While Pyce could only understand snakes, and not actually talk to them, they still thought it polite, and distracting for them, to greet the snake. "Hi Kibō." Pyce gave him a small little wave.
It wasn't very long before another older Gryffindor was talking to Pyce. She introduced herself as Sere Nade, which they thought was a pretty sounding name. And then she asked for theirs.
"I'm, um, Pyce Rotanski." Pyce poked at their roll. "A-also a Gryffindor. Now, anyway." As if Pyce could have ever been anything else. Getting sorted into a house was akin to fate: It was set in stone from the moment you had your first instance of magic, it didn't matter so much where you thought you should belong. The Sorting Hat was the final say.
Should Pyce try to be more optimistic about their sorting in front of other Gryffindors? This was the "house of heroes" after all. A lot of first years would love to be in Pyce's place right now. Stella would have done anything to be sorted here. It would have been easier to accept the sorting if Stella was here...
Pyce missed Stella. She would have made a great Gryffindor. Pyce didn't know why she had to move, but whatever the reason, it wasn't good enough. Because now they were all alone in a house they didn't even consider an option for themself! Pyce wasn't brave, they could barely even introduce themself! They weren't outgoing, they weren't courageous. They were just... Pyce.

The Great Hall beauty is similar to as described by my family. Though I didn't paid much attention as my attention span is very short. The first thing, I did as i entered the Great Hall was finding familiar faces on the Slytherin table whose eyes were also scanning the crowd of first year. I was jumping slightly at my spot to wave at my overly excited and concerned brothers in the crowd. I keep following the first year as we lined up infront of professors and headmaster along with sorting hat sitting on a wooden stool. I am trying my best to not start yapping with the people around me, as i don't wanna be called out and scolded on the first day here, just like one one of the first year did. The sorting Ceremony begin, and students start getting sorted and moving to their houses.
I just got sorted into Gryffindor. My eyes, wide with surprise, excitement and shock, scans the crowd of students on gryffindor table shouting, hooting and clapping in pure, unbinding joy along with my brothers cheering from their seats at Slytherin table shouting ,"That's our lil sissy, Hogwarts!!"Their words and joy making me giggle, as I make my way to a joyfully cheering Gryffindor table excited to make new friends and gain more experience with them.
They handed me my robe, some patting me on my back and some saying their congratulations as I make my way to the only empty seat on the long table. I made my introduction to the people sitting around me with a wide smile on my face,"Hello! Am Saga Abeli Salvatore. I hope we all become friends and have a nice year."Others also introduced themselves and we all indulge in a conversation, too comfortable and easy.
After sometimes, the sorting ceremony come to it's end. All first years were sorted and settled. And soon the tables were filled, magically with delicious, hot, mouth watering feast. The aroma of food can make someone feel hungry on it's own. My stomach grumbles, excited for the feast infront of me and without sparing any other minute, I started filling my plate with the tasty food.

Date : September 1st, 2025 Color code : Written|Thought|Said Sere could see the first-year greeting Kim's pet snake. Only the senior could tell whether Kibō liked Pyce or not. Sere didn't even know if the Emerald Gazer usually made a judgment at first sight. If so, well, maybe snakes had something in common with humans; judgmental behaviour, for example.
Where was she? Oh, right. The first-year introduced themselves as Pyce Rotanski. A quite unique surname. I wonder where they come from... Before the British-Korean girl could express her curiosity, she heard the doubt in their voice as Pyce mentioned that they were -now- a Gryffindor. This is just my feeling or something is off in their tone? Sere took a spoonful of Shepherd's Pie (which hadn't tasted that good since she saw the roasted chicken Kim had brought to his plate) and chewed, trying to peer behind those bright-green eyes.
There seemed to be something bothering them. But I couldn't quite narrow down their concern. Sere was not an expert in reading other people's feelings. Her suspicions stemmed solely from past experiences, and one of the possibilities was that Pyce's odd expression right now was caused by the Sorting Hat's result. Sere had heard some similar frustrations about how the hat placed the firsties in houses they didn't want.
But this was a baseless possibility. Pyce could be missing their family, feeling uncomfortable in this crowds and festive atmosphere, or dealing with other personal matters. Before her assumptions went any wilder, Sere decided to ask directly, "Are you okay?"Interacting with : @Kim Sato & @Pyce Rotanski

