A part of the dining room in Mahoutokoro's great hall where students usually feast, is covered by a new red and pink stripped cloth. On that cloth, is plain cookies of all shapes, plastic wraps of all kinds, frosting/icing and small decorations to add , ribbons of any colour, and paper with writing utensils. Excited, curious - and even wary students may find themselves at these tables. Already starting to decorate their cookies, and writing letters. There would likely be an excitable air today in this school with everyone passing notes and cookies.
Some may point out that this was too sudden. The headmaster has given zero indication that there would be something like this for the students to engage in. In fact, he had been rather disinterested in Valentines day. Students could've been able to witness him last week, where the only things he announced were reminders of the next mock exams, and how
'saturday would be a wonderful time to study instead of being preoccupied of non-important things that wouldn't be quizzed in exams'. What a lengthy way to say he was not a fan of Valentines day. But no surprise to anyone who knew him enough to know how much he valued education. And yet here he was, organizing a small opportunity for students to celebrate the popular day.
Sako wasn't a fan of this, and would rather the students go through mandatory sunday class instead. But he was in a good mood, actually. Last week he had looked into the previous examination results and was greatly pleased with them. Better than he thought. So he figured,
fine - they could have a little fun. After all, it was his influence that made this happen.
While he had set the place up early in the morning, it was only at 11am were the fresh cookies, frosting, and writing utensils bought out, ready and available for students to be creative. Whether the cookies were for them, or others, it wouldn't matter.
Sako wasn't participating, instead he was leaning against the entrance of the dining hall. Almost like a hall monitor, if anything. Hoping to be a physical reminder that just because he had allowed ONE small opportunity to have fun, didn't mean the Mahoutokoro students could use this as an excuse to cause trouble.
