Adohiro stepped into the dim classroom, wondering what was going on. He would sit in the classroom alone and he'd get his books out. He then began to slowly study ahead. He needed to be the top of his class to prove his older brother that he could lead. The baby-faced boy would work on his assignment quietly. He certainly wasn't happy about getting a ton of As and not even a single E. All of his training for English and for magic sure seemed like it was for nothing. He 'd sit and start to write his homework out in a neat and readable handwriting. He certainly wasn't the smartest, but he was a hard-working student. That was where he shone, his hard work got him good grades. Letting out a small sigh he would continue his work without complaint. He wondered if anyone else was having trouble in these classes. He certainly was. It seemed the teachers were much more strict. He would continue to work slowly and didn't know if there was anyone near him. He was a bit worried he wouldn’t pass his classes since the teachers seemed to be very strict! He was really worried!

Curses, dark creatures, hexes, and jinxes, Seul had already learned much about the dark arts prior to school, albeit she had learned most of her other courses as well. Defense against the dark arts was perhaps her favorite class, given that her family has a history of prominent Aurors.
The classroom itself was no doubt /dark/, with an iron chandelier hanging from the ceiling and dragon’s skeleton to the side. Was the skeleton even authentic? Rows of wooden desks were lined up before a projector which seems to be activated by some sort of magical spell. It was indeed a very peculiar muggle invention, given that Hogwarts is making use of it. Seul preferred the traditional chalkboard, however. She took an empty seat near the front and began to unload her class materials. The textbook titled “The Dark Forces: A Guide to Self-Protection” by Quentin Trimble was certainly a fascinating read. Seul was already ahead, learning about werewolf bites and how to cure them, though it wouldn’t hurt to brush up on the current lesson.
The girl examined her surroundings as class was about to begin. She noticed most of the class was separated by house, not that there were any organized seating charts. A few Gryffindor girls were sitting awfully close together, giggling. Professor Pendrast would probably take care of them. Seul then noticed her neighbor, an asian boy wearing a Slytherin robe… possibly another Korean? He seemed to be too busy studying his textbook to notice her looking in his direction. Seul could care less about who he was, even if he was Korean. She only hoped this boy won’t become a nuisance.

Adohiro would work on his assignment diligently until he noticed another person came in. He could hear the soft sounds of footsteps but he did not look up at all. He would continue to write down the spells to him and he would carefully read over the words. What felt like an hour of studying, he would finish. His notes were very neat and well organized along with 'pretty' handwriting. He certainly was skilled in notetaking however he soon noticed a presence looking at him. It creeped him out a bit and he would try to ignore it as he would highlight important words and lines in the notes he took. "Yes, what do you need?" He asked the unknown girl politely and passively manner. She was a Ravenclaw based on her outfit, so at least it wasn't another mean Slytherin. Adohiro certainly wasn't like that, he could pull pranks but they weren't mean spirited in any shape or form. Adohiro wasn't a typical Slytherin at all and he would cast a glance at the girl. She was Asian, possibly Korean since it appeared she had high cheek bones. The half Japanese and Korean boy would slowly work again. He couldn't believe these classes were that hard!

The moment Seul turns her head back to her desk, her eyes caught the gaze of the Slytherin boy. “진짜”* the girl muttered under her breath. She really couldn’t avoid any attention could she?
"Yes, what do you need?"
It was a soft-spoken question, but there was this tone in his voice that vexed Seul. She took an elongated deep breath and readjusted herself. She wasn’t particularly in the mood to speak, but perhaps she needed to assert her status over this kid. The girl closed her textbook and in a posh manner, replied without answering the boy’s question: “You assumed I was looking at you? Well you’re clearly mistaken, I was merely observing my surroundings. Now if you don’t mind, you may return to your studies…oh, and kindly mind your own business.”
Was she too harsh with her insult? No, that ought to keep the boy from speaking to her anymore. Her character definitely comes off as cold and harsh, but that was just the way she was raised. She did not really mean what she said, though she just said what had to be said for her to get some peace and quiet. Seul’s little confrontation seemed to have harbored some attention from her peers, although she was sure to keep her voice low enough so that Professor Pendrast wouldn’t notice. She ignored the stares and immediately went back to her studies, opening back up the textbook. Hopefully the boy won’t bother her again…

Adohiro would see the woman look angry at him. Was she on her period or PMS? He wondered as he turned away. She seemed to be in a bad mood but he was slightly interested in her. It piqued his mind in the way she acted and all. It was a bit funny and crazy. He let out a roll of his eyes and he stood up. "I guess someone is on their period." He would announce out loud to the class directed to her. He could be vindictive at times and this certainly was the moment to do it. He was treated rudely for basically no reason and she shall suffer! "Were you not whooped as a kid for the behavior you're displaying?" He questioned her. Certainly, her parents didn't discipline her and Adohio decided he would try to teach her to be kind. "You shouldn't be rude at all to your peers." He would make this a public discussion for the poor girl. Maybe she would feel shame and all that good stuff? Could he at least try and teach her to not be so stand offish? He couldn't believe thsu rudeness, he would be slapped for talking like that to her and he crossed his arms.