Cheers arose from the Gryffindor table and everyone clapped. But for Natasha, the world was spinning and spinning. Everything froze. Her heart went on overdrive. Her legs could barely pick herself up. She went to the Gryffindor table, to where everyone was sitting.
She had just been sorted into Gryffindor.
The world seemed to freeze and her eyes got blurry. She didn't belong here. This was wrong!
"Welcome to Gryffindor!" One of the boys sitting next to her said.
"I have to go." I said quickly, getting off my chair. I needed a moment to process this. I needed a moment to wake up from this stupid nightmare! Why won't I wake up!
I ran all the way down the corridors. I didn't care where I was going. Hot tears prickled down my face. I didn't belong here. Why? What was wrong with that stupid old hat! She yelled in frustration. Wake up! This is not real. This is not possible. She wiped the tears of her face as she kept walking. If she walked far enough, she would probably get lost and go die somewhere. That was better than returning to this stupid, idiotic absolutely awful reality!
Of all the houses there were. She had to get sorted into the worst one. The filthy goody two shoes, heroic Gryffindor. Everything she was not. Everything she hated. She would never truly be a Gryffindor. Because deep in her heart, she knew she was a Slytherin. Ans she would do everything to prove it.

By the time Roland finally made it to the Gryffindor Table, the huge grin stretched across his face had begun to sting his cheeks. He looked a tad daft, positive, yet he didn't even care. 'Gospode Bože!' (hr.) "Oh my God!" he thought, 'Why on earth am I that happy?'
Roland could attribute this happiness to the recent great discovery that he was a wizard. What 11-year-old could possibly resist the allure of the idea of having the potential to achieve almost anything he desired simply by waving a wand? Alternatively, he could infer that the enduring nature of this merriment was related to his having been sorted into Gryffindor. After all, lions were Roland's favourite in zoos (but only those with ethical sensibilities), a preference that was closely linked to the 'king of the jungle' image in fables. Beyond that, he was immediately captivated by the aesthetic harmony created by the tasteful combination of gold and red. Like every theatre kid, Roland Domagoj, too, was armoured with a polished sensitivity that form was as significant as content, and at times even more so.
Yet, suffer us, the all-seeing narrator, to step forth and meddle: Both of the above possibilities were largely, if not completely, irrelevant to the boy's heart thrubbing with the utmost hilarity. If Roland's inner realm was under siege by a happiness unexperienced so vividly before, it was because everything, without exception, resembled a grand stage and its vast set piece, and everyone, the cast of characters. The boy remembered Shakespeare's words thoroughly merited to be memorised by crowds, and even hung framed in his mother's office: "All the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely players." Roland was currently a mere figurehead in this production. Yet he subtly sensed that should he open his mouth and speak, the words spilt between his thin lips would forever be etched into the canon of this unprecedented play.
When settled onto a chair, surrounded by the other inhabitants of his new home within this overly-enchanted castle, Roland was almost enraptured. Breathing deeply through his nose, with a sweet effort, he gave a slight nod to the first person whose gaze he captured. "Cor blimey," he exclaimed, "still can't believe this is happening!"

Skylar sits at the Gryffindor Table, still slightly shaken from her sorting. Excitement buzzes around her, but luckily she didn't hear anything else about being a Hatstall. Skylar slowly breathes a sigh of relief at the realization that no one else was going to jab at her. Finally getting back her appetite, Skylar grabs her food and digs in. However, she makes eye contact with another student.
"Cor blimey," he exclaimed, "still can't believe this is happening!"
The boy had a contagious smile that Skylar couldn't help but return. She notes how he speaks almost as if he was in a play. She hear him talk a few times before and he also sounded very eloquent. She sips her butterbeer and grins at the boy, whom she has not gotten the name of yet.
"You can say that again! It's only the first day, too. Imagine the rest of the year!" She replies.
Aside from the fact her sorting was a little more unexpected, Skylar finds that she did in fact enjoy her journey to Hogwarts. She looks towards the boy again and cocks her head to the side. She wonders where he is from and what classes he is going to take. She has not made any friends yet, but made pleasant conversation with a few. She offers the boy some pumpkin pastries.
"I'm Skylar. Skylar Blue. How about you?"

