Hey guys! Thank you all so much for contributing to our first month of the Weekly Word articles. We greatly appreciate your contributions and I am glad to have been spending my sickles on your worthy articles as compensation.
March Projects
That being said, I fully intended on starting the assignments of March's articles last Thursday and Friday, in an owl, but I had gotten distracted and had forgotten to reach out in regards of this.
What I needed you guys to do is to pick an article/topic for week 5 to 8 and assign what weeks you begin working on the articles. The same thing you did for last month's articles. Thank you.
There is a cavaet, Week 4 must be from a Correspondent, please ensure that spot remains to someone who is a Correspondant. This is international news, outside of the United Kingdom. The Correspondants who can decide who writes an article this month is between Kaeith Casmir and Natasha Blackwood.
Staff Changes
It's always sad when we have to bid farewell to those who joined us, even if briefly, however, in their place we have gained new members.
Lindsey Bliss has left us as the Coder, bringing in her place Lyanna Oak. Lyanna Oak did not code an article before she swapped with Julia Evans. Julia was more interested in being Coder and Lyanna was interested in being a Journalist! With Julia leaving Editor, it opened up a spot and replacing her was Lauren Wong.
if I forgot people, I'm so sorry, I was flipping back and forth between pages in the club sign up thread.
Congrats on the roles guys, you will begin your assignments this month.
Week 5
This week was a little off schedule, which is totally fine, I just need to schedule an overlap, which is a very weird thing to hear, but simply put, if any of us run over time and publication gets delayed, either the Editor in Chief takes control of the situation (depending on how far along the article/project is) or we publish as soon as we get the code, which is hopefully before the next Week's articles are published.
The intended goal is to remain with the publication deadline being Saturday, if we do not meet that, I or Avery will call for an Overlap like we are doing for this week.
Additional Considerations
I have gotten a few suggestions on improving the club or to make some changes to it. If you have suggestions, complaints, whatever, please let me and Avery know, just remember that we intended for this club to feel less like a job and more of a fun activity, with a regular schedule so everyone can enjoy your writing and not have to split the attention with another person that same day or week.
Additionally I have also added a Pay Log and Charts that automate every time your name is put down in a specific column to the google sheets.