"I guess someone is on their period.”
"Were you not whooped as a kid for the behavior you're displaying?"
"You shouldn't be rude at all to your peers."
“You’re speaking to me about discipline?” Seul responded with a fury in her words. She could not believe the kid, who had the audacity to announce to the class that she was on her period; although in reality, this was probably the time of the month again. Nonetheless, the boy’s words proved to be hypocritical. How could he go on about telling her she was rude when he was the one that insulted her. Seul tried to remain composed, though it was hard not to feel embarrassed from all the attention she was receiving. This was certainly not the way her day should have gone. How hard is it to avoid these obnoxious salamander heads. “If you had half a brain, you should go back to studying, seeing as you need to in order to even maintain a decent grade in this class.” Trying to cool down, Seul added: “Now if you don’t mind, I’d appreciate it if you refrain from your primitive urges to bother me again.”
In hindsight, Seul had overreacted too much and made a fool of herself, which had never happened before. Perhaps the boy was genuine about asking if she needed anything. If anything, the girl felt bad about unleashing her cold character on the poor boy. Not wanting to draw anymore attention to herself, she returned to her usual reading position, now drowning out any outside noise.

OOC: Sorry for the late response, I had some other threads and IRL work I needed to get out of the way. I think I may want to end this thread soon, given that there isn't much else to roleplay here besides continuing to argue.
Also, the post quality may not be up to par as I am writing this very late at night.

Ana had been quietly sitting at one of the desks, studying, mimicking the wand movements she saw drawn on the pages of her book practicing the spell she wanted to learn. The young ravenclaw was completely immersed in her work so that she did not hear the two students talking at first. Only when the female, an Asian-looking first year with Ravenclaw robes, raised her voice, Ana looked up. “You assumed I was looking at you? Well you’re clearly mistaken, I was merely observing my surroundings. Now if you don’t mind, you may return to your studies…oh, and kindly mind your own business.” She stared in surprise - that was harsh. What had the boy done to her?Interactions: @Adohiro Moira @Seulrene An
However, his retort surprised and angered her even more. With a roll of his eyes, the Slytherin, also of Asian descent judging by his face, stood up and spoke loudly to the whole class. Chairs creaked under the shifting weight of students, heads turned around to take in the scene. "I guess someone is on their period. Were you not whooped as a kid for the behavior you're displaying? You shouldn't be rude at all to your peers." Ana felt adrenaline flooding her body, her chest heaving, breath going quicker with the rage that consumed her. What the hell was wrong with him? Sure, the girl had not exactly been nice to him, but in no way did that justify his remark.
Ana chewed on her fingernails. She badly wanted to tell the Slytherin exactly what she thought of his remark - but it would not reflect well on her, would it? She had already gotten into a fight a few days ago, she certainly didn't want to repeat the experience. Ana forced herself to wait.
“You’re speaking to me about discipline? If you had half a brain, you should go back to studying, seeing as you need to in order to even maintain a decent grade in this class. Now if you don’t mind, I’d appreciate it if you refrain from your primitive urges to bother me again.”
The first-year couldn't help but smile at this answer. The girl could clearly stand up for herself. There was no need for her to intervene...
However, as the conversation continued, Ana's eyes opened wide in disbelief. "Do you think we can be friends?" She shook her head, exhaling loudly. Her fury bubbled over. "What on earth...?", she said in a raised voice, on the verge of yelling, as she stood up. The chair tumbled to the floor behind her. "That is definitely not how you make friends! I can't believe it... The audacity! You're being rude as hell to that girl and then you ask her to be your friend? Just to inform you, not all girls or women have PMS, and even if they do, someone currently menstruating is certainly no goddamn excuse to invalidate her position! As for what you said about her being whooped as a child for her behaviour - I damn well hope that nothing of the sort happened to her! What the hell is wrong with you? Do you actually think child abuse is normal or a good thing? I'd be surprised if she wants to be your friend after the shit that just came out of your mouth!" The fiery glint that had appeared in Ana's dark eyes during her rant was still visible, her fists clenched with anger. Reflecting on her short speech, it would probably have been smarter to use less swear words, but at the same time, she did not regret a bit of it. Ana was very close to outright slapping him; only the last ounce of self-reflection kept her from it.
This kind of behaviour, boys calling out girls for being on their period and using it to keep them small, invalidate what they were actually saying, was something Ana could not stand at all. It was misogynist and just... rude. She had had to speak up.