Inés sat down to next to other first grades. Everything was feeling like a big dream. Now she had a house that will be her family? And she will live the best time of her life in here? Oh Dumbledore’s beard, how exciting is that!
The myriad dishes on the table looked so appetising that even the most sated person would inevitably take a bite of something. Being full was certainly not a state for Inés. Eating, savoring the taste of food, was one of Inés's ways of life. As she picked up some salad and meat from the plate in front of her and began to eat, she raised her head and surveyed the table.
Inés was dying to make new friends. She wanted to talk about everything and anywhere. She wanted to talk about her life before Hogwarts, then listen to the new "friend" talk.
Everyone was chatting with each other, or had their heads buried in their food, focused solely on eating. Ah, what a lovely atmosphere. As she glanced around, her attention fell on the girl sitting in front of her. With her blue hair, it was impossible to miss her. She listened to her conversation for a moment, trying not to look strange. The girl had a very sweet voice. She was chatting with another first-year student next to her. The boy was seems like a mix of several different ethnicities. They both seem so excited about everything going as well. She fidgeted with excitement at the desire to talk to them.
Inés didn’t want to cut two’s words, so she waited to find a space to jump in.

The slow walk to the Lion's table was surreal. it was supposed to be an exciting moment, at least, that's based on the queues he picked up from the rest of the first years. He had spotted his cousin, still shocked that the girl from the farm ended up being a witch in her own right, around the crowd as well. His mind was still running on automatic, curious of what his parents would have thought had they lived to see their son turn out to be in Gryffindor rather than Ravenclaw.
Brave? Chivalrous? Words he'd never considered as applying to himself. He was nothing of the sort and in the moment he crossed the threshold to see all the new and older lions speaking amongst themselves, it only served to solidify his thoughts. He barely had the courage to find an empty seat at the table. How was he supposed to spend the next seven years draped in scarlet?
"Uh, I..."
Emil opened his mouth, but nothing resembling words came out. There was no place to cut in, no silence to fill. The crowd was engrossed in the feast and all he could do was take his seat and take a look at the food that was laid out before him. Maybe something could whet his appetite and loosen his lips. Some pumpkin juice, maybe?

"Nice to meet you, Skylar," Roland answered, still preserving the sheer shine of excitement across his face. "Yeah, I'm really hoping this year turns out to be amazing!" He offered the girl a gentle smile. "I'm Roland. That's a French name," he started explaining, "and Domagoj, that one came from all the way from Croatia. So, Roland Domagoj Marin. Mouthful, I know... Pleasure!"
"Are you happy with the Hat's decision?" he posed a question, whilst partaking of a measured sip of the peculiar liquid provided at the feast table. It was, the Marin boy noted, surprisingly palatable. "I don't know much about the Hogwarts houses, but I liked the sound of ours. Gryffindor. It rings nice, huh?" Having rolled his eyes slightly, "Slytherin sounds a bit suspicious, almost snaky. Reckon I'm glad to have been sorted here."
His eyes drifted down the length of the table, longing for the other dishes and desserts beyond his immediate grasp. In that glance, his eyes touched another girl. Now, Roland, a mere child, was hardly a seasoned judge of human behaviour. Nevertheless, he felt that she wanted to join in the conversation. He gave a small nod and said, "Oh, don't be a stranger," smiling. He raised his glass to her like he was making a toast. "Roland," he introduced himself. "And this is Skylar, my friend I just met." He took another sip of his drink. "I was just asking Skylar if she was happy with the Hat's decision. What about you?"

She smiled sweetly to both of them and nodded with her head. She was making her first friends, how exciting! Even this simple act of making friends seemed so magical. "My name is Inés. Inés Ivonna. I'm very pleased to meet you."
The Sorting Hat ceremony, right. Inés was so excited that she felt she might forget everything she knew if she didn't answer immediately. "Ah, the Sorting Hat ceremony... To be honest, I thought I was most suited into Hufflepuff, like my mother. I wasn't entirely sure, though, because everyone in our family belongs to a different house. My father was sorted into Slytherin, my mother into Hufflepuff back in the day. My brother is in Ravenclaw, and I ended up in Gryffindor. I feel like, if Sorting Hat put me into Gryffindor, he knew something. Plus, I really liked having the opportunity to meet you guys.” She chuckled as she finished her sentence.
She turned slightly and made eye contact with the girl in front of her. "What about you? Did you like the Sorting Hat putting you here?"
When she finished her sentence, then she could put some food into her mouth finally.
Merlin’s Beard these are so good!
"I’m not gonna lie guys, but these foods are so good. They can even compete with my mom’s!” She pointed out the foods before them.
Between two bites, she said,“And how much time we have until dinner is done? I can not wait to see our dorms.”
As soon as she finished her sentence, her eyes suddenly opened as if she had remembered something and she looked back at the blue hair girl. She quickly finished the food in her mouth and spoke. "Oh, what if we are in the same dormitory? Do you know which one it is?"
