Jack Burnett and said “I think you might need to make the pool bigger” she joked, and looked back to the castle, excited to see who would come next, one Hufflepuff, @Jack Warren did a cannonball and splashes Grace all over. Grace would normally get really mad, but she just smiled and laughed, putting her hands in front of her face, Grace didn’t notice, but she had golden specks in her eyes from having so much fun, her blonde hair stayed the same, but it looked more green then blonde since Jack splashed her, Grace looked at it and shrugged, what’s swimming without risks? Grace leaned back onto the pool, her head looked up into the sky, it was a nice day out, that was a good thing, Grace would never come out in bad weather, she would be all cooped up in the library, but she was glad she came out, she could make new friends, and once Grace thought about friends, she turned around to the castle to check if her friend Savannah was coming, after she checked, she turned back around and @Jack Burnett started calling everybody entering gods and goddesses, Grace laughed, she didn’t know he was so funny, "Hmm...seems you might find a good many more ancient gods and goddesses traversing and mingling with mortals here than I realized. In any case, sounds like there'll be no shortage of a good time. Remember, stay safe and have fun!" Jack yelled, and Grace started cracking up, and then Jack jumped into the pool, he started swimming underwater, Grace smiled, the golden specks in her eyes getting bigger and bigger as Grace was having more and more fun, Grace looked around the pool, trying to name everybody she saw, there was @Lark Flaer, who was on the Quidditch team with Grace, she was a very beautiful girl, @Dan Palmer, who Grace just knew from Quidditch games, @Willow Anderson who was in the Hufflepuff Quidditch team, @Opeila Seilun who Grace met in the Abandoned Toilets, Grace smiled at her, @Breana Oliveire Grace had seen her in the Common Room before and the dorms. April Fools' Pool Party
April Fool's Day was supposed to be just another normal day in the life of Astrea. It had been for a long time, after all, and it wasn't until almost 4 years ago when Virgil and Demetre first entered Beauxbatons that the trio found about it.
Honestly, it seemed quite foolish and made everything harder for everyone involved, but with the coming of spring, it didn't seem that way for the rest of Hogwarts. So Astrea had disappeared from the looming structure of Hogwarts to get away from the crowds of suspiciously smug students snickering at each other every so often, unwilling to be the centre of unwanted attention by random children seeking to have some fun at another's expense.
She had wandered the grounds like a ghost, skirting past giggling friend groups- they were making such outrageous commotions, it seemed all of the Wizarding World could have heard them- mostly disregarded past the initial spike of uneasiness that spiked and settled with waves the closer she got to them. It was when she neared a- quite usually empty- grassy square that she heard voices, some familiar and some not, yet all significantly more subdued than the people she had witnessed before.
Kept safe with one hand on a thick tree trunk and the safety of the shaded forestland, Astrea could just see the shiny glint of sunlight against metal, the slash of crystal clear lapping liquid, the crowd of students. There seemed to be a makeshift bathing area, made of a rectangular tin of silvery metal enlarged to epic proportions, to which the crowd she mentioned earlier had gathered in a small flock, like a moth to light. If they had turned their heads, Astrea would have noticed how familiar some of them seemed, a nudging thought that recognised faces and yet disregarded names.
A shock of recognition struck at her as she noticed a particular blonde head of hair and one hand threaded just underneath the waterfall braid she sported, a sprig of cold baby's breath only serving to remind her of the tragic loss of so much hair. Her thick, glossy hair had been her mother's pride, forever as pitch as night and a topic of bonding when she was younger, something that Lady Chou had busied herself with years ago whenever they met each other. Now it was cut shorter than it had ever been in a long time, curved and dark. A stark difference from the last time she had spoken to Willow- curse those spiders.
The water- pool- was quite probably a prank. A jest, a joke, to draw a large crowd for an easy catch. Yet Astrea hadn't taken a dip in anything submerging other than a bathtub for far too long- the Four Bloodlines didn't gather their successors very often, and certainly not for something as frivolous.
Against her more rational judgement, she had wordlessly approached the area from behind with more interest in the pool than any one of the people in particular. Her eyes were drawn to the unholy quilt of scarring one of the swimmers had- she had seen the boy before, Jack, was his name?- before Astrea's gaze fell downwards toward the waters she was nearing. She would not even dip. Just a touch. A touch was all.
She would not stay long.

Interacting with @Grace MintSavannah saw a pool, as a girl who loves swimming she obviously ran to the pool, excited,Savannah smiled as she saw her friend Grace, who she didn’t recognize until she got closer, Grace had short hair for once. Savannah wore a two-piece bathing suit with flowers, not caring about what everyone thought about it, Savannah slipped in beside Grace, who was being a bit shy to everyone, Savannah smiled to Grace and the looked at everyone else, “Hi, my name’s Savannah Griffis, it’s nice to meet ye all” Annah touched the pool, a tin box, and the water was very warm, Savannah’s bushy hair was in a bun with her least favorite hair tie, a green Scrunchie. Savannah looked at Grace’s hair, she touched it, it felt shorts but soft, Annah blushed, but it was unseen with all the steam. Everybody was either a Quidditch player or a Slytherin, but there were just normal people too, Annah had an idea, she went up onto this branch thing that looked like a diving board and jumped down, yelling “CHARGEEEEEEE” straight into the pool, splashing everybody, she laughed, apologizing to everybody, and swam back to her sitting place. Savannah looked around, hoping for something or someone to join the warm waters of the pool.

When Jack came up for air at the edge of the pool, he noticed Ruka lingering beside it, but not coming in. Something was obviously bothering him, but Jack had come to know the fire-dancer was not one to really divulge his insecurities or worries unless prodded about it. He probably didn't want to bother anyone else. Or, maybe like Jack, he wondered who would notice.
There was that finger-tapping again. It incited the Slytherin to frown and swim over. "Ruka, what's wrong?" he asked, expression steeped in concern. "Too many people?"
Noticing the other boy looking at someone, he followed his gaze to Willow whose arms were wrapped around Jack Warren. The redhead laughed. "Oh...does someone have a crush?" When he looked back at Ruka's face again, though, he looked so pained that Jack immediately regretted his words. Doing his best not to touch so as not to cause the Gryffindor to shiver again, he asked gently, "Are you...upset?"
It was then that his eye caught another loner lingering by the edge of the pool. Perhaps she thought she was being discreet and would remain unnoticed. Jack, however, had other ideas. He recognized his fellow Slytherin as the brave girl who had attempted to get the spiders off of suffering Erik when he had been writhing on the floor during the panic of that night.
"Hi!" he told her, waving as he squeezed Ruka's hand with his free one. "Your name...was something like...Neptune, right?" Jack asked, trying to remember. "Really cool name. And perfect for this party. Why don't you hop in? You can show Ruka, here, how it's done."
