The boy goblin snorted. This whole car smelled a bit rancid, like someone just cropdusted their way through. Maybe a nervous mudblood or something. No pureblood, or elite goblin would ever do anything like that.

He looked around, moving inch by inch behind these slowpokes. In addition to the foul egg smell that was now evaporating away, he could smell the candies on the candy cart and the fresh pumpkin purees. He didn’t want either of those.

He actually brought with him his new favorite snacks, something he had planned on bothering professors with later that year, knowing the unfortunate situation that followed upon the last time of his tasting of the delicious mushrooms that oozed red goo almost as if it were blood filling the enlarged pores.

A sweet look for such a sweet delicacy. He just couldn’t remember what they were called. Of course, despite it being two years and him having saved some, they were a bit dry.. and leathery like.. well.. leather! Each bite would be like pulling apart the most crumbly of the beef jerky in the pack, the driest crunch. But the taste, oh god, the taste.

If he was to shit himself again, it was definitely going to be because of the tasty shrooms. He had a box on his side containing, to the untrained, unwizard eyes, or rather to those clueless, a dream pantaloon, which would do nothing but vanish away in the wearer’s most humiliating moment possible. Possibly leaving them in their boxers. He had plans for this year, and it was to get revenge on his enemies, not that they did anything reasonable to piss him off, but they simply just existed, and Clark couldn’t have that.

No, he really couldn’t. He was seated along the window, hoping no one else would’ve taken a seat there. He wasn’t in the mood for conversation. Maybe in the mood to yell at them, but not in the mood to talk.

I slowly padded through the hallway of the train. This was new. Actually, that's an understatement. This was alien to me. This was foreign, as if an alien had landed on my lawn and told me we were brothers. This was irrational. It was craz-no, this couldn't be crazy. If this was crazy, then I was crazy. I knew that couldn't be true. Furthermore, I knew this was no dream. As if I needed confirmation, I stumbled, stubbing my toe on something, a doorway to a compartment, probably. I grabbed my foot, grimacing. Yeah, I was fully awake. You don't feel pain like that in a dream. A few kids, mostly older than myself, snickered as I bunny-hopped away. I felt myself blushing. I hadn't even arrived at the school yet, and here I was, being a klutz. The compartments I passed by were full with kids, other students, I assumed. Some of them were in regular clothes, the usual, familiar clothes. Others, though, they were dressed in these long black robes almost identical to the ones I had in my trunk. I hadn't changed into those yet, partly because they looked uncomfortable, partly because I didn't want to look silly. Well, Casey, I thought as I looked for a place to sit. If you don't want to look silly, that ship has sailed. I mean, honestly, what was I to tell my friends? Hey guys, so it turns out I'm a wizard! Yeah, its pretty cool, doing magic? I snorted. Yeah, that wasn't going to happen. They would just have to guess why I wasn't at school with them. Anyways, I kept searching for a place to sit. No luck anywhere. Most compartments were full, and from the looks I got from some kids, it was best I kept moving. I almost walked past a compartment, but I stopped. It wasn't full at all. In fact, it was occupied by a single boy. I wasn't sure how old he was, but maybe he was close to my age. Maybe he was new too. Maybe he'd never known about magic or wizards or wands or Hogwarts, this new school, either. Maybe, just maybe. Slowly, I knocked on the door, and then slid it open ever so slightly open so I could speak to him. I smiled, though I was so nervous, I couldn't think straight. "Hey, man. All those other seats are taken. Can I come in?" Before he could say anything, I plopped in the seat across from him and extended my hand. "Nice to meet you. I'm Casey Andrew Lucas, but you can call me Cal or Casey. What's your name?"

With a sharp grunt and a sound that could only come from him blowing out his left nostril in frustration, he looked at the yakking kid, made sure his hands were free and wiggled his fingers, almost as if a comical wiggly-wiggly-woo bibbity-boppity-boo character from a cartoon without a wand, he put a spell on Casey, a simple, small, incantation to the Severing Charm. "Diffindo." He muttered, and he stopped his wiggling fingers and adjusted the hand form to point at the opposing boy's shirt down the front as if to tear the shirt apart like a vest.

"Clark." The goblin snarled. He wasn't to fall victim to a innocent looking hag. "Say another word and I'll hex you like crazy. This isn't even the worst I can do."

He rolled his eyes, having not said the boy's name yet. Casey. It was an interesting name, it's too bad that Clark would have to handle this problem before it entered Hogwarts. He had to save Hogwarts from another.. whatchamacallit... kind heart? No no, Hogwarts had enough, he needed to harden him up, make him seem particularly shrewd and hopefully make him admit defeat to a good life.