The Asian boy was quite surprised when he had heard someone speak up about their conversation. It was utterly insane and he would cast a small smile at her. "She was rude to me when I had asked her if she needed anything but she decided to be rude about it. I was only being helpful. She reaps what she sows!" The two-faced boy said crossing his arms. "And also you weren't even part of this conversation. I think you need to learn to not bud into people's conversations in a public place. And also whooping a child isn't abuse. It teaches them respect, something that this girl never learned. She could have said no thank you and ended the conversation." He was hell-bent on getting the justice that he deserved. He had done nothing wrong before until the girl spoke like a rude queen that sat on her throne getting free handouts. "And who are you?" He asked the unknown student. He was surprised she had the audacity to snap at him and call him out for his behavior. She wasn't being affected, sure they were being noisy but she could have ignored it. It was insane and he would cross his arms. "if anything I was the one who's been wronged."

Ana had not been exactly sure what she expected of the boy, but upon hearing his answer, she realized that she had hoped for him to realize his mistake. Admit how rude and out of place his remark had been.Interactions: @Adohiro Moira @Seulrene An
Instead, the Slytherin answered back to her with a smug little smile. "She was rude to me when I had asked her if she needed anything but she decided to be rude about it. I was only being helpful. She reaps what she sows! And also, you weren't even part of this conversation. I think you need to learn to not bud into people's conversations in a public place. And also whooping a child isn't abuse. It teaches them respect, something that this girl never learned. She could have said no thank you and ended the conversation. And who are you? If anything I was the one who's been wronged." Ana folded her arms, shooting an icy glare at him. Being unfriendly was one thing. But calling someone out because they might be having their period - in conclusion, because they were a woman - and announcing it to the whole class like that was another, and could not be justified with a simple unkind comment.
Ana noticed that he had not even mentioned that part of what she had said. Did he know that he was in the wrong here, refusing to admit it? And what the boy had mentioned concerning whooping children was nothing less than disgusting to Ana.
She had meant to keep out of any fights and arguments for the next few months. She was in enough trouble without this kind of thing. But this boy... he infuriated her. A lot. She couldn't let this kind of attitude pass.
"To answer your question, my name is Ana Fox. It's a name you'd better keep in mind. Yes, she was rude to you. Yes, she could have just said "no thanks". But that doesn't give you the right to blame anything she did or said on her menstruation. This is none of your business, don't you understand? And I wish you'd just acknowlege that you shouldn't have done that instead of pretending I didn't say anything about it like it was completely fine what you said. Also, what the hell is going on in your head that you think hitting a child is not abuse? There are so many ways to teach a child to be respectful - with positivity, with love, being a good example. Not with physical violence - or violence at all. Did your parents do that kind of thing to you? Look how you ended up - going around making disgustingly rude, nasty, misogynist comments about people. If I witness that kind of thing, I'm going to bud into your "conversations" as much as I like. Don't tell me anything about respect when you're acting like this."
Ana glared at him, waiting for the Slytherin's response.

The Slytherin boy was in a bad mood from being woken up by his dorm mates' pranks and it was nearing lunchtime. However, he just wanted to end this! "Fine, I admit I was wrong, rude, and I am sorry! However, I think @Seulrene An should apologize too for snapping at me." He said seeking the justice he deserved. He wasn't in the wrong at all and he was a bit mad this girl took this girl's side and not even his. Yes, his comment was rude, but her comment was even ruder! However, he would try to act like he was sorry. He didn't want to make any sort of enemies today at all, that would be bad! It's enough to be disliked by people, but he didn't anything like this at all. He was a bit perplexed, but he crossed his arms. "How about we all start over okay? Forget whatever happened, we're all tired and hungry. So we're all on edge. So let's just relax and do what we can to be nice to each other.' He would tell the Korean girl and @Ana Fox. Maybe this would be solved with no strings attached! He prayed that it would!
