Even the town Elmo lives in (Bar Harbor, Maine) is a tourist town! lol (I mean I knew that, and I know that what they sell is junk sometimes, BUT HEAR ME OUT, it's a different level of tourist town junk in comparison to the ones I've seen in Myrtle Beach (south carolina), my town and Panama City Beach (Flordia). all three of those tourist towns are veryyyyy similar, like I barely see a difference

it must be so weird living in a touristy area. imagine i've like visited that tourist town (i haven't but imagine). i could've, you know, walked by you without realising (you would've probably fainted upon seeing my grace and beauty).

I think everyone looks alike and is equally as modest as they can be.

In the next town over, they have a bunch of the junk 5 dollars or less shops (not worth it, trust me), in the mountains, there's even more of the junk stores but they're not 5 dollars, they're not even american made. They advertise it as american made, but they were made in china, in singapore, or in taiwan (amongst other countries). People really only come here for the theme park but also for the mountains.

It's not really worth coming down here unless you planned on going broke in about a few hours on things that will only grant temporary fun or happiness.

I WANTED to buy a sawfish rostrum

I saw it right after we ate at Route 66 (lowk, like cracker barrel but with diner food not fried food and with old 1950s roadside vintage decoration)


I don't remember if this was TO or FROM Bangor. Regardless, still my first flights.


I also saw a cruise ship for the first time! I didn't realize how HUGGGGGGEEEEEEE they were, even from a distance.



One of the last places we "walked", unlike the mountains here, were allowed to walk out on the rock ledges! This was in acadia national park? Still in Maine

Arrived to Panama City Beach! That same day, I tried to capture a video or whatever after the Blue Angels flew over us but they didn't come back around lol, so I don't have proof of that sadly.


This was the day after. We didn't stay for a week, we stayed for a few days, I think 3 max? I'll have to look at last year's calendar again.


Unfortunately mom couldn't do most of this, she was in meetings for hourss but we weren't, so I went off and did things, and one of the things I did was swim both in the ocean (not really swim? More so wade and submerge my body) and in the hotel pool, and relax.

Maine is awesome! Though it wasn't too pretty when I went in the summer, but I've heard it's amazing to see in the fall!

Yeah, last year was fun. I just don't think we'll have another fun opportunity this year. I'm TRYING to see HOW to talk my mom's nonprofit organization (she doesn't run it) into doing a conference in Hawaii, preferably close to the Pearl Harbor Museum so I can go but I highly doubt that'll happen since they frequently do it at a deaf college or in Colorado.

I wish we came during PUFFIN season, but we were too late. We did see porpoises and seals and went deep sea fishing for the first time! (part of me realllllly wanted a shark to come under our boat )
My brother caught a lot of fish! I caught a lot too. Later I found out I hate the taste of mackerals, also the first time I had them. We bought lobsters and made dinner with them, bought lobster ice cream and man it really did taste a lot like butter but with a hint of lobster.

Uhh, we stayed in an airbnb cabin that was comped as well. It honeslty looked like a normal house so if cabins up north look different to cabins down here, I think I saw the difference. Also I discovered maine does paper bags at their stores NOT plastic. I wanted to do one of the pirate themed minigolf, so we did, I loved it. It was fun.

I read a book all about gnomes, and I loved the smell of the pages. It was old, kind of musty, and man it was a dream. We ate out, all the food was comped, hiked and as much as we could over the course of five days because we had to board the plane on.. Friday if I recall correctly, at like 10am.

Oh and we did buy a lot of maine blueberry soda, it was that good and bought a jar of the jam.

That would be so cool! I've been to Pearl Harbor and it was so cool! It was sad to see the sunken Arizona, but as a history nerd, it was interesting to learn more about what happened there. I even got to see the USS Missouri there while it was still a battleship!

You're so lucky that you got to see puffins! I got to see them in Alaska! They're so cute!

Same for us tho reception is called something else and we use grade 1,2,3, etc. instead of year (tho i'm in IB curriculum)

Yeah, that's all stuff I want to see! (Well that's not the only historical thing I want to see, I also want to see the Aon Tower (not necessarily historical, just significant to me as it had the same build as the twin towers), the Ocean Liners before they're all sunk. I think?? the SS United States is to sink this year, unless it was already sunk. I want to see stuff on war history, native american history, and all)