He pondered for a moment, then took the box with the vanishing pants in them, handed it off to Casey as if a present. "Calzone. Here. For you. As an apology for tearing your shirt. Or whatever." He scoffed, extending his freakishly long fingers back towards himself and covered his mouth creepily, as if hiding a devillish smile, a sign of no good.

The boy to whom I had introduced myself glared at me, made a strange motion with his oddly long fingers, and muttered a strange word I had never heard before. I'm not sure exactly what he said, but it sounded like something my mom would wash my mouth out for saying. I started to ask, "What are you-?" When my shirt, my new shirt, split right down the middle. Now, if I hadn't been totally shocked, I would've jumped right up, and either run away screaming in terror or picked a fight with him. I hadn't decided yet. I stared at him in shock, and then stuttered out, "M-my shirt. You j-just tore it right down the middle!" I realized that this was probably a bad idea, and I should probably be on my knees begging for mercy, but I was tempted to pull out my fancy new wand and fight him with it. Angry as I was, I thought, Whoa there boy, you don't know how to even use it yet! What are you going to do, poke him in the eye? I realized I couldn't fight him, and I was thinking of what to do next, the boy handed me a box and said, "Calzone. Here. For you. As an apology for tearing your shirt. Or whatever." I didn't expect this at all. I had expected to have to fight him, not get gifts. My anger evaporated. "Whoa, thank you man! I didn't expect this! So, are we cool now?" However, even as I said this, something in his face told me maybe that this gift wasn't given out of the goodness of his own heart.

"Yeah.." Clark paused maliciously. "Cool."

Inside, the goblin really wanted to start belly laughing, roll on the floor and taunt him. But.. the day that Calzone wears his 'gift' would simply be a happy day indeed. Maybe not for him, but for the goblin indeed.

He didn't need to laugh. He straightened his posture, fixed his face and put on a facade. "So, what brings you by to the school of the nerds?" Clark asked, mentally wondering if another hex would be enough to make him want to bolt off the train and go crying to his mommy.

"I'll tell you a bit about me. I can fix that shirt up, but I won't. I want it to be a reminder that you have made an enemy. I will be targeting you every breath you take, I will use your head as a plunger in the toilet if I see you, I will do everything I can to make your life a living hell." The dear old boy spat out casually, turning his body around slightly to lay down on the seat and to turn on his side to rest his head on his arm.

If yapping was what the boy wanted, then Clark was going to do so, but he had hoped to make the experience unpleasurable. That was the goal in any case.

After hearing what this....person said to my face, I didn't say anything for a good full minute. I decided I officially hated.....alright, I didn't know his name, nor did I have any real interest in learning it. I sighed, fixed him with a cold stare and smile, and said through gritted teeth, straining to mask my anger, "Look, man, I don't know who you are, or what your problem is, but you are REALLY testing my patience. I tried my best to be friendly. I really did. But now that you've started this, I won't let you think you can get away with treating people like this. You think you can act like a jerk? I've met people like you before. You know what happened? They. Had. No. Friends." I sat back, glaring at him. Truth is, I had indeed met people like this kid. I always automatically disliked them. But the kid in front of me? Well, honestly, truth is, he reminded me a little bit too much of my main bully in "normal school." See, this kid, Denver, as in in Denver, California, (or was it Colorado?) LOVED to torment me day in and day out. "Princess Casey," as he used to call me. I had no clue why he was such a cruel person, but that didn't change anything. For reasons only God knows, he hated me with every fiber of his being, and my mistake then was not learning to just ignore him, dust myself off, and let it go. Now, though, that was exactly what I was going to do. I leaned forward, got right in this kid's face, and said, as slowly and softly as I could. "If you insist on being a jerk to strangers, I can't help you. If you insist on being horrible, I can't help you. If you want to be alone and without friends, I can't help you. However, know that if you try to continue taking out your anger on me, you will very much be sorry. Don't think I'm bluffing." I stood up, grabbed my trunk, and said, "Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to change before we get to school. Unfortunately, I'm sure we will see each other again." With that, I walked out, slamming the compartment door behind me, and stormed off down the corridor. I didn't look back, but I had a funny feeling this kid, whoever he was, wasn't done with me. That was fine. I wasn't going to spend my time at school being pushed around. He would learn that if he pushed me around, I would push back twice as hard
